Limited edition numbered Doctor Who collector’s posters up for grabs at Hamleys Stores across the UK
September 2014 will see a very special Doctor Who event take place at five Hamleys Toy Shops in locations around the UK, when a series of uniquely numbered exclusive posters will be available for fans to get their hands on.
The posters are the first and only collector’s posters ever created by the producers of the official Doctor Who figures, Character Options. On each poster the entire collection of 3 ¾ inch figures they have released to date are shown. Only 250 of the posters have been produced for the five Hamleys stores (London Regent Street, Glasgow, Cardiff, Dublin and Manchester) and each is uniquely numbered from 1-250 for authenticity.
The poster has been created to celebrate the launch of the latest series of Doctor Who figures, which have been produced to commemorate the new TV series and the brand new Twelfth Doctor played by Peter Capaldi. With fans always eager to get their hands on any unique Doctor Who memorabilia, they are bound to be popular.
To be eligible fans must purchase an item from Hamleys’ Doctor Who collection. The posters will be available as a free gift with that purchase but only while stocks last. There is no minimum spend, but as the gift is so unique it is restricted to one per customer.
Grant Yuill, Marketing Manager of Hamleys commented; “Our free limited edition Doctor Who poster day is a very exciting event for our shops. Doctor Who has so many fans that like to collect the figures and other memorabilia but now with the chance of owning one of these very exclusive posters we expect there to be a huge demand. What’s more we have an added bonus of 25 goodie bags for fans that come dressed in Doctor Who costume. These will be distributed free of charge on a first come first served basis.”
The posters were available from the following stores on the selected dates;
· London Regent Street – 20th September 2014 from 9:30am
· Manchester – 20th September 2014 from 9:30am
· Glasgow – 20th September 2014 from 9am

September 28th, 2014 - 10:43amDo you think there will still be spare stock from either the Manchester or Glasgow days in order to ring up and send via post?
Ieuan Jones
September 28th, 2014 - 9:16amWhy doesn’t the poster feature the 11th doctor in tweed and 12th doctor regenerated in wave 3! Because I recently picked up the 12th doctor regenerated from wave 3 and it looks far superior to the wave 2 version!

September 27th, 2014 - 4:33pmLol, guys check out this photo I made: https://www.flickr.com/photos/stetsondoctor/15183248450/

Hello Rusty
September 28th, 2014 - 4:21pmGreat picture !!!!!!!!
Ian
September 29th, 2014 - 8:54amThat looks a lot better.
StetsonDoctor
September 27th, 2014 - 3:26pmGot mine today via Manchester mail order. My poster has the same problem as mentioned below with the blue-chested Cyberman-must be just on the Manchester ones.
Also, the design is different. On the Glasgow picture here, it has 12 and the TARDIS with ‘Am I a good man?’ And mine has 12 crouched down with ‘I am the Doctor’. So again, must be different on Manchester poster I supposed?
Chris
September 27th, 2014 - 3:59pmEach Hamleys has its own unique Capaldi image in the bottom right corner. The blue chest piece problem seems to be exclusive to Manchester unfortunately.
StetsonDoctor
September 27th, 2014 - 4:02pmI didn’t realise that at first (probably me being slow!). Do you know any of the other designs apart from Manchester/Glasgow?
Chris
September 27th, 2014 - 5:33pmLondon’s is the Doctor in that pose from the first publicity shot of his new costume, back in January. The one with his hands and fingers outstretched.
StetsonDoctor
September 27th, 2014 - 5:46pmThanks.

NCC1701D
September 27th, 2014 - 10:07amJust been to the Cardiff one, bought 2 12th Doctor figures and got give 2 posters for the privilege, numbers 14 and 70 out of 250, number 14 and one of the Doctor figures will be remaining in their packs but I have taken out the others. Also, since I went dressed as the 11th Doctor from series 7 part 2 I was generously given one of only 25 goody bags, in case they’re different between stores I’ll tell you what it contained: Character building figure (in my case a Vashta Nerada figure) a Doctor Who A4 ring binder and, best of all…
NCC1701D
September 27th, 2014 - 10:08amcont. …A Deep Breath DVD. It was brilliant and thanks very much to all at Hamleys.
booboo
September 27th, 2014 - 10:09amthat’s good, many people there?
NCC1701D
September 27th, 2014 - 10:33amThere were between 20 and 25 of us queued up waiting to go in before they opened, so there was a fair few but not as many as I might have thought, although I suppose more people will be going in throughout the day. By the way, do you know where they post the costume photos they take?
booboo
September 27th, 2014 - 10:36amhave seen some on their facebook pages from other events
keep an eye on here https://www.facebook.com/Hamleyscardiff

Doctorgeorgebaker
September 28th, 2014 - 6:24pmPlease can I have the spare one! My nearest store is 50 miles away
Chris
September 26th, 2014 - 9:34pmHas anyone else’s poster got the wave 1 Cyberman with a blue chest piece? I’ve looked up several images of the poster and they’re all grey as the figure is.
Chris
September 26th, 2014 - 10:10pmIt seems odd that just one would have the chest piece printed blue…
Anonymous
September 27th, 2014 - 8:56amI believe the blue chest piece one was a rare variant
Chris
September 27th, 2014 - 9:16amYes. It has a blue chest piece and fun on its right arm in the rares section. That doesn’t explain why the regular wave 1 version has a blue chest piece.
Someone would have taken the time to colour the piece in during the design stage; it’d be very odd if it’s just mine which is like that.
booboo
September 27th, 2014 - 9:38amvery odd
I have seen several posters and i have 3 here and none have the blue chest plate in the std figure
i have not had my poster from Manchester yet though
booboo
September 27th, 2014 - 10:24ammy Manchester posters just arrived and they have Blue chest plates like yours – very odd
Anonymous
September 27th, 2014 - 11:38amBoth the standard and rare figure?
What number of 250 is yours? Seems strange that just the Manchester posters are slightly inaccurate.
booboo
September 27th, 2014 - 12:01pmyes both have blue plates
Where In Time And Space
September 27th, 2014 - 12:03pmwhy is it like that, I thought they would use the same pictures except for where you got it.
mick
September 26th, 2014 - 3:29pmmine came today from the Glasgow store. love how they are just thrown in the blister packs with bent arms and legs!

TheOncomingStorm
September 25th, 2014 - 7:05pmif it had been Hamleys, surely it would have said “This is Hamley’s Manchester” or something like that
