Tranquil Repose Figure Set With 6th Doctor
The Sixth Doctor and Peri arrive on the planet Necros where, in a facility called Tranquil Repose presided over by Mr Jobel and his assistant Tasambeker, the wealthy can have their newly-deceased bodies cryogenically frozen until such time as medical science can cure whatever killed them.
Our own picture of the actual figure – the cloak is easily removable…
The Doctor wishes to pay his last respects to his friend Professor Arthur Stengos, and also to assuage some nagging suspicions about the man’s death. His suspicions prove justified, as it turns out that this is just a ruse to lure him into a trap.
The Great Healer masterminding Tranquil Repose is Davros, who is using the organic material in the cryogenic storage units both as the raw material for the synthetic food that is Necros’s biggest export and also to create a whole new army of Daleks with which to take control of the universe.
Davros’s plans are foiled when Daleks loyal to the Dalek Supreme arrive on Necros and take him prisoner. The Doctor suggests to the planet’s inhabitants a new basis for their economy.
In this exclusive set is Davros, a Necros Dalek, a Skaro Dalek and the Sixth Doctor in his blue mourning cloak.

The Skaro Dalek is essentially the Resurrection of the Daleks model with a few slightly different paint apps. The Necros Dalek is different enough from the two previous releases to make it worth a buy. If you already own the series or Attack of the Cybermen Sixth Doctor figure, the new figure only has a cloak to offer. The Davros has a different microphone and extra hand.

- When you say the Dalek is “essentially” the same, youre making a false description there.
The Dalek in that set is infact much more authentic. It has a newly coloured tone of grey, and is far more ressembling to what those Daleks would have looked rather than the wierd Blueish-Grey Dalek from the Ressurection set.
However, you are rite in saying the Necros Dalek is justifiable. Having seen the set, I can confirm the Dalek is a diffrent White and Gold from previous figure-releases. Overall, I would recommend this set, over the first…

Well, revelation of the daleks came yesterday and i am AMAZED with it!! it is brilliant!! Bearing in mind i do not have the ressurection of thje daleks set. It is great, this one deffo!! + it arrived in two days!!!

This set has a better gray Dalek, and arguabley a better Davros variant, your choice mon frere. But remember, these sets dont hand themselves over to you on a steel platter.
You have to pay alotta money for em. Make sure YOU choose the set well. Follow your heart, know what Im sayin?

Normal silver dalek (white headlamps)
Attacked dalek (the one the exillons attacked)

Woaha ! Had you the set itself?! Ive seen soem (rare, rather hard to find ) pictures of the boxing, and Davros DOES indeed have a changeable hand. If he didnt though, this set would have never made it to my list! I also need this set for that iconic Dalek, the gold/cream look they had on Necros. Ive seen that story alot, taken a good look at those Daleks.
It was also in my interests, to have a spare copy of my most prized possession in the collection of Dr Who Figures, the Doctor himself, as played by Colin Baker. Two,

Oh come of it! We know that, theres nothing to guess, were already deligthed by the news thankyou. Say, you dont think the Pod in that set will be much different do you? Its jsut that, I intend to get that set ,at some point or another. It IS confirmed but has a long way ahead of itself before the release.
In the meantime, Im most looking forward to the Genesis of the Daleks set, all I need is to make me some cash, or save up some cash..Hmm, maybe al it takes is afew bucks a week, and alot of waiting without temtation.

I have the sixth doctor from the eleven doctors set and the one from the attack of the cybermen set. I think this figure is just the wave 1 and attack 6th doctor with a newly sculpted blue cape.

Well its about time! I personally think that Character Options should do (for the Colin Baker Doctors figure) a new headsculpt, with bigger hair and maybe a new expression or two (theres nohting wrong with doing two heads that you can change, just like with the Seventh Doctor). And the change of costume we saw in that series. New colour of tie, and waistcoat to go with it. Doctor 6 wore these funny chains on his waist-coat and in that story they were pink, but in part 1 they were green!

i dont know why but the davros from this and the resurrection set’s wires look like they did on REVELATION of the daleks ( except the colours ) but not on resurrection of the daleks. its probably becouse they didn’t use the mask 4 a long time.

I think my problem with Davros is that he stays with a solom expression, and not a screaming one that Character could have sculpted to improve the look of a figure which really is constrained to a shelf with little playability.

A valid point my dear fellow, the set deserves a miss because the Davros is unchanged, when really they probably should have taken the time to watch the episode and change the details. like the eye.The Necros Dalek is one bonus though, because I much prefer the eye-piece seen here. I loved how the Daleks (after the Series went from black and white to colour) had a sort-of pupil dot in the eye pieces. Looks much more creepy than the electronic eyes of the later series, which dont convey the same level of feeling in them,than these do

quite dissapointed becasue davros is not that different to resserectioun at all witch is fair because he wasnt that different in the story then we have colin with the cloak witch is alright but i would have preffered a glass dalek by far which would have been amazing or even a new varient on peri.Then the imperial dalek/ necros dalek witch is just a improved version of the previous release and a regenade dalek re release. probably giving this one a miss.

I notice another thing in that skaro dalek that differs it from the ressurection drone, the slats on the eye stalk seem more genesis based than Ressurection based, although it may be just a pre production model…

Oah My TimeLord, is this for real? I am SO let down that they just keep going and making Dlake sets, Im after the set from Ressurection of the Daleks and now, theyve gone and made this nonsense!
I was watching this story, recently (for the last time, it was actually just to finnish off my re-look over Season 22 before I see Colins last few conundrums, the Trial story, 1986 14-part serial.) and the cat-badge on the Doctor should have different, it was the Aristocats !
Aghhh! Could they not have just made one Dalek! The Necros one, for £14.

Hi i’m on youtube as danho97 a tip for figure adventures is pick a random monster and think about its personality and what it would do in certain scenarios. Then try to incorporate some other figures for example the cybermen in rome and incorporate the roman autons. (i have a story for this) Lastly enjoy it and good luck!

[ Continued ] cos otherwise i would not have been able to get the set cos the one in London which is the nearest to me takes like 2 and a half hours to get to them, and i would have probably wasted my time going to Forbidden Planet to get the 11 Doctors Set from them cos they’de probably be sold old if that was the case.
The cape thou on the 6th Doctor reminds me abit of Darth Vader . . . . kind off.

Sure is a nice set, but for goodness sakes, must it be yet another Forbidden Planet exclusive ? I dont see why all the really interesting merchandise like this for example has to be exclusive to them, and they know obviously that many of us are getting quite angry with them cos we cant buy them anywhere else like say Toy’s R Us, Smyths, the Entertainer etc. Im so glad the 11 Doctors Set isint one of their exclusives.

The large retailers you mentioned weren’t interested in any more classics, thats why Character stopped making them themselves, if it weren’t for underground toys and forbidden planets commitment to them there would be no classics, its either this way or not at all.

ill pass on this set the sontaran set looks better with all new sculps the davros is nice but ide prefer him in the life suport machine but the necros dalek looks good

Davros is cool but I might treat myself to both because I haven’t got any Davros’. Plus I will probably have New variants of the Doctor’s and extremely cool Dalek’s but the resurrection of the dakeks has a pop out thingy on davros. Well I will find out in the flesh. I like the classic Dakeks better.

This set looks good but there isnt really anything new. Davros is hand has been shot off with now green blood on it. The doctor just has a cloak on. the two daleks are basically re-painted from other daleks. I would have preffered a glass dalek in it. But still will happilly add them to my collection.

Having just received the sad news of Nicholas Courtenay’s passing away
, I feel that a future action figure set should feature the one and only Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart as both a tribute to the man and simply because he was such a cool character. An ideal U.N.I.T. pack would be the Brig, Sgt. Benton, Jo Grant and the Third Doctor, though a single pack-figure would do just as nicely.

, I wish that the 6th Doctor had a broken fob watch accessory like in the first part of the story from A: when he was hypnotising the mutant as a distraction and B: when he and Peri were climbing over the wall of Tranquil Repose, that is Next on mah list! I think they should have a Mara Gift set, featuring Tegen in her best outfit design from “Frontios/Ressurection of the Daleks” complete with swappable Tegan head with possesed red eyes!

Well, now I’m just waiting for Genesis set (Which has been spotted at the London Olympia Dr.Who Experience!) and probs a Destiny would be good and never forgetting a Master Plan set, that would be a treat, I can’t wait for this in the post and the ever increasing countdown to my Sontaran Experiment set! *tingles all over*

OMG That is such a brilliant set! Another Davros variant, they could have just stuck with the resurrection one, at least they changed the hand and our first revelation dalek, looks good.

I want both Ressurection and this however I don’t know which one to get. I was going to get both but closer inspection sees that Davros is the same with a few slight tweeks. I already have two 6 Doctor’s but the cape is cool and so are the Dalkes so what to get guys? HELP!

I’ll pass this set, i’ve already got resurrection and im holding out for a genesis set or rememberance davros set. This set is good and bad, each figure tweaked, the skaro dalek has a new eye stalk, the rings are closer togehter, the white dalek has new base, sucker arm, eye stalk and i think ears. Davros has a new bleeding hand, the mic on his head is on the other side, but i think that is just the picture, and now colin with a fantastic cloak, think its removable. Good set but tbh, dont think its worth £35, would get resurrection instead…

This is good, but i have already started saving up for resurrection of the daleks figure set (which, in personal opion, looks better.) and this is a good set because instead of just having a normal davros, you get a one with swappable arm!! Never seen these episodes so personly, not intersested.

This is a truly dreadfull set. all re-releases with very minor differences. davros has a green hand, Colin has a cloak. big woop. i might just get the white dalek seperate off eaby. this is the first set that i have been dissapointed with.
