Doctor Who The Other (War) Doctor 5″ Figure

Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk

The ‘Other Doctor’ is the Doctor’s dark chapter, an _hitherto unknown incarnation whose existence he has spent centuries repressing, a secret he wants no one to know of.

He is a relic of the past, part of the great Time War, when he spent centuries fighting alongside his fellow Time Lords against the Daleks and made the final decision to end it with a desperate act that cost that incarnation the right to use the name “Doctor”.

This haunted and battle-worn Other Doctor is finally forgiven after helping find a new solution to end the war, giving the Eleventh Doctor a new purpose as he heads into further adventures.

Couldn’t believe my luck, gave up any hope of finding this figure then I walked into forbidden planet London and thought I would just have a quick look at the doctor who section and there was a fully stocked shelf of war doctors!

i suspect FP have had their entire allocation for now, if not why not tell people they are expecting more?

    Clara

    10th doctor with better articulation

    war doctor

    rose

    • TheMysteryLiker

      April 10th, 2014 - 6:06pm

But why would they include Rose when she wasn’t in the 50th? 😉

    • Danny

      April 10th, 2014 - 6:16pm

      rose was that moment thing

    • The Silent Silent

      April 10th, 2014 - 6:31pm

But Billie Piper doesn’t approve any action figures of herself thats we only got 2 rose figures and that the vinyl figure of her was cancelled

    • Danny

      April 10th, 2014 - 6:49pm

why doesn’t she want a figure of herself??

    • Trenzalore

      April 10th, 2014 - 7:02pm

I wouldn’t really want a figure of myself. It’s very understandable.

    • Danny

      April 10th, 2014 - 8:29pm

      I’d love figure of myself!

    • The Silent Silent

well ide like a figure of my self but then they go on sale… now im not to sure 😕

    • Explosive Cookie

      April 11th, 2014 - 2:23pm

Billie Piper played the moment, not Rose. Also it took the form of Bad Wolf, again not Rose but I would love a 5″ 50th figure set.

    • Nicholas

      April 11th, 2014 - 9:23pm

Billie didn’t like the idea of her children growing up and playing with toys of her

    • Explosive Cookie

      April 12th, 2014 - 12:29pm

To be honest, that’s a bit selfish of her…what about all the other children in the world who want to? All she could of done is ya know, not buy them…

    • Trenzalore

      April 12th, 2014 - 1:22pm

She’s already made 2 figures of herself which she probably did reluctantly. It’s still more figures than most classic companions (which I want more than her to be honest 😆 )

    • Anonymous

      April 12th, 2014 - 3:00pm

They could just make a new sculpt that looks vaguely like her say that It’s not a figure of Billie Piper as the moment, but it’s completely based on what the character would look like, and it just happens to look like her

    • Darren

      April 10th, 2014 - 4:45pm

personally the50thDoctor I would get it now, otherwise they will all be gone and the ones on ebay will be way above RRP, now there around the £30 mark considering they was £15 at RRP, why wait a few more months when the people on ebay will be selling new ones for even more than £30

    • the50thDoctor

      April 11th, 2014 - 11:51am

that is a good point! i’ll look around and see what the cheapest price is that I can find it for.

    • Darren

      April 11th, 2014 - 2:26pm

no problem, glad you see that point of view and I can say the figure is top quality and possibly the best likeness out of all the 5″ figures I’ve got/seen

    • the50thDoctor

      April 11th, 2014 - 4:18pm

yeah, I wasn’t really sold on it at first but I don’t really know why… but now I really like it! all we need now is an 11th doctor in the new outfit, a Clara and maybe a 12th doctor in the better, more detailed 5 inch scale and I will be happy! haha

To me it doesn’t make sense why people diss the 3.75″ figures. Isn’t it clear that they’re not going back completely to 5″. And can’t you see the big step up from Wave 1 to Wave 2? People are saying they don’t sell well, but when I go to Toys R Us they are always completely sold out.

It that were true, there would be no wave 2, it was the %2 figures that were sitting on the shelves and retailers didn’t want them any-more, its beyond me why people don’t get it

The core collectors market doesn’t count as far as mass retail is concerned

    • Danny

      April 8th, 2014 - 10:39am

5inch sell faster cause more people like them but the 3.75 sell too. Just not as fast and 5 inch. Anyway i like the 3.75 range

    • booboo

      April 8th, 2014 - 11:01am

they don’t, you are comparing one figure that is limited in quantity and only on-sale in effectively ONE retailer in the UK which some people seem to forget
