This is the best thing CO has released all year!!!! 😀 This is a very wise choice for CO. I hope the 12th doctor in his actual outfit, Clara, and a series 7 Cybermen will be released in 5 inch too.

Can’t underground toys make the 5 inch figures and character options make 3.75 inch figures? Then it’s a win win all around!

if you believe what we read this is the end of it – going out with a very short but big bang

    • alexanderop

      June 21st, 2014 - 2:14pm

That would be a shame for them not to go out with at least the 12th doctor in his actual costume, so we will have all the doctors.

Bonobo when al dewar said it’s going out with a bang does he mean no more 5 figures completely or the furthist point for figures in the series for this scale?

Perhaps he means he is leaving CO and this is the last product he will have made (or whatever he does for the figures)?

    • alexanderop

      June 21st, 2014 - 4:23pm

I think I would be fine if they finished off with a 12th doctor in costume and Clara twin pack.

    • Dalekmus Prime

      June 21st, 2014 - 6:07pm

I think a good way of finishing off would be with a Series 7 set, with Clara, a Hedgewick’s World Cyberman, Grand Marshall Skaldak, and a Whisperman with a swappable Dr. Simion head. Just to finish off the Doctor’s first set of regenerations.

    • Dalekmus Prime

      June 21st, 2014 - 6:07pm

That is, the era of the adventures of the first “thirteen” Doctors.

Yeah but i am not happy about the colour of the coat!

    • Nicholas

      June 21st, 2014 - 2:22pm

The coat is the correct colour. It looks browner in the show because of lighting

    • Its Smaller Outside

      June 21st, 2014 - 2:30pm

I’d have thought it was two figures because one has a bow tie and the other doesn’t 😀

    • Dalekmus Prime

      June 21st, 2014 - 6:09pm

Looks like this is the case.

    • ahunter8056

      June 21st, 2014 - 8:22pm

No, it is just likely that the bow tie is removable. The description states that it includes one figure with two additional heads. The first two bullet points give that away.

    • booboo

      June 21st, 2014 - 8:25pm

the bullet points are based on the description and the picture (that’s our own wording )

the official description above the image does not even mention the 12th doctor

the shirt as also different so it cant just be a bow tie

that fact is we just don’t know

  • alexanderop

    June 21st, 2014 - 1:13pm

This is so incredible, over the moon at this. Anyone notice how the Capaldi likeness actually isn’t that far off from its 3.75 inch counterpart? I have mine here and it looks almost identical, even with the raised right eyebrow, but with lighter hair of course.
I wonder when it will go up for Pre-order, considering John Hurt went up for ages before his release. This’ll be released September right?

If handles is being released, a 5″ ‘New’ Cyberman is probably going to be released, If they’ve made handles they now have the sculpt for the head.

    June 21st, 2014 - 12:27pm

I think it will only be one body which comes with 3 heads, as the collars doesn’t meet like it would if someone were to wear a bow tie, which means that the bow tie can be removed and the shirt isn’t fully buttoned up for the 12th Doctor.

      June 21st, 2014 - 12:36pm

Look just above the button on the 12th and 11th doctors shirts, they’re differant. One has a crease while one is fully buttoned up. I think this means there will be 2 figures with an extra old matt head.

    • Anonymous

      June 21st, 2014 - 12:40pm

If it is one figure, which I think it is, it will probably have a Bracewell-like removable torso piece.

    • Nicholas

      June 21st, 2014 - 12:45pm

The coat makes it seem that it would be difficult to remove a torso piece

    • Handbot10

      June 21st, 2014 - 12:57pm

It will be 2 figures, 11th doctor and 12th doctor. There will be an old matt smith head that comes with it so you can swap heads.

    • ahunter8056

      June 21st, 2014 - 1:42pm

No, it is definitely only one figure, with two additional heads.

If you read the description, it states:
      “- 12th Doctor
      – Young and “aged” 11th Doctor heads”

Therefore, that would mean that it is only one figure, with 2 additional heads, and presumably a removable bowtie.

    • Explosive Cookie

      June 21st, 2014 - 4:37pm

Well if the bowtie is removable, how would the shirt become creased like on the capaldi figure, as it is not on the Smith figure. If It is something like the Bracewell waistcoat panel surely they would of put “Interchangable collar pieces” in the accessories list. I still think it will be 2 figures.

    • ahunter8056

      June 21st, 2014 - 8:24pm

Well that is a fair point, and that is something that I did not notice up until now. Either way, the description states that it comes with one figure, and two additional heads. We’ll just have to wait and see for clear details. My bet is still only one figure and two heads, in order to save money.

  • Jdog

    June 21st, 2014 - 12:05pm

Well it’s nice to see that hope is not lost in new figures, and now we have this there will have to be a Series 8 Twelth Doctor figure.

Theres more of a chance of it being released now! BooBoo, do you think they will release a 5″ Capaldi in Costume? & do you think they will release more one off 5″ Figures? 😀

  • Nicholas

    June 21st, 2014 - 11:38am

This is why I don’t mind the change to the 3.75″ line. It means they have more time to spend perfecting 2 or 3, 5″ figures instead of giving us a half decent job on 7 or 8.

Updated Flight Control TARDIS, Clara and Costumed Capaldi (inevitable now) next, please 😀

It must be 2 figures, it’d be really hard to make a removable bow tie and open shirt on a action figure.

5″ Clara -preferably from day of the doctor
New cybie – they could reuse the handles head
    ice warrior -possibly removable helmet
Zygon- maybe with the gallerfrey falls no more painting
    12th doc in his costume
10th doc in with more articulation!!!!
    Kate Stewart
The moment interface / bad wolf girl

And then I will be sooooo happy!!!
