Highly detailed and realistic action figure collection that celebrates 50 years of Doctor Who. Each pack includes a fully poseable 5-inch Doctor and a free-wheeling Dalek from the same era that features moveable eye stalk and gun arm.

The Ninth Doctor with Dalek (Parting of the Ways): The Ninth Doctor was plain spoken and didn’t suffer fools gladly. In spite of this, he still had an irrepressible curiosity and unmistakeable alien outlook, which allowed him to charm and beguile friends and foes alike.

toyr-r-us-9th

After a fantastic series of adventures, this Doctor was saved by Rose Tyler – she channelled the Time Vortex through herself, unleashing it’s power in order to destroy the new Dalek fleet. In return the Doctor saved his companion by absorbing the Time Vortex from her, causing him to regenerate…

The Imperial Dalek
is a darker bronze in keeping with the episode…

Generally a classics fan, but the Ecclestone year introduced me to Who and I must say I feel an enormous attachment to this set. Lovely design for the Guard too. =]

@Doctor of the Tardis 1974, from re-vival the 3 new series doctors will remain to me as 9, 10 and 11. John Hurt will always and forever be Doctor 8.5 to me… 🙂

Ninth doctor figures for me always look a bit thrown together, the clothes always look too big and the gap between the body and the head is always really prominent.

I like his doctor, I am talking about the figure. And yes I agree it would be good if he was in the 50th

      September 3rd, 2013 - 11:21pm

It’s up to him if he doesn’t want to take up the role again however upsetting it is. I’m just glad he wrote a letter to be read out at the BFI; he made (in a very small way) a contribution to the 50th celebrations. For me, as my Doctor, that was enough and it made this year special.

Why was the no Regeneration to the 8th doctor there a big gap in the Series I don’t under stand

    • Hellbelly

      September 4th, 2013 - 7:08pm

Originally the regeneration was going to be at the end of “The Flood” story in Doctor Who Magazine but the BBC didn’t want the 9th Doctor revealed before the first TV episode so it didn’t happen.

Toys R Us in York once again way off the ball, no sign of the new twin packs yet. The only 3.75s were Ice Warrior and Angel, and then the same old 5″ cybermats and smilers.

And the B&M store doesn’t even exist! Top notch.

You know what guys, even thou it’s probably too late, cos the Emperor Dalek in the new series was shown all the back at the end of series 1, I think it’s probably a good idea that we had a petition to get Character Options to finally produce an Emperor Dalek figure.

It could be roughly the same size as the old 9th / 10th Doctor Tardis console room playset, and would go great with the Imperial Dalek figure IF Character Options produced a 4 pack of Imperial Daleks, each with a different arm or weapon where the usual sink plunger goes.

I would have liked an Emperor Dalek also. It would have looked great. I guess we are looking at economics here v nice to have. There are some sites showing people who have made their own out of CO Dalek parts and scratch built parts.

    • George

      September 2nd, 2013 - 9:35pm

We can fantasise all we like, but the idea that CO would release a 5″ scale playset based on an episode from 2005 the size of the 10th Doctor Tardis console room playset is… well, not a snowball’s chance in hell.
