The Tenth Doctor

The Tenth Doctor had a bright, sparky personality yet he rarely gave second chances to his foes. Leaping back into the TARDIS with a series at extraordinary companions, he seemed the most vivacious Doctor so far.

10th-doctor-dalek-5802

Following repeated battles with old foes and after a cataclysmic encounter with his own people, in the end this Doctor gave his own life to save that of Wilfred Mott, absorbing radiation that would have proven fatal to his old friend.

toys-r-us-10th-set-boxback5

He was able to stave off the regeneration process long enough to bid farewell to his past companions and reach the safety of the TARDIS, where the Doctor began to regenerate, alone…

The Daleks

Genetic mutations housed in armoured travel machines, the Daleks are the distillation of all that is evil in the Universe. There is a suitable background included within the packaging.

BooBoo please tell us these will be in stores soon because we’re tired of waiting.

    • booboo

      March 14th, 2013 - 1:09pm

this is the very reason why Character dont announce stuff until a definite delivery time is confirmed because all people do is moan, someone has given you a “sneak peak” of exclusive items due sometime this year, that’s all – and you probably wont get any more sneak peaks either.

Delays or change of plans can happen for all sorts of reasons. They arrive when they arrive

    • Clayderman

      March 14th, 2013 - 10:58pm

It seems correct, but does happen. The companies put out pictures WAY before the release date, then all of us fandoms are just hyping waiting to sweep these babies right off the shelf! LOL. 🙂 I do think that reactions are getting a little out of hand though. :/

people just need to chill, they will be out when they are out, and just be patient, the longer you wait the more you will appreciate them when they do come out!

I wouldn’t say i’m desperate, just excited. This figure may be the last 10th doctor figure that’s 5″. I would actually say i have mixed feelings, more than desperate. I don’t really get to go to Toys R Us anyway. But probably on this ONE occasion.

    March 9th, 2013 - 8:23am

May? So why did they not say they were going to be out in May? It’s like these companies through a date into the air – They work towards that date – Then change it completely?

I’ve purchased a pile of Retro figures over a year ago & haven’t seen sight nor sound of any of those seven? But strangely enough they are already advertising another two figures for sell in October?

GIVE OUT A RELEASE DATE & STICK TO IT!!!

This is the problem when companies try give advanced information, Bif bang Pow had factory problems as did big chief and it can delay things for months

These sets may be waiting for a production slot or the next available boat from China, could be anything, normally you wouldn’t know about them its only because Character tried to give some advanced info out, and i probably wont happen again now.

This is why they never normally announce stuff until its signed sealed and on the way over so now one get disappointed.

      March 10th, 2013 - 1:12pm

they would cost at least double the price you cant have a minimum wage, high manufacturing costs and cheap figures

    • drjakeyoung

      March 17th, 2013 - 1:42pm

in order for us to produce things cheap and fix this country’s economy, we would need to crash the housing market, but because the rich people would loose money, they are very Steuben and wont let it go down so that inflation will go up. (This is why everything in this country is so expensive as well)

    • booboo

      March 17th, 2013 - 1:45pm

not just the rich people, anyone who who has a mortgage

not just that its the minimum wage and the standard of living everyone expects now

    • drjakeyoung

      March 17th, 2013 - 3:10pm

also, it’s not the government that puts the prices up (although they don’t help) it’s the traders on the trading market mainly (if anybody doesn’t know what i mean, just Google it, you will find out then).

I still find that shocking and hard to believe, that even Toys R us have so few Doctor Who items.

My local shopping centre has NO Doctor Who items atall, not even the DVDs or magazines (including smyths, tesco, marks and spencers (well they never had any in the first place, did they?) and argos).

      This is terrible 🙁

    • Gareth T

      February 15th, 2013 - 5:46pm

In some respects we are being deliberately starved of Doctor Who Merchandise, the lack of merchandise in general outlets will make the relaunch a big event, which is good in many respects. The range needs a boost.

    • The Monitor

      February 22nd, 2013 - 3:26pm

I think there is a danger that too much time has passed. DW merchandise is more and more online related now. Probably 2-3% of the outlets there used to be.

It is mind-blowing that a flagship BBC programme is so poorly merchandised from a high-street availability perspective. It all went down hill when we did not get a regular season, but some specials instead. It was a backfire also for the reasons it was done…

    • booboo

      February 22nd, 2013 - 3:30pm

there is masses of merchandise due this year but a lot of it is getting quite poor exposure, Bif bang Pow (glasses and the like) and Zeon items to name but two, I’m sure a lot of this stuff would sell to the casual buyer but its not getting a high street presence
