The Seventh Doctor first met Ace in the Iceworld trading colony on the planet Svartos. Ace was from Perivale on Earth in the 1980s, but had been deposited on Iceworld in a freak time storm. She hated her real name ‘Dorothy’, and instead rebelliously went by ‘Ace’. She had a dangerous aptitude for high explosives and never shied away from danger.
A teen tearaway Ace matured considerably during her travels with the Doctor, encountering on the way many wondrous planets and places and a true menagerie of enemies from eight foot tall blue Demons, malevolent Victorian houses, the relentless Cybermen, inter-dimensional Arthurian knights, a psychopathic robot called the Kandyman and even the Master while helping the Cheetah People. But it was against the Daleks on Earth in 1963 that she showed the most pluck by dispatching several of them with her trademark Nitro-9 explosives, an RPG and even a baseball bat enhanced by Time Lord technology…Wicked!

Interesting though that we, or at least I, haven’t seen any pictures of this figure in its ‘jacket off’ form that the description describes, so it will be interesting to see what that looks like.

July 18th, 2013 - 11:24amLoving the look of Ace! The figure is a definite bargain if you can get it direct from the con as it’s $20 there, which works out at just £13. I have a friend who is very kindly getting me the figure and she’ll bring it back with her.

Ace (New survival varient) with changeable head with gold eyes,
Cheetah Person,
7th Doctor (No Hat) with skull and umbrella,
The Master with gold eyes
All they need to do to make the Ace is remove the skirt, change the hair, roll up the sleeves on the jacket and change the top and shirt varient arms to red.

July 17th, 2013 - 3:05amI agree, the rocket launcher was only used in a couple scenes of Remembrance and isn’t iconic. The of her and it above makes her look too military. The boombox was used in a few stories, is iconic, and shows her more as the 16-year-old she actually is underneath all that Ace-ness.

When Underground toys used twitter and Facebook (and this site did it as well you may remember this site crashed at the big reveal!) to tease the three doctor set bit by bit it build up a huge amount of good will and everyone loved it. (i assume they realised just how much).
