Bill Potts wants her life to be about more than serving chips.
The cleverest person in the University canteen, but never a student, Bill lives with her Foster Mum Maria, and thinks exciting things happen to other people.
But when Bill makes a connection with Student Heather she soon finds herself dragged into a creepy and dangerous world that revolves around a mysterious and inexplicable puddle. There’s something wrong with her reflection…but what?
In searching for the answer, she discovers that the Lecturer who’s taken her under his wing is actually a time travelling alien who’s about to take her on the trip of a lifetime to get to the truth.

February 20th, 2018 - 5:48pmIntriguing. I can’t help but feel this figure was always intended to be mass market, available in a similar manner to 10th Doctor in Tuxedo and Hoodie 12th Doctors. Clearly something went wrong, and somehow Amazon have picked it up. Will be interesting to see if Character Online also sell it.

still think Bill was heading for the same market until the UT demise (and could well have been the “cancelled” figure) and CO had to find a new partner

February 20th, 2018 - 6:13pmEven so I think it was nice to see those figures on sites like Zavvi, Character Online, in FP stores and at the time the Experience store. I mean obviously ideally it’d be slightly more mass market than that but it was still nice to see.
Tbh I find it difficult to see how the brand will manage now, in merchandise anyway, with Toys R Us declining rapidly I can’t help but think the potential paths are closing slowly overtime.

Take the 13 doctors set, 600 UK allocation sets sold out in a month yet now half price a year and half later in the USA
shows the appalling lack of commitment to the UK market in years past by retailers

I can tell you for a fact they were all destined for FP at £14.99
anyone taking on an exclusive wants to get a good return for their investment Bill is also probably a limited run and one off figure.

February 20th, 2018 - 3:50pmI wasn’t expecting this, I have never known Amazon to list 5” figures before FP. I wonder if there will be anymore figures or it’s just this one? If it is just this then it makes sense because it was probably months into production and too late to cancel which is why we may be getting just this figure and no others. I think it’ll be packaged in the standard collector’s series packaging as the branding hasn’t been released yet for Series 11 so it’s unlikely the figure will come packaged in anything relating to the next series.

February 20th, 2018 - 4:00pmThis is a different approach from CO when it comes to releasing 5” figures as they’ve been known to release them through FP or TRU, there’s nothing to say though that FP won’t sell it but I doubt TRU will with their recent financial situation. Is this what you meant during the week of London Toy Fair when you said stuff was definitely coming but you weren’t allowed to say?

I still think Bill was developed months ago with UT and FP as the retailers but the split put pay to that and CO had to find a new retailer if she was ever to get released which they seem to have now done
this listing strikes me as a “pre press release” listing so its ready to link to when all the info/images come out.

February 2nd, 2018 - 1:45pmIt seems like reports of what “may” have been there have been greatly exaggerated. There have been many different posts on social media either claiming that nothing was there or that there was but it was being shown to retailers. It really is anyone’s guess as to if there was anything shown in a conference/secret room or not. There could’ve been something being shown to retailers, but without images or confirmation the information is sketchy. We don’t even know for definite if there was a Thirteenth Doctor figure there or not and if there was what scale it’s in and what costume, I suspect it would’ve been her main costume. I’m not sure where the rumour of there being a Thirteenth Doctor figure there originated from in the first place, it could easily have been people assuming there was one on display there, which I’m not saying there wasn’t but there isn’t enough information to prove it and the only people who really know aren’t allowed to disclose the information.
