As someone who has never purchased one of these before, how big are the figurines?

Why, these newly uploaded pictures of the cover to Part 214 of the Doctor Who Figurine Collection with new photos of the Commander Skaak figurine are very nice.

Its the skin tone and the eyes. Something must be done about those eyes. And before you say it no i,m not talking about you Neil.

Hopefully Eaglemoss will do the new Sea Devil after spring, also Karvanista, Swarm, Azure & Passenger. Also the recent classic releases have been very good. Hopefully they’ll do some of the more obscure creatures like they did with the Navarino.

So am I the only one who thinks the head looks alright? Haha. I’ve certainly seen figurines with a much worse likeness to their character.

Usually the heads look bad but nobody agrees with me but this time everyone else is saying this one looks bad and I don’t agree with any of them XD

I’m not understanding the hate for this one. But then again the promo pictures always look better than the actual thing. They seem to do one perfect looking one and then the actual ones we end up with are completely different

They should have left the helmet on if they couldn’t do the head properly.

He looks like an 8-bit character from a game.

That angle is not flattering at all but you can’t deny it does actually look like the one from the episode, which is unusual nowadays, usually the likenesses of humanoid ish aliens are just never there anymore

I can deny. Its skaaks body armour. The head, whichever sontaran clone this is, you could have either way up if it was detachable like the spear in the impaled cyberman.

Eaglemoss faces usually are a bit hit and miss but if you put just the sontaran heads in a line up I’d be able to see that this one is supposed to be the series 13 version.

I’m hoping they do Swarm and Azure next. Such good characters but then inevitably wasted and ruined by their creator lord Chibbers

lets hope thats just a promo and not the actual figurine otherwise thats one i will be cancelling. It has no resemblance to skaak whatsoever. come to think of it he really should have been made a special, astride his horse in that iconic pose.

Not happy with this one. I think eaglemoss have a problem getting sontarans to look something like. Just cancelled. Love the kraal.

That’s the good thing ergon about not having a subscription, you don’t have to keep paying for the figurines your not happy with.
Just keep Cherry picking the best.

We all knew this was coming but they really need to do helmeted sontarans as well

Maybe they will stu but we want to see the most identifiable sontarans sans helmet first.

Well let it be Linx in his helmet – the previous bare headed linx is one of the worst classic figurines they produced.

      January 6th, 2022 - 4:55pm

Linx was one of those few occasions they didn,t get it right. I could say the same about the ogron. Maybe Eaglemoss could revise a few of those in miscellaeneous monster boxsets and at the same time shift some old stock.

I really liked the look of these new armoured sontarans. Its just a shame the whole Flux arc petered out as a big disappointment for me.
