LEGO® Ideas 21304 Doctor Who Set by Andrew Clark RRP £49.99 Due December 1st

Construct a stunningly detailed LEGO® version of the iconic TARDIS® and role-play the Doctor’s time-travel adventures!

Doctor-Who-lego-2

Created by fan-designer Andrew Clark and selected by LEGO Ideas members, this set is based on the BBC’s popular and long-running television series about a Time Lord – the Doctor – exploring the universe in a blue police box.

Due to trans-dimensional engineering, the TARDIS is bigger on the inside than the outside and this cool multifunctional set includes the console room that houses all the flight controls.

Doctor-Who-lego-1

Regenerate the Doctor and defeat the evil Daleks™ and a Weeping Angel with the help of his extraordinary companion Clara. Then close the doors of the TARDIS and launch into another dimension!
lego-5

Includes 4 minifigures with assorted accessory elements: the Eleventh Doctor, the Twelfth Doctor, Clara Oswald and a Weeping Angel, plus 2 Daleks™.

lego-7

Lego Dimensions…

Build the minifigure heroes and fire-up the game to start the experience, then follow the in-game build instructions to assemble the loose bricks into the LEGO Gateway, and place the structure on the LEGO Toy Pad.

I think they will, there are so many key characters in doctor who which they’ll know fans will want to see, and The Simpsons blind bags sold well! Infact so well that they made another wave of blind bags and you could argue that doctor who has more iconic characters than the Simpsons. Whether or not they do make them, it’d be silly if they didn’t!

Do the Lego Dimensions packs come with the game mode or just the minifigure and the minibuilds?

The Level Pack has a ‘Doctor Who’ level on as well as the figures, but the Fun Pack of the Dalek and Cyberman is just the figures to play in the game.

I like the set but not sure if I will get it yet as perfer to see it in reality at the lego store first…

I imagine they have left out the Capaldi costume so people buy the lego dimensions dr who level set.

LEGO are stupid like that, they want to get you to buy all their products, which in reality is what any shop would do.

      October 6th, 2015 - 3:40pm

They’re probably going to do a Minifigure Series of all 13 Doctors, which will more than likely include Capaldi in his normal outfit.

I think that they price the sets on the number of minifigure. Since there are five that adds up. Also, it has quite a lot of pieces so that also adds up. Finally, LEGO had to pay Doctor Who in order for them to make a set which they are trying to get back.
Using these factors, you can see that the price is actually decent.

    • cyberdoctor42

      October 6th, 2015 - 6:01pm

Also Lego ideas sets are often slightly more pricey than most sets because they aren’t sold in supermarkets or anything like that

    Booboo,
Is this the only doctor who Lego set that is set for release?
If so, then I am annoyed that the Twelfth Doctor doesn’t come in his regular outfit. Also, why is Smith in his tweed? If Capaldi is wearing the purple frock then surely Smith should be wearing his with he bow tie also…
Finally, is the Lego dimensions 12th doctor removable from his base so he can be used as a regular minifigure to go with this set.
    I really like set anyways.

this set is loosely “based” on Time of the Doctor, its also very close to the lego idea set which is what this is all about

dont know about the other things i doubt it will be the last we see, the most know an 12/13 Doctor set would sell loads

I am clearly missing why everyone is excited. The TARDIS looks quite cool but the mini figs are terrible…I mean just look at those Daleks!?! Character Building figs are far far better.

And why is Lego SO expensive.

Not for me, but pleased for all the Lego fans.

      October 6th, 2015 - 6:25pm

I expected it to be bigger but it’s still beautiful.
Only let down is the Daleks, I’m glad I got the CB ones while they were available.
I’m thinking I might get a spare 12th doctor figure so I can give it a bow tie and make a custom 11th doctor in his purple costume

This looks really cool! The only problem with it is that it’s quite dated now as Matt Smith regenerated some time ago now and the fact that he has his tweed jacket to go with Clara, just isn’t right. But anyway, it looks cool and I might try to pick one up, but knowing Lego it will extraordinary high!

Well that is an absolutely brilliant set. The TARDIS exterior being able to be easily switched to the interior like that is genius! All of the LEGO characters included are great too, though bit surprised a Cyberman isn’t included as well. Looking forward to more LEGO in the future. As for this, this will be an excellent Christmas present for my little brothers.

The idea with opening the exterior to attached and become part of the interior is a genius idea and reflects the multi use of Lego perfectly!
