More Doctor Who Sets Later in the Year

Please note we have been made aware this list is “out of date”, which means some of what you see hear may have changed.

In a year when leaks seem to be in fashion, the USA distributor for Doctor products has gone and sent out emails to multiple addresses with a list of previously unknown figures and sets due later in the year. In the days of social media sadly once its out its out.

Presumably as usual they will be B&M exclusives in the UK apart from it seems the Single carded Blue top 13th Doctor. As they sent out the list we assume these will all be sold in the USA by the new distributor.

There are no pictures and no more information or any hint as to exactly whats in the sets so all you can do is speculate at this stage.

  • Doctor Who – 13th Doctor Action Figure (Blue Top) USA Exclusive.
  • Doctor Who – History of the Daleks Twin Pack A The Chase
  • Doctor Who – History of the Daleks Twin Pack B The Daleks Masterplan
  • Doctor Who – Companions Of the 4th Doctor Set B
  • Doctor Who – Friends and Foes of the 13th Dcotor Set B
  • Doctor Who – 1975 U.N.I.T Terror of the Zygons Set
  • Doctor Who – 5th Dr & Tardis Set – Castrovalva
  • Doctor Who – Ace and Dalek Rocket Launcher Pack
  • Doctor Who – 12th Doctor and Davros

I’d really like a history of the daleks sets however it would be nice to add a classic davros to the specific story(ies) he appeared in. For example he could appear in a genesis of the daleks set or a Resurrection of the daleks set, who knows but it would be nice. Also I think they should do a wave or 2 of just history of the daleks sets then you’d have a huge choice of what to buy.

I think that a NOTD 8th Doctor should be re released, perhaps with his TARDIS

I’m hoping that now we have a new lamp sculpt that CO will be thinking about making a TUAT or a power of the daleks exterior because personally I think it would be a nice addition to have either but, going along the lines of tardises maybe we could eventually have a s18 exterior design from any story between the leisure hive and the keeper of traken because I think again it would be nice to see.

I want a re-release of the Tardis from An Unearthly Child (with that new lamp sculpt) as I missed out on it the first time. Could do a more accurate colour scheme and accurate font decals.

Another 8th doctor set is long overdue in my opinion
I know we only had one this year but as a doctor he’s had the least amount of releases, I believe even the war doctor has had more, all we want is a night of the doctor re-release

I’d rather they re-released the movie 8th Doctor. I have 2 Night of the Doctor 8ths (one regular, and one in 13 Doctors set) but no movie 8th Doctors.

I know it’s unlikely but I’d love them to do their own moulds for Torchwood figures at some point. I know Sci-fi collector already made some which are still brilliant but the scale is a little off as are a couple of faces. Since the head sculpts have been so brilliant for the dw figures I think it would be great!

They could do jack, Gwen and ianto set (using the jack DW figure sculpt, a suit body for ianto from one of the preexisting figures with new head sculpts and something similar for Gwen).

A second set could be toshiko, Owen and maybe even Martha. It wouldn’t be too hard to do Martha in a lab coat, toshiko – Sarah Jane figure in a coat could always be used as a body. As for owen they could use a figure from primeval like Stephen for the body.

I know this would never happen but it would be pretty cool. On another note does anyone know why an Owen figure was never made in the first place?

Would love there to be some Torchwood figures. They could do a Gwen as there is the headsculpt for Gwenyth which was never released sadly. CO probably only have the license to do Doctor Who and not Torchwood and since its unlikely to return they won’t do it, but Gwen, Lanto and Tosh have been in Who.

Never understood why an Owen figure wasn’t made, bit weird to leave one character out, especially as they did John Hart and Owen featured more than Lanto, he was the third most prominent character after Gwen and Jack. If they did ever release Torchwood figures it would be cool if they did a Suzie and Hub playset which I always wanted, especially the Torchwood fountain.

Owen was destined for wave 3 but wave 2 tanked and it was all cancelled (some of the figures ended up in the £1 shop), Great shame.

I think they would have sold a lot better if they had been in scale with the CO figures.

I heard he was planned for Wave 2 but Burn Gorman wasn’t happy with it so it was replaced with the Blowfish.

I think we will just be getting tweaked repaints. Would they really give us new companions for the 4th Dr? What 5th Dr do you think will be included with the tardis?

Why not? They’re flying off the shelves at the moment, unlike many of the DC/Scooby-Doo/Walking Dead peg-warmers that are still on the shelves month after month … probably B&M are somewhat bemused that they (mostly) sell so well.

Well there’s only Nyssa , Tegan and Adric left 4th Doc wise and they’re more associated with Doc 5

  • Gareth Pugh

What interests me is that the leaked list cited the Companions of the 4th Doctor as
    • ‘Dr Who – Companions Of the 4th Dr Set B (2 asst)’

I’ve learned (from being allowed by a kindly B&M staff member to get my two Daleks sets this time out of a brown card box sitting on a pallet on the shop floor, not yet put out) that ‘2 asst’ means 2 different products, assorted (‘asst’), ship in the one card box outer, like the two Daleks sets did (it said ‘2 asst’ on the side of that box and at that point, that bit of text suddenly made sense to me).

So… does this mean that Companions of the 4th Set B will ship in a 12-pack box like this wave, but there would be 6 of one set and 6 of some other one?

And if so – what would the be the two different sets shipping in the same cardboard outers?

      August 6th, 2020 - 11:52am

it could simply mean the sets have the same bar code even though they are different products (like The Daleks)

set set b will be 12 in a box of whatever set b is (or it could be something completely different)

we know that list is old as well so if could be things weren’t 100% finalised when it was sent.

      August 8th, 2020 - 12:05am

Gareth, the telling bit was that the distributor prefaced the list in their message to say “We have 9 new SKUs”. That also makes booboo’s assumption valid that the same UPC applies, which would naturally imply the same SKU too.

But yes, the list is old now. Even their leaking of the list might have led to CO revising production, or, punitively, even availability to the USA distributor..

My precictions for summer 2021…I think a companions of the first doctor 3 pack, a companions of the 5th Dr set and enemies of the 10th Doctor would be a cool lot of packs. 1st Dr and tardis set and history of the daleks set 5 and 6.

Loved that last lot of B&M sets and very happy that The Doctor has her ‘Fam’ complete! Very excited for the next batch of B&M exclusives!

I wonder if “The Chase” set would contain a blue domed Guard Dalek (previously released as part of the Sound FX Dalek range) and maybe the Supreme Dalek too? Or would the Supreme perhaps be left for “The Daleks’ Master Plan” set and “The Chase” simply get a regular silver slatted Dalek alongside a Guard Dalek?

In 2022, I think they should do a SJA wave with two sets. Sarah Jane,Clyde and Luke and Maria, Rani and Sky. It’d be to mark the fifteenth anniversary of the first airing of the show because eventually, they will run out of ideas for Doctor who sets.

Upon thinking. Companions of the 4th Doc Set B could be an amazing chance to solve a problem we would encounter when we get to the 5th Doctors companions.

So you would have Adric being in the set with two other variants of what we got in the current set

So the “Companions of the 5th Doctor set” comes with a Tegan, Nyssa and Turlough so we complete the Davison era companions!

(Assuming they got plans to do companions for each era and are planning in advance!)

I kinda think people are getting a bit carried away three pack speculation. I think they’ll just be repaints of the existing ones but with one or two paint variants, like maybe a Horns of Nimon Romana 2, or Yaz with a different shirt or something.

While it would be more expensive to do Adric, Tegan, Nyssa or any other 13th Doctor villain, I sill think it would be more than just a repaint. In 2018, when the 3 packs got rereleased later in the year with a touch up, it kept he same name, where a these new are called “Set B”, meaning it will be different.
When you actually think about it, and it took me a while to realise after agreeing with the possibility of a repaint, for the 4th Doctor Companions, how do you repaint them into new costumes? We will at least see new parts incorporated, if not figure swaps (Graham and Jack replacing Ryan and Yaz).

Booboo, is it plausible that the enemy in the 13th Doctor set could be a Tux Sacha Master figure? I was thinking it could be very effective if they were to make the head within the b&m range so then they can make tweak the jacket, chest and legs of a 7B 11 figure in a (potential) second main range Wave.
