October 27th, 2013 - 3:08pmWent to my local TRU again this time I went in to ask when they will be getting them in stock and they said that there is a delivery coming in on Tuesday which might have them so fingers crossed!

October 27th, 2013 - 7:48pmAt least with Ace you had the option to pre-order. Ok she took a while to come out but with the pre-order you were guaranteed to get her eventually (which I finally did last week, brilliant figure). With this last Dalek wave you’ve either got to live near a TRU store (which I don’t) or be lucky enough to be on-line when they come in stock.
Anyone know why they’re not giving us the option to pre-order the final wave or restricting the amount you can buy?

October 27th, 2013 - 7:59pmIt’s great to hear they will be getting more. I had given up on the 5″ line, but these caught my interest. I’d love to get them all, but I’ll have to make do with Nine, Ten (both of which I own), Eleven and Eight.

Get down to Deepdale, Preston people. I managed to reserve all 5 twin packs (was not taking any chances). They had them all in stock but not out on shelves for some reason.
They where very helpful when I first telephoned them for availability, and they put them aside for me to collect.
This was late last night just before they closed, so they might be out on the shelves by now.

October 25th, 2013 - 7:20pmI simply can’t believe how rare these are – I have tried 11 different TRU stores now in my search for an Eighth Doctor and Dalek Alpha, and several have said they’ve had people coming in all day asking for them! I found one solitary Third Doctor figure – after driving several hundred miles – and only a few First Doctors. I’ve never known anything like this, it’s absolutely rubbish. Or maybe I’m just unlucky.

October 25th, 2013 - 7:50pmWhich they knew it would be as ever since these sets were announced pretty much everyone who wanted one said they’d go for the 1st and 8th sets. What makes matters worse is that for this wave they’ve not put the 2 items only limit on the on-line orders so all the scalpers are buying them up to sell on E-Bay. Anyone fancy paying £50 + p&p for a 1st Doctor set, no I didn’t think so. It’s ridiculous.

None of them came up for pre-order like the others, they just suddenly appeared in-stock and because of the lack of limited orders they sell out before the majority of us can get a look in. I suppose as long as they sell that’s all TRU care about.
I’m glad I managed to get my order for the 11th set in when I did as even that’s sold out now. I’d like the 1st, 3rd and 8th sets as well but I’m certainly not going to pay the silly prices on E-Bay for them.

– No delivery option (free or otherwise)
– No click and collect option
– Precious little help when phoning my nearest (miles away) TRU (Couldn’t even tell me if they were going to be included in the next stock delivery after 10 minutes hanging on the phone).
Just read that BBP are cancelling most of their solicited 8 inch figures as well, including the Capaldi pre order. Thanks, BBC, Character, BBP and TRU. You’re really rewarding fans and collectors’ loyalty in this golden anniversary year.:/

Toys r us in medway had all 5 of the new ones in on saturday, I only bought 4 of them and left the 11th doctor set thinking i could get it later, bet its gone now 🙁 the man i spoke to did say he had a few of each come in and they wern’t out on the shelves yet.

I went to the Southampton one which had restocked on wave one and two to the point that there was no space for wave 3. The ones I got were on their side with the base pointing towards the customer. They were a squeeze to get out too. I barely noticed them. Something seriously wrong there.
I asked a TRU employee to clarify how many they got in “Just three sets.” “What one of each of three different sets?” “Yes”.

October 19th, 2013 - 6:20pmSouthampton is a “Super-store” and only had x3 new sets in total in their delivery. Portsmouth is a standard store and had about 20 sets this morning, at least 2 of 8th and 11th (I obviously got one of each) and between 2-4 of 1,3 and 4. Bearing in mind some had probably sold too by 10.30am Sat morning.
