More Doctor Who Sets Later in the Year

Please note we have been made aware this list is “out of date”, which means some of what you see hear may have changed.

In a year when leaks seem to be in fashion, the USA distributor for Doctor products has gone and sent out emails to multiple addresses with a list of previously unknown figures and sets due later in the year. In the days of social media sadly once its out its out.

Presumably as usual they will be B&M exclusives in the UK apart from it seems the Single carded Blue top 13th Doctor. As they sent out the list we assume these will all be sold in the USA by the new distributor.

There are no pictures and no more information or any hint as to exactly whats in the sets so all you can do is speculate at this stage.

  • Doctor Who – 13th Doctor Action Figure (Blue Top) USA Exclusive.
  • Doctor Who – History of the Daleks Twin Pack A The Chase
  • Doctor Who – History of the Daleks Twin Pack B The Daleks Masterplan
  • Doctor Who – Companions Of the 4th Doctor Set B
  • Doctor Who – Friends and Foes of the 13th Dcotor Set B
  • Doctor Who – 1975 U.N.I.T Terror of the Zygons Set
  • Doctor Who – 5th Dr & Tardis Set – Castrovalva
  • Doctor Who – Ace and Dalek Rocket Launcher Pack
  • Doctor Who – 12th Doctor and Davros

Is the ‘Dalek Rocket Launcher’ an Imperial Dalek, SWD or just Aces accessory?

Oh l hope that Chase set includes the guard dalek with the gold midsection bands and the blue dome. My favourite classic era dalek apart from the Imperial dalek and the POTD supreme.

Struggling to believe that CO and B&M are planning to get another wave out before the New Year, let alone one this extensive. But wouldn’t it be nice to get new(ish) Doctor Who figures out not long before Christmas, AND be able to get hold of them fairly easily?

Those NECA Ultimate Doc and Marty figures may not be top of my Chrimbo wish list after all.

Well I’m definitely not going to buy that Ace figure I saw on eBay then since this will be much cheaper. And several of those others look tempting too. It depends what Daleks are in the Chase set. And it depends whether I can get to a B&M by then.

Adric, Nyssa and Tegan would be a great set to complete all Fourth Doctor companions, however given the cost, I agree it’s more likely to be re-costumed alternatives of Sarah+the two Romanas.

B+M Leicester Belgrave store have the above set and UNIT, picked them up this morning; however (to save others a wasted journey!) the boss at Leicester St.George store has told me they have discontinued the range.

To clarify, “no longer ordering or stocking the range” was the implication. Perhaps due to poor sales in previous years? Surprising if that’s the case though, perhaps they got too much stock and then couldn’t shift it…

      July 29th, 2020 - 7:25pm

No longer stocking or ordering was the implication. Would love them to do a Planet of Evil Sarah-Jane, unlikely, but that was an amazing costume….

ignore, if they don’t stock these how do they know sales are poor, sounds like they are putting a blanket ban because a few slow moving sets in the past.

      good job B&M know different

Some variants of 4th doctor companions I’d like to see would include:
A rough yellow coat Sarah Jane using the kudlak sarah Jane body or using the same body for her zygons outfit
Pyramids Sarah using a gelth body (which could also be used for a full circle Romana 2)
Armageddon Romana 1 using a jabe body with some new chest sculpting to remove the bark effect
Horns Romana using the same Sarah Jane body
Shada Romana 2 using an Idris body (would complement the shada 4th doctor and tardis set nicely)

Some nice choices. First for me romana 1 i,d like in her burbery cap and outfit from Stones, sarah in andy pandy outfit or yellow nylon raincoat from Sontaran and yes the horns outfit i,d like for Romana 2. ooh yes please.

This is superb! It’s a shame they where leaked but still what great sets. I assume all the sets we’ve already had that are version B’s will be the same figures with some repaints like previous years. I’m also going to assume the UNIT set will be the same figures with some changes perhaps. The 5th Doctor and Tardis will be an almost rerelease of last years model minus the scuff marks. The Dalek and figure packs are mightily interesting though. Ace is a highly sought after figure and a repainted twelfth is great too. Davros is also hard to get your hands on so thatll be a welcome inclusion from fans. I don’t know if anyone else has had these thoughts but I’m sure that booboo probably has the feeling that the B sets will just be re-releases.

      Companions set B Leela ? Adric ?

    • Bakerloo Line

      July 28th, 2020 - 3:42pm

I doubt that it would be Leela, and unless they’ve been planning these sets for a while I doubt it’d be Adric either. It could be Nyssa, Tegan and Adric and the name changes to Companions of the 5th Doctor like booboo said that the names could change. I think that there will be plenty of speculation for all of these sets but I say hang on and wait until the reveal. My guess is they’ll be revealed around October ready for a November release for Christmas. booboo might be able to help closer to the time.

      July 28th, 2020 - 3:47pm

Correct me if I’m wrong, but did they use the newberry prop in castrovalva at times on location because if so, instead of just getting a descuffed androzani tardis we could get a stacked roof shade tardis with original lamp (so it would be the shape of the andorzani tardis but the colour scheme of the shada box including the pale red and orange windows)

    • James17

      July 28th, 2020 - 3:53pm

The second unit set cant really be the same as Yates never appeared in Terror of the Zygons, so maybe a 4th doctor figure or something else

    • Bakerloo Line

      July 28th, 2020 - 3:56pm

As someone said earlier we could get that prototype 4th Doctor in his kilt which would be an amazing surprise and a definite buy for collectors. If it isn’t that then maybe a Zygon?

    • Bobby Davros

      July 28th, 2020 - 5:25pm

      Romana from Horns of Nimon.

    • Independently Cross

      July 28th, 2020 - 5:28pm

Exactly my thoughts. This is the ‘tweaked’ wave, moved forward, with extras (and all of your assumptions of how they appear match mine, though I think there’s a good possibility the 5th Doctor figure itself might be a regeneration-style one, like in the 4th Doctor ‘Robot’ TARDIS set).
The suggested time-frame for release seems a *bit* too ambitious to me, though, in such a complicated year. If it was ever-so-slightly later, I think this would be perfect.

I really want to see kerblam men using a new wraparound, head and hand sculpts on a 3 doctors brigadier body, the same one they used for Benton and Yates (using new wraparounds), packaged with a kerblam parcel

Kasaavin using new sculpting on an axon man body?

Sachas master using a time of the doctor 11th doctor body

Fugitive of the judoon yaz variant or brown coated Graham, perhaps a light blue shirted captain Jack as I don’t think we got a character options version

Spyfall 13th doctor would be amazing

no, no images, the info came in a general enquiry email from the USA Amazon shop. We had the email (and i will say again if it had just been us you wouldn’t know anything about these sets) but others also had it and the news is out so no point in us sitting on it now.

booboo, I would understand if something is said to you in confidence, but you just said it yourself – it was a general inquiry. That’s clearly on the US distributor. Still, if you had actually received the same email, and since it’s in the same context as the earlier email that was shared, you would have not said anything about it?

Just curious, as I do come here for information sometimes, and appreciate what I find!

    • booboo

      July 28th, 2020 - 3:50pm

nothing was said in confidence no, we just asked the Amazon Shop if they had an idea of when the sets would give live, this was as a customer nothing to do with the site they would not have known who we were, and they replied saying with 14 days and a list of the figure sets.

We would never have put this out their had it been just us who got it we don’t do that sort of thing but others had got the same info and posted it on forums already. In fact i blocked comment naming the sets to start with (but did confirm the email was genuine and real) but its out now and that’s it.

      July 28th, 2020 - 3:58pm

They could do the ghost 12th Doctor from Under the Lake/Before the Flood with a new headsculpt. And they could do Rusty the Dalek in the same style as the 3.75 inch version. New dome sculpt with attached wires and new plunger, gun and eyes stalk sculpts. I would love that.

    • JL

      July 28th, 2020 - 3:23pm

Whispermen could be done using a snowmen 11th doctor
Time of the doctor black shirted silence, perhaps with dalek eyestalk in the forehead
Smiling weeping angel from angels take Manhattan
Half face man using snowmen 11th doctor also with arm rescultping
Prentis also using 11th doctor snowmen body
World enough and time missy head sculpt
I’m sure there’s a way we could have a simple doctor falls simm master
Magicians apprentice repaints of classic daleks
A longer black coated and hoodie variant of the 12th doctor from smile
      David Bradley 1st doctor
I’m sure colony saarf could be done too with either a series 5 winder or a Magnus greel body
Under the lake Clara using original body with short hair sculpt
Kate Stewart using a school reunion Sarah Jane body for her death in heaven look
Bonnie by using the original Clara body and putting a coat piece over the pvc dress, with interchangeable head for the Clara version, packaged with 2 Osgood boxes and a bazooka
Mondasian cybermen with new head and chest sculpting (would be far from accurate but different enough from the tenth planet version and passable for a series 10 variant)

I’m very excited for the 12th Doctor and Davros pack as I’m huge fan of his era and always wanted more from it. A new 12th Doc variant will be great. I speculate the Ace set will come with the destroyed Dalek that originally came with Emperor Davros. Would make sense if she has the rocket launcher.

That’s a good call on the Dalek, actually. Feels very possible, now you mention it (because the plan’s obviously to eventually get to these Daleks in their standard form in the twin packs, anyway, and the one you mention feels a bit more comparable to the Davros with Capaldi).
(Maybe some sunglasses on 12, too, if possible? And the paint app on Davros will be interesting, to see if it suggests the subtle change in the appearance in the 12th Doctor’s era).
Lovely little pair of extra sets, regardless.
