*Set 3 will start with issue 32
*There are 126 new cards
*special edition ultra rare
*6 cards with each magazine
*different cards with each issue so you are guaranteed to complete if you get each magazine
*suggests cards will only be available with the magazine

There are 52 fortnightly issues to collect. Part 1 is £1.50, thereafter it’s £2.60 though you can also buy sets one and two of the card packs separately at £1.50 per pack of nine cards.

June 19th, 2012 - 3:48amContacted DWMI by email – No response so far. So to try to get some further clarification on what is happening I ‘phoned them. All I got was broken tuneless background music with a voice saying “Your call is very important to us – Please hold & a Representative will get to you as soon as possable” then a voice saying “You are number one in the queque” after 5 minutes I gave up.

June 19th, 2012 - 6:37pmWell, I didn’t expect so many changes. It would be nice if it would be possible to get the infinite, which would be in a pack with 7 cards. Special flips cards I’m guessing are cards that have pictures in both sides and a Silence Will Falll cards sounds cool, but I can’t imagine what it would be like.
I wish they could just get this over and done with it. I can’t wait for issue 52 in April 2013!

June 19th, 2012 - 6:50pmHmmm…I think the Silence Will Fall card will be an image of the TARDIS scanner with the Crack running through it as shown in The Pandorica Opens. Maybe the Crack will be textured (if that’s the right word) slighlty like on the Series 5 steelbook.

June 27th, 2012 - 9:19pmThe reason they can list them like that is likely due to production numbers. Since you can’t get the cards through regular packs, but only with the magazine, they are likely printing much fewer then they would of a regular production run. That means, even though you are guaranteed to get all the cards by subscribing, the total produced still puts them in the “rare” and “ultra rare” categories because of how many will be in actual circulation.

June 15th, 2012 - 4:07pmI actually like the idea of doing magazine exclusives – it gives collectors of the mag something extra to look forward to apart from just the (insubstantial) magazine. Also, I think that using common cards would lower the “limited edition”ness of the cards, and if there were commons then it would just be like another set you could buy in the shops. However, I do like the irony that DWMI’s “Ultimate” collection is also their shortest.

June 15th, 2012 - 1:58pmWell, as I said before that it’s a bad idea, maybe it is a little good. I much prefer the other sets, even though you could get over 100 doubles!
I’ll be ok with set 3 ONLY if they have at least 1 Super Rare 3D and 20 commons would be enough.
Also, they should bring out a tin which will have the first 5 packs (from issues 32-36) the time issue 37 is out for the people that didn’t get the cards. (limited tin: only 8.000 and the tin will have The Doctor, Amy and Rory on the lid)
