Remembrance of The Daleks Ace Figure

Underground Toys SDCC Ace Figure 2013 Exclusive

Due end of August

Available to pre order now from www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk

UK Price is £15.99

ace-50

The Seventh Doctor first met Ace in the Iceworld trading colony on the planet Svartos. Ace was from Perivale on Earth in the 1980s, but had been deposited on Iceworld in a freak time storm. She hated her real name ‘Dorothy’, and instead rebelliously went by ‘Ace’. She had a dangerous aptitude for high explosives and never shied away from danger.

ace-new

A teen tearaway Ace matured considerably during her travels with the Doctor, encountering on the way many wondrous planets and places and a true menagerie of enemies from eight foot tall blue Demons, malevolent Victorian houses, the relentless Cybermen, inter-dimensional Arthurian knights, a psychopathic robot called the Kandyman and even the Master while helping the Cheetah People. But it was against the Daleks on Earth in 1963 that she showed the most pluck by dispatching several of them with her trademark Nitro-9 explosives, an RPG and even a baseball bat enhanced by Time Lord technology…Wicked!

Set Includes..

  • Three Nitro 9 cans
  • Rocket launcher with missile
  • Ruck Sack
  • Baseball Bat
  • Removable Jacket with 2 alternative arms to produce t Shirt variant

Remembrance of the daleks part2, she blew an imperial dalek up with one, it seems logical for her to have it since this particular figure is based off her apperance in Remembrance.

    Krayfis
    Pterydactyl

giant wasp and giant ant form planet of giants

    • AridianMireBeast

      July 2nd, 2013 - 9:38pm

The tetrap mask is excellent… I particularly like the scene where one jabs Mel with its poisonous tongue… I’d be happy with a Rani/Tetrap set you could even throw one of the Lakertyans and that giant brain into the bargain….too much hardwork for CO when some fans are clamouring for peri in every outfit… cO must love them and be laughing every step of the way to the bank…..

    • josh smith

      July 3rd, 2013 - 7:38am

mel from that story is good cause just paint it blue then you have mel form paradise towers also then they relesise a mel form terror of the vervoids or the ultimate foe then its just how they relesed peri.

Why are people so obsessed with companions ??? A whole mass of classic monsters untouched and we get a poorer companion which (outfit aside) looks nothing like, just the same as Jo Looked nothing like and leela looked nothing like.

Years and years of excellent monsters and robots and yet people keep crying out for these DOLLS !!!!

Gimme Krotons, Chumblies Voord, Monoids, Menoptra , Zarbi, War Machines, the Macra , Krotons, Quarks,Dominators, White Robots Draconians, Solanian Mutts, the Wirrn in all its stages, Kraals etc etc etc…

They cant even complete the set of Daleks or cybermen and as for the yeti which they apparently held back on some childish grudge…so annoying when the prototype yeti with the web gun is one of their best figures and a sure fire ‘army builder’ like the Mechonoids were….

I can understand what kind of guys keep crying out for a zoe or a romana…must be the so called ‘new males’ I suppose…

    • josh smith

      July 2nd, 2013 - 4:28pm

what is point of having monsters without nice looking female companions to go with them. id much rather have romana than a yeti any day.

leela looked very much like her and so does jo (the claws of axos one)

      this looks spot on too.

    • josh smith

      July 2nd, 2013 - 4:34pm

One persons rubbish is another ones treasure. #

more people want companions atm amd we have way to many monsters anyway

    • trenzalore

      July 2nd, 2013 - 4:37pm

Yes I prefer companions but this is my opinion and that is yours. I agree with some of your points. Maybe they could do companion and monster sets?

    • josh smith

      July 2nd, 2013 - 4:39pm

they are doing companion monster sets?

2 of the companions have been single released all other have been mixed.

    • trenzalore

      war machine
      the cleetial toymaker robot

dodo is the best companion for the 1st doctor

    • AridianMireBeast

      July 2nd, 2013 - 5:22pm

The company have been playing fans for ‘mugs’ Leela released in two sets…. Peri released in two sets… the Brigadier…Jo and if its not the companions its the Doctors…the sets aren’t even varied or imaginative enough to make them interesting… Hartnell for example would look superb in his white ADJ outfit accompanied by a Zarbi and a Menoptra and a Venom grub and you could vary the Menoptra by having a winged, unwinged and even the younger hylnia version..

Thats the sort of set I’m after but CO dont have a clue who they’re cateringfor

    • AridianMireBeast

      July 2nd, 2013 - 5:28pm

Instead of releasing Leela with Stor and the Fendahleen how much more interesting to have included a Vardan warrior and the transformed Thea Ransome in those relevant sets…or gone completely mad and boxed Stor and the Fendahl up with the Nucleus, a Rutan, the Collector and a Minyan Seer Robot and released a full season of monsters…. Then release the companions packaged singly for those who just want the monsters….

    • trenzalore

      July 2nd, 2013 - 5:28pm

I think it might be something to do with money or the fact that suppliers don’t want them anymore. That’s why they changed the scale to 3.75″

    • AridianMireBeast

      July 2nd, 2013 - 5:42pm

The classics are still being made on the same scale….and no doubt at the same price ? Who for ? serious collectors who want to display the stuff like myself r kids who can afford expensive ‘toys’

If you look at Art Ayslum’s trek figures they’re spot on and they don’t cost a fortune – meanwhile if you look at the figures of Jo, Leela and even some of the doctors you really wouldnt be able to tell who they are….

    • josh smith

      July 2nd, 2013 - 6:47pm

no! the leela and fendhal set is amazing. its only £24 its really cheep.

      leela and storr are amazing.

peri and leela were realised 3 times and they should have released peri in aLL HER COSTUMES

    • AridianMireBeast

      July 2nd, 2013 - 6:08pm

lol thats small fry when you consider they’ve released a time monster set without a time monster, a daemons set which wont have a daemon, the Masters TARDIS with a recycled davison figure but no Master and a sontaran experiment set which recysled three figures but didnt include any new stuff when an armed galsec crewmember and styre’s superb robot which is so begging to be released as an item should have been included in that set….

    • josh smith

      July 2nd, 2013 - 6:51pm

the sontaron experiment set is amazing so is the castrovlava set the daemons set doese have bok and u do konw the daemon is 50 feet high

    • AridianMireBeast

      July 2nd, 2013 - 9:31pm

The daemons can change their size……….. watch the story again……..Bok isnt a daemon he’s an animated stone gargoyle. The other two figures have been released before the change is merely a swap of a few items of clothing.
Its better than the Axos set but it could be a lot better. They could have made Azal the same height as the Omega or Sutekh figures or even Kettlewell’s robot. Personally I think all the good Pertwee stuff is being bypassed. Considering the variety of aliens in Doctor Who its not been very well represented yet….

    • josh smith

      July 3rd, 2013 - 8:43pm

the auton figure was fantastic so was omega.
i like the sea devil and the roger delgado master was good.

but i didnt like the axon or the drashig. or the gell gaurd

this is my 10 most wanted 3rd doctor aliens:

      Hi Doctor 909

I’m afraid 7th Doctor sets and figures are rather scarce at the moment. At one stage we had the Seventh Doctor figure from Remembrance of the Daleks, then the Remembrance of the Daleks collector set, there was also a seventh Doctor from ‘Survival’ with an electronic TARDIS. Unfortunately a lot of these have vanished off shelves and websites. You can still claim a hat-less variant of the Seventh Doctor in the 11 Doctors set but apart from Ace that’s all that’s available at the moment.

Never say never, but we’ve never had any of the previous SDCC figures come out in Australia. Unless our distributer manages to get some stock, it’s not likely.

I’ve bought previous releases from eBay or Who North America.

If this exact one doesnit, you can be sure her variants will. Especially if they are in sets.

I doubt it because it is the only Ace figure and everyone wants one. It will probably be an FP exclusive and about £12.99 if it is a solo figure, if it is in a set about £19.99

It will be a lot more than that

      About £15 – £25 for solo

Not really £25. Leela was £16.99 The 5th Doctor was £15. And the prices on the classics seem to have gone down. So I expect this to be around the £15 mark.

Ah, good old Character… Re-using the Eleventh Doctor’s boots.

However, it must be said, the detailing on the figure itself is superb.

By the looks of it the boots are a new sculpt, but I may be wrong, they could be from something else.

Well it about time. Brillant figure, she would definitely be better with an Imperial Dalek. I was just going to condemn CO and UGT for not making many good figures for the 50th anniversary. But Ace is definately one of the best choices for a figure.
