I got the Third Doctor from this set before from Manchester Film and Comic Con for only £2! He’s missing his Sonic Screwdriver, but still came in his box, but with no foil wrapper, but I can’t complain at that price.

A UK seller on ebay who gave me a 2nd Chance Offer. Can’t really afford to pay the Custom’s Fees it would cost importing it in from the US ~ So really needed a UK seller.

Wow! Cheers Booboo ~ I now have my own collection page…

Look’s like the Silver Tardis will only be available to a very (select) few! Out of a Production Run of 95,000 figures only 150 Silver Tardis were made…

Yeah I just opened it and thought it was odd as it wasn’t listed…it’s pretty I guess…I think I will wack it on eBay as I don’t collect them, I like Doctor Who but find the little figures a tiny but creepy. Hopefully the toy will pay for the nerdblock a for a few months

From TITAN Merchandise: The figure was produced at the last minute & was so rare that even the Head of TITAN Production didn’t even get to pick one up & look at it. They were just packed & shipped. For hardcore Collector’s who want one of everything this was TITAN’s special-one-of-a-kind slap in the face…

Hey guys not sure if anyone still reads these but I felt I had to comment. Through a lot of luck I managed to get the complete retail set including the silver Tardis along with 4, 9, 10 and both 11’s variants. The most common ones I stumbled across where William Hartnell and Matt Smith. The hardest one to find aside from the Tardis was Colin Baker and Paul Mcgann. I did manage to pick up a few things though Tom Baker is the heaviest of the bunch with the Tardis being the second.

If you play with the box a bit you may notice a small protrusion a bit that would be a hat. If you feel this with a little weight it is Tom Baker, if it is light it will be Sylvester Mccoy. The Matt Smith with the Fez wont rattle around in the box as much. I wish I could offer more advice in the hunting process.

December 10th, 2013 - 9:26pm

Wow! Good going – Where did you pick up the Silver Tardis from? That’s the only one left that I need. The only 2 I have seen so far were on ebay for silly money…

• linus

December 16th, 2013 - 5:11am

@radburn I am in the states and I got all mine from a retail store named “Hot Topic”. The TARDIS itself I found a small trick. I was helping a customer find a Tom Baker usingbthe weight of the boxes. I thought I found her a Tom Baker as it was a heavy box. It was the TARDIS. It weighs the same as the Baker figure again the heaviest of the lot but is real stiff in the packaging. If its heavy and you shake the box you should feel little to no jarring. That my friend will be the TARDIS.

December 18th, 2013 - 7:19pm

When you said you got a Silver Tardis – I thought ‘Bet he lives in the US’ – From what I can gather this seem’s to be an Exclusive to Hot Topic? The Tardis seem’s from previous versions (Like the Daleks) to be heavier in the boxes. Checking the boxes the Silver Tardis is not listed on them at all. As a Collector in the UK this annoy’s me & I have already complained to TITAN about them releasing Exclusives for this range that not everyone can get hold of. Needless to say their
Managing Director emailed me with a load of waffle but no answer…

• Linus

December 19th, 2013 - 11:03pm

@Radburn yeah man sorry I can’t confirm if it is a Hot Topic exclusive or even American exclusive. I don’t understand why they would do that if it were true. I know the David Tennant run had a Hot Topic exclusive which I thought was odd. We just got in a new box a few days ago and I was helping a lady find a Tom Baker. It wasn’t Tom Baker it was the TARDIS. If we happen to get in a new box I will see what I can do for you. Think of it as a Christmas gift from one fan to another. I am however looking forward to finding a John Hurt TITAN heresoon

• Radburn

December 20th, 2013 - 8:18am

@Linus – Maybe as you said we could do a deal (A Silver Tardis swap for a John Hurt or something?)

I think the Tennant one was ‘The End Of Time’ version which did get a release here. But the versions of Tuxedo/9th. Doctor’s Clothes Tennant was only SDCC & NYCC then later Excel London. If you couldn’t get to any of those Conventions you were’nt getting those figures!

• Linus

December 21st, 2013 - 4:30am

@Radburn I got my SDCC Tennant off of Amazon. It cost me $40.00 (£25.07).

• Radburn

December 21st, 2013 - 2:17pm

@Linus – Mine was the ebay route for the SDCC Tennant which I had to Import in from the States. Luckily Booboo kindly helped me out with the Excel Exclusives. To be honest it’s tough going trying to get one of everything…

November 28th, 2013 - 12:00pm

As with the (10th Dr) Set this seem’s to have stretched from 16 figure’s to 18 again – Despite the run-down featured on the boxes? The variants were supposed to be 5? Outlines on the box show 9th Dr 1/40 Green Shirt variant, 4th Dr 1/40 (Unknown at present), 11th Dr 1/40 with Fez/Mop & 10th Dr 1/40 which seem to be both Convention variants of the Tuxedo/10th Dr in 9th’s Clothes. The 11th Dr 1/40 other variant is pictured with Red Shirt & Braces. Now a Silver Tardis 50th variant which isn’t featured on the boxes at all seem’s to have appeared…

November 29th, 2013 - 1:44pm

Now those pictures make more sense. The 4th Doctor Variant is the Grey Coat version then. The Blue Waistcoat 10th Doctor is the standard & the Brown Waistcoat is the 10th Variant. Obviously the ebay listings I saw for the Tuxedo/9th’s Clothes versions of the 10th were incorrectly listed.

So the current line up for the 11 Doctors 50th Set
looks like this:

5 Variants as pictured outlines on the boxes. Making the set 16 (Now 17 – With the appearance of the Silver 50th Tardis)

1st Dr 2/20 (Cane)
2nd Dr 1/20 (Flute)
3rd Dr 3/40 (Sonic)
4th Dr 2/20
4th Dr 1/40 (Variant Grey Coat)
5th Dr 2/20
6th Dr 1/20
7th Dr 1/20 (Umbrella)
8th Dr 1/20
9th Dr 2/20 (Red Shirt & Sonic)
9th Dr 1/40 (Variant Green Shirt & Sonic)
10th Dr 1/40 (Variant Brown Pinstripe Suit & Sonic)
10th Dr 2/20 (Blue Pinstripe Suit & Sonic)

• booboo

November 29th, 2013 - 2:09pm

reading around all 9th Doctors seem to be green, 2 others have had 2 in their boxes like me, no reds

• Radburn

November 29th, 2013 - 2:09pm

Continued:

11th Dr 2/20 (Long Red Coat & Sonic)
11th Dr 1/40 (Variant Red Shirt/Braces & Sonic)
11th Dr 1/40 (Variant Fez & Mop)
Tardis 1/40 (Variant Silver 50th Anniversary)

• Radburn

November 29th, 2013 - 2:14pm

Maybe they got it wrong on the picture on the box? Maybe it’s the Green that is standard & the Red is the Rare?

Would it kill them to just stick a tiny picture list inside the boxes so we know what we are looking for? It’s a pain in the $%&£ trying to work out what is what!

they told me in an email yesterday that there was no guarantee if you order 40 you would get 2 full boxes, just 40 random figures

Unfortunately we can not guarantee that you would get the full box and not 40 individual figures, these kinds of requests can only really be done in store to be sure you would get what you’re after. and that the only way you could do that is to get them in-store

no email was from .com, they are part of Titan i believe,

part of this is that i want the retail box as well as the figures but i’m not taking the risk in view of what the email says, there are other palaces i can get them who will insure an unopened box anyway.

• Randall

September 18th, 2013 - 1:54pm

Sounds like you are covered anyway – I love the retail boxes too. I just got this from titanmerchandise.com

YEP, THE TEAM AT FORBIDDENPLANET.COM CAN DO THIS FOR YOU, NO PROBLEM. JUST EMAIL THEM AT THEIR USUAL ADDRESS AND PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. FP.COM SHOULD BE LISTING STAND-ALONE COUNTER DISPLAY UNITS OF TWENTY AS A PURCHASE OPTION BY NEXT WEEK.

September 18th, 2013 - 2:10pm

I’ve spoke to Andrew Sumner from Titan March and to Nargis Masud from FP.com – they both confirmed that an order of 20 boxes would automatically be shipped as a complete box.

• booboo

September 18th, 2013 - 2:33pm

No not according to an email i have for their PR dept

conflicting info just makes me look stupid when i try to find out things for folks – last time i will do it and will just direct people to the relevant PR dept themselves

They have also said they are boxed randomly packed so if you order a box there is no guarantee you will get them all anyway

• Lior Knight

September 18th, 2013 - 3:01pm

I’ve asked Andrew Sumner about the random packs and he replied:

”When you buy an entire box you definitely get a complete set of Doctors.

You’ll get all of the 11 Doctors at least once and one, maybe two of the super-rare chase figures.”

This is directly from Titan March so its as official as it gets regardless what FP workers might think.

• booboo

September 18th, 2013 - 4:29pm

like i said, i asked i was told exactly the opposite, made me look stupid, anyone else asks anything i will just give them the companies CS email

companies (not all) seem to have a habit of either not replying at all or giving out duff info as far as i am concerned

• Lior Knight

September 18th, 2013 - 9:52pm

Booboo, its not your fault so no need to feel bad about it. FP just need to check with the manufacturer before answering questions.
