Forbidden Planet announces Doctor Who Day sale with 15 exclusive items from the 60th Anniversary Collection available for fans to own early.

To mark the anniversary of Doctor Who’s very first episode airing in the UK, Forbidden Planet and Titan Merchandise have announced that 15 exclusive items will go on sale from the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Collection for 24 hours only.

The 60th Anniversary Collection consists of 15 merchandise ranges, one each for Doctors One to Thirteen, including the War Doctor and Fugitive Doctor. One range will be released every month between October 2022 and October 2023 in the build-up to the show’s anniversary.

On Doctor Who Day, 23rd November, an item from each range will be available for fans to buy for 24 hours from the Forbidden Planet webstore. After this, the items won’t be available until the respective collection goes on sale. The exclusive items include a Third Doctor art print, Fifth Doctor enamel pin badge and Thirteenth Doctor coaster. The remaining items will be revealed at 9am on the Forbidden Planet webstore

Jay Binstead, Operations Manager at Forbidden Planet, said: “We’re extremely excited to bring fans these items some up to 12 months before they go on general sale. There’s a mix of brand-new items with never seen before designs from every single Doctor, including the War Doctor and Fugitive Doctor. We know fans are going to love them but they’ll have to act as the sale will last for strictly 24 hours and then fans will have to wait until the full merchandise range for each Doctor is released.”

Additionally, select items will be available in the London store for 24 hours while stocks last.

Fans will also need to keep an eye on the webstore for a commemorative anniversary reveal on the webstore at 9am!

Exclusive web items available for only 24 hours include:

  • Sil coaster
  • Second Doctor ‘Oh My Word’ Enamel Pin Badge
  • Fourth Doctor Celebration T-Shirt
  • War Doctor mug

Exclusive in-store only include:

  • Fourth Doctor TARDIS Key Enamel Keychain
  • Thirteenth Doctor & Yaz Celebration T-Shirt (previously Print on Demand only)
  • The Yeti T-Sshirt

    What about those who ordered online back in June the 4th Doctor Tardis Key Keychain still having to wait for their orders to be filled, when you are selling it in store, especially when no FP stores in Scotland anymore

    Hoping to collect the pins so will keep an eye on the site although the in-store 4th Doctor Keyring sounds nice! I see some of the exclusive MCM items have started to appear on Ebay. Apparently the 11th Doctor pin sold out in minutes.

      Hi,
      It was to be expected. Everything ends up on ebay, but don’t be fooled and buy from scalpers.

      Out of the sixteen exclusive MCM items I took for the weekend, eight sold out on their respective day.

      The exclusiveness of the MCM releases was that they were launched there and they will appear on the FP website and in-stores at a later date in 2023.

      We never said they were only ever going to be available at the convention, just that when they are sold out that’s it for stock at the con.

      The only thing we advertised is that every doctors product would be available for a limited time, not in limited quantities.

      @Jay that’s really good to know. Can u ask if I have missed number 3 in the collection as I haven’t seen anything advertised?

      Hi Jay,

      Thanks for clarifying Jay! That is really good to know but perhaps the MCM exclusive publicity suggested if they were sold out there you couldn’t get them again or maybe I just misread it at the time! I did succumb to the 11th Doctor pin on Ebay but didn’t pay too much over the price.

      Is it the same idea with store exclusives?That they will simply get their stock ahead of online stock?

      @A4geek
      #3 is the WANDERERS IN THE FOURTH DIMENSION T-Shirt.

      There will be a checklist coming soon, once I devise a way of listing everything without spoiling too much of what is to come 🙂

      @Doug Who
      Some store exclusives are just POD designs that have a limited store run in selected towns, but they are still available on the FP website.
      But the same dynamic applies as with MCM, in that if you miss an exclusive release you will have to wait until that Doctors month in 2023.

      Thanks Jay! Very helpful and really appreciate you taking the time to reply here.

      I haven’t been into the FP store we have here for well over a year so overdue a visit!

      Checklist would be great too…but spoilers! 🙂
