January 22nd, 2015 - 12:22ami can’t wait to get all them well Done your Doctor who toys are the best they all look really Awesome
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 11:25pmapparently Clara was a 1st pass painted sculpt just for the toy fair so would explain why she looks a bit off to some (although she looked much better there than in the pics)
Sam Richard Bentley
January 21st, 2015 - 11:29pmI think from your images she looks fab – I just think it’s the Tennant-like cocked eyebrow that is making it look a bit odd. xD
rycbar123
January 21st, 2015 - 11:00pmAnyone else notice that the displasy bases are now gone ?
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 11:03pmyes, you may be able to buy packs from Character for those who want them
The Master
January 21st, 2015 - 10:44pmcan they just stop with the sonic screwdriver re-releases, every sonic in each wave is exactly the same its getting annoying
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 10:47pmshops do run out of these you know and they move on to the next wave with some running changes if appropriate – they market what sells
they also cater for worldwide demand not just UK which people seem to forget
The TARDIS 12600
January 22nd, 2015 - 1:39amYeah I live in the US and was impossible to get other sonics but when character made this line I was really happy cause I was able to get the past sonics from classic who :D.
Sam Richard Bentley
January 21st, 2015 - 10:43pmThe Matt Smith Time Squad figure seems to be the only finalized looking new one of the illustration of all 10 figures. Capaldi and Coleman have drawn on faces, Matt doesn’t…
Do you think that the Capaldi and Coleman figures are early prototypes, and the image of Smith could be a Time Squad design from way back before the original run got cancelled? It looks to me like that was a Series 5 design where they have digitally enhanced the caot to be purple rather than brown.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 10:44pmcould be, there was some series 5 stuff planned
Sam Richard Bentley
January 21st, 2015 - 10:48pmThe general design of it just looks so 2010 to me – like the inaccurate fringe that covers his forehead (well… inaccurate most the time. It was like that sometimes during Series 5… but that’s the same that happened with the original 11th Doctor figure!)
I assume there wasn’t a physical version on show… so it could be a digitally enhanced version of an originally Series 5 11th Doctor?
Maybe they should take a leaf out of Titan’s book and release a wave of all the Doctor’s, then release some monsters – rather than re-releasing these seriously out-of-date Series 4 villains.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 10:54pmIs anything Doctor Who out of date? would you say the same if there was a sea devil or draconian in the mix?
you have to remember there are new buyers and new markets that were not around 3 years ago, what’s old to us is new to them
also i doubt they would invest in 10 new figures straight off
Sam Richard Bentley
January 21st, 2015 - 10:57pmTrue, true – I retract my statement.
Though, would be nice to see some aliens from newer series, rather than Tennant’s (as Tennant isn’t included in the line-up) of course, this probably isn’t the final line-up and they’re probably sitting in fro some figures that haven’t been finalized yet, but still.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 10:58pmcould well be, if they get orders (which is what the show is all about)
Sam Richard Bentley
January 21st, 2015 - 11:03pmIt’s interesting that they decided to bring the Squad back. I wonder what made them think of updating it. Maybe they considered it every year but nothing ever happened. Because it seems very… Out if the blue to me.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 11:04pmProbably to fill a pocket money gap now CB has gone but yes i was surprised as well, i always liked them
Sam Richard Bentley
January 21st, 2015 - 11:11pmI never collected them. I saw them around a lot but never ever picked them up. I’m not really a massive fan of the look of them (not 100% sure what it is I don’t like, mind…) but I do like it when they bring back old products that haven’t been seen in a while.
Tell you want I’m still hoping someone will produce – you know how there is a massive market at the moment for retro-styled 3.75 figures? They have recently done a load for Back to the Future, Alien, Firefly – I would love to see that for Doctor Who. Brand new version of the Dapol style figures. You could have it for the Doctors that were released in the old style, and the modern ones that weren’t too. I think that, as there is a clear market for these 80s-style figures, that Doctor Who ones would sell like hot-cakes.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 11:16pmI think most of the demand would be in the USA which is a very different market to here.
Some Doctor Who brands are far far bigger sellers in the states than here, usually the more quirky or retro items.
I dont know who you would get to go down that route
Sam Richard Bentley
January 21st, 2015 - 11:25pmI just think it would be nice, especially as the market is out there. It would be a risk, that’s true, but could turn out to be a worthy one.
Then again, they tried retro figures with Biff Bang Pow and, well… look how they ended.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 11:27pmnot entirely sure what happened there, they has lots more planned and did a tonne of other Doctor Who stuff – all seemed rather abrupt to me
Ian
January 22nd, 2015 - 2:29amI’m glad these are making a return. For some reason I never got into them. I only have two figures vasta narada and 10th Dr.
Adam Smith

booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 10:22pmnot even going to bother showing that link because the people who start these things have no idea what they are talking about and neither do any of the people who vote in them
Anonymous
January 21st, 2015 - 9:56pmlooking cool there, and a surprise return (in a new variant no doubt) of the famous “red top” dalek of fame which creator Terry Nation owned. That looks like a must have for the hardcore whovians.
CB Doctor
January 21st, 2015 - 9:29pmI thought that I would never collect the 3.75″ figures, but they just keep getting better and better…

January 22nd, 2015 - 2:37amAl Dewar confirmed a new Tardis for the 5″ range with a return to the light up windows and phone door. If this comes out I want two of them.
Exterminator
January 22nd, 2015 - 11:09amI think he was talking about the Tardis messaging thing as it’s also a night light. It just happens to be the same size as the 5″ figure version.

January 21st, 2015 - 4:44pmAm I the only one who is sad that there still isn’t a 3.75 tardisplayset 🙁
Alice
January 21st, 2015 - 5:18pmNo, I am sad about that one too. And don’t even get me started on Character Building TARDIS. And minfigures too.

January 21st, 2015 - 5:54pmTo quote the Face of Boe “You Are Not Alone”
ahunter8056
January 21st, 2015 - 10:15pmI would only be interested in a 3.75″ TARDIS playset if they made it properly instead of making it out of cardboard.
the astronaut of death
January 21st, 2015 - 3:52pmi have a feeling that cyberman attack thing wont get relesed
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 4:01pmi think it will be Ok
Trenzalore
January 21st, 2015 - 5:06pmI think its one of my favourite things at this toy fair, definitely the most innovative. So I hope it gets released

MrHalloWho
January 21st, 2015 - 4:31pmHow many 9th/10th Doctor Sonics have Character made?
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 4:32pmprobably several hundred thousand by now
Balakin
January 21st, 2015 - 11:26amI’m happy that they releasing a new Clara because the previous versions are oop but the face sculpt looks very weird. Did it look better in person?
Also, the omission of the stands is strange after 3 Waves. I don’t think they could stand on their own on the playsets (because they are freakin cardboard and it gets wavy a bit) but I hope I’m wrong.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 11:32amyes much the angle is not good
Balakin
January 21st, 2015 - 11:51amcool, thanks!
matt9982
January 21st, 2015 - 4:41pmApparently (according to you know who) Character will be selling Stands separately online.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 4:48pmwe know we have said that its is something they will look at
Babyface
January 21st, 2015 - 10:46amGood figures too start the year off! All my figures have stood without a stand so the fact they are taking them away and adding more acessories is pretty damn fab! Clara in yellow sweater now please!
TheReal McCoy
January 21st, 2015 - 6:58amOMG! The Time Squad figures are back!!!! Look at little Capaldi!! haha
The TARDIS 12600

Anonymous
January 21st, 2015 - 12:36aminteresting to see that the ‘stealth’ version hasnt disapperaed but now comes with a redone dalek paint scheme for the pilot. hopefully this version will appaer this year?
Anonymous
January 21st, 2015 - 3:59amWhich according to Al himself was stolen at the toy fair!
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 9:53ami think you will see this
Jake Robertson
January 21st, 2015 - 12:21amAm really annoyed because they have decided that their not gonna release a stand with the 3.75 scale they don’t stand without them! They are saying you will have pay for stands yourself so basically were still paying the same price+stand now if this is true I refuse to buy the figures no point having them if they won’t stay up their just trying get more money from people and I ain’t buying it! BooBoo please respond
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 8:09amHave you not noticed you are getting really great accessories with some of these figures and there is more to them?
What would you prefer a back back with the Caretaker 12th the Doctor or a stand? the money only goes so far..
Your actually getting better value
Personally i have always felt the stand detracted from the product and was to big and prominent in the packaging
I would still buy them though as they are always getting lost so a pack of 10 or 5 say to buy separately would be appreciated
Anonymous
January 21st, 2015 - 9:39amI agree but it will look odd as the figures with stands don’t stand without them much in my opinion
Jake Robertson
January 21st, 2015 - 12:25pmBooboo I don’t mind buying them just don’t want to them to be over priced would rather buy pack of 50 or something
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 12:37pmwe have several missing so yes it would be good to buy them for those who want them
Jake Robertson
January 21st, 2015 - 3:02pmWhat you mean missing?
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 3:04pmstands missing ie we lost them
Chris
January 20th, 2015 - 11:57pmIt’s a shame the “Caretaker” Doctor hasn’t had his jumper properly sculpted; I think that with a few dots of white paint that would have looked good. There’s a nice ‘Time Heist’ variant just waiting to be produced; even if the shirt isn’t quite navy enough.
DoctorSong2013
January 21st, 2015 - 7:55amWhat’s annoying is te fact they bothered to remove the cardigan and have him in just his shirt but didn’t bother to give his actual jumper and it’s not as if it would be a waste because they could make a listen version, I can’t wait for the ROS variant as its my favourite version of his costume
Also yay no fat Clara’s can’t wait for the new ones
Ian
January 20th, 2015 - 11:14pmAny idea when the Daleks are coming out. Also I thought we were going to get a Teller figures. Also have the playset been discontinued?
The Werewolf
January 21st, 2015 - 3:19amAl has apparently said they won;t be making a figure of the Teller. Whether he means in the near future or full stop I don’t know.
Ian
January 21st, 2015 - 8:41amShame, would of liked a teller figure. But what about the playsets.
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 8:49amno sign of any more playsets but we have classic doctors and figures most likely as well as more new series to be added to the 3.75″ mix as time goes on
booboo
January 21st, 2015 - 9:54amThe Moving Daleks were listed end of January, i dont know if that’s still the case
