Limited edition numbered Doctor Who collector’s posters up for grabs at Hamleys Stores across the UK
September 2014 will see a very special Doctor Who event take place at five Hamleys Toy Shops in locations around the UK, when a series of uniquely numbered exclusive posters will be available for fans to get their hands on.
The posters are the first and only collector’s posters ever created by the producers of the official Doctor Who figures, Character Options. On each poster the entire collection of 3 ¾ inch figures they have released to date are shown. Only 250 of the posters have been produced for the five Hamleys stores (London Regent Street, Glasgow, Cardiff, Dublin and Manchester) and each is uniquely numbered from 1-250 for authenticity.
The poster has been created to celebrate the launch of the latest series of Doctor Who figures, which have been produced to commemorate the new TV series and the brand new Twelfth Doctor played by Peter Capaldi. With fans always eager to get their hands on any unique Doctor Who memorabilia, they are bound to be popular.
To be eligible fans must purchase an item from Hamleys’ Doctor Who collection. The posters will be available as a free gift with that purchase but only while stocks last. There is no minimum spend, but as the gift is so unique it is restricted to one per customer.
Grant Yuill, Marketing Manager of Hamleys commented; “Our free limited edition Doctor Who poster day is a very exciting event for our shops. Doctor Who has so many fans that like to collect the figures and other memorabilia but now with the chance of owning one of these very exclusive posters we expect there to be a huge demand. What’s more we have an added bonus of 25 goodie bags for fans that come dressed in Doctor Who costume. These will be distributed free of charge on a first come first served basis.”
The posters were available from the following stores on the selected dates;
· London Regent Street – 20th September 2014 from 9:30am
· Manchester – 20th September 2014 from 9:30am

September 19th, 2014 - 8:29pmI’m pretty happy about this, even though It means the masses of this site probably won’t get one themselves until next week (I would hope so anyway). It means we’ll at least get to see some in hand images of the figure itself and maybe a couple reviews by tomorrow night.

matt9982
September 18th, 2014 - 8:16pmYeah, that’s what I thought but it couldn’t be another new figure already could it? And the gold Dalek was there so I think it must be.
The Twelfth Doctor
September 18th, 2014 - 6:16pmBooboo, if you were to make a choice out of either the 12th Doctor in costume or the poster, which one would you get? I really think I should leave early, buy 12 and forget about the poster…
The Twelfth Doctor
September 18th, 2014 - 7:49pmWhat do you think guys?
booboo
September 18th, 2014 - 7:50pmbut you get the poster if you buy something Doctor Who
The Twelfth Doctor
September 18th, 2014 - 8:07pmAt Glasgow they don’t start giving the posters way until 12, but by then all the twelfth doctors might be sold out.

alexanderop
September 18th, 2014 - 8:13pm12th Doctor definitely, I don’t particularly mind about getting a poster.
booboo
September 18th, 2014 - 8:15pmyou will always be able to buy the 12th Doctor some other time – but not the poster
the main shipment cant be far away
The Twelfth Doctor
September 18th, 2014 - 8:32pmThanks guys. So basically, I should go when they start giving away the posters and not get my hopes up, but hopefully I’ll be surprised at the sight of the twelfth doctor? Hehe 🙂
FEoD
September 19th, 2014 - 7:08pmSorry, I think the “giving away the posters starting at 12:00 in Glasgow” thing is my fault. Transport complications have prevented the Dalek being there any earlier and they obviously the regional manager wants to tie the two things in…
The Twelfth Doctor
September 20th, 2014 - 9:40amAh, don’t worry about it. Atleast it means I didn’t need to leave at half 8 this morning lol
AlexanderOP
September 18th, 2014 - 6:10pmI wonder if the “huge stock shipment” will ring true for how many figures Hamleys will have available for sale on the day. If theres a chance I could go I would like to think I would be able to get one if not the poster.

September 18th, 2014 - 6:04pmand if you live in Lincolnshire what you ment to do??
Mrdoctorwhomad
September 18th, 2014 - 8:17pmMake a ridiculously long journey? 😀
The same applies to me, I’m up at the tip-top of Scotland, and I’m not trekking to Glasgow 🙂

Might not be going :/ i live in edinburgh but im determined to get my family to drive me there haha
Trenzalore
September 18th, 2014 - 5:16pmThough this figure will soon be everywhere I personally don’t like the feeling of other people getting it early, personally I feel it a bit unfair especially with how few Hamley’s shops there are (1 and half hours to nearest one for me).
With a lot of merchandise lately it feels like you have to rush to get things as you don’t know how rare it will be, I mean it basically says that in the description.
Dalekparadigm2
September 18th, 2014 - 5:00pmOr Argos?
Danny
September 18th, 2014 - 4:58pmThat’s cool! But if hamley’s are having it why can’t FP?
matt9982
September 18th, 2014 - 6:01pmProbably so Hamleys can sell it over priced like most of their products as fans will want to get it first
