Doctor Who The 8th Doctor Electroplated Sonic Screwdriver

Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com

The Eighth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver continued its long legacy as a multi-purpose tool for accessing panels, locks, and controls.

As an extension of the TARDIS itself, each Doctor has upgraded the device with added features such as sound-wave locking, micro-soldering, and electronic disruption. Activation methods have included buttons, triggers, emitter extension, touch, and voice.

The Eighth Doctor inherited his sonic directly from his predecessor who had literally last used it to lock the Master’s funeral ‘casket’ for its final trip to Gallifrey. It would go on to be used by the Eighth Doctor many times on many more adventures.

This limited-edition release features an electroplated metalized finish with the Eighth Doctors distinctive copper band around the mid-section of the handle.

It includes 4 ‘classic’ sound effects, each with a different trigger sequence activated by pressing the small activation button on the rear.

This set is a real opportunity to add something truly special to your Doctor Who collection and will surprise and delight fans and collectors alike with its detail and uniqueness

Like any websites based in Ireland for example? Please help me. Import fees are expensive

I don’t know if CM Mike will see this, but did your online shop used to be “CM Gifts and collectibles?” If so, that’s made me feel very nostalgic. I remember using your site to order a few Doctor who figures back when series 4 and the Gelth phantom wave were releasing. I persuaded my Dad to let me order some when you were the only place we could find some of the figures.
Fantastic to see you still trading if so!

Lol Thank you. And Im glad you no longer need permission from an appropriate adult although sometimes its not a bad thing. I appreciate you wanting to buy again, 8th and Masters all on order. I imagine same sort of date for September and October for each release.

Feel free to pop us a message via the site.

There’s already a review of one on YouTube by Same Sonic. Looks pretty good, shame about the sounds and that it doesn’t collapse though.

Al Dewar has mentioned that he pitched one for 2027 but the fact he’s talking about it now should probably tell you how that went. They’ve got a finite budget, and not everything gets the go ahead.

Still not collapsible then – the main design feature of 7/8’s sonic…

It might just be me but both the 5th and the 8th sonics look just like the one that was in the 3rd Doctors Vortex Set but without the coloured section. I wonder if they have the same sound effects.
