Robert Harrop Special Weapons Dalek – A Closer Look
With thanks to Robert Harrop for this advanced sample.
The Special Weapons Dalek is available to order while stocks last from www.robertharrop.com
Its here – the eagerly awaited latest addition to the Harrops Doctor Who range. Harrop teased a photo on their Facebook page in December last year letting everyone know that the Special Weapons Dalek would be next in line.
Following on from the already sold out Christmas Edition Cybershade and Pewter Zygon , This unique Dalek is from the 7th Doctor Story Remembrance of The Daleks.
Another fabulous addition to this ever growing range – The detail and finish are superb as it has been right throughout this range. The “weathered” effect that the Special Weapons Dalek is famous for against the clean white and gold Imperial Daleks is very well applied.
The Special Weapons Dalek also has the surprise benefit of a fully rotatable turret (shown in the photos below). The figurine comes in 2 separate parts with a small metal pin used to centre the 2 halves.
Harrops now seem to have settled on edition sizes of 150-250 which sell out relatively quickly and realistically you now need to order these as soon as they become available if you want as complete a collection as possible.
This has an edition size of 250, higher than recent figures but Daleks are always in high demand so we still don’t expect this one to last long.
They seem firmly committed to the “Classic Era” with recent figures being a very welcome move away from the more traditional monsters.
Harrops have recently renewed their initial 3 year licence so this range is sure to continue with many more figures to come.

February 25th, 2018 - 4:28pmThanks, It does look really good and I know what you mean.
You can see from the picture that the Robert Harrop looks distressed but has a more natural distressed appearance, whereas the Character Options 5″ figure looks like its been painted on !!!

February 24th, 2018 - 6:12pmI prefer the classic series really if I’m honest, it’s what I grew up with so the characters they make speak to me more…, I like everything new series too though & buy the odd item that they do make from it. 🙂
