Doctor Who: The Empty House Audio CD

Doctor Who: The Empty House

Doctor Who: The Empty House is an exciting audio exclusive adventure for the 11th Doctor (as played by Matt Smith) and his companions Amy and Rory.

When the TARDIS materialises in rural England in the 1920s, the Doctor and his friends discover a crashed spaceship nearby.

It’s the beginning of a nightmarish adventure for them.

The story is read by Raquel Cassidy, who played Miranda Cleaves in the TV story The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People, with original sound design.

Due for release on 06/09/2012

I can not believe that this is yet another audiobook read by raquel cassidy, her voice is fine, but it should really be read by one of the three main cast like arthur darvill read day of the cockroach, ring of steel and matt smith read the jade pyramid and the runaway train.

AudioGo like to release as many original audio books as possible to give fans as much Who as possible (and also to make money). The shooting schedules of Doctor Who are relentless while in production so it becomes hard to get one of the regulars. It may only be an hour long story but that can easily be two days of recording. With late 2013 seeing a run of specials rather than a series, I suspect Matt will have time to do an audiobook are two and so will Jenna most likely.

I agree but I only buy the ones with the regular cast.

Which reminds me, I don’t think Matt Smith has done an audio commentary for ANY of his stories on DVD, has he ? ❓

Is this going to be in any way similar to the Sherlock Holmes story, or is it just the same name?
