Cully’s Pal
July 10th, 2025 - 1:51pmA series that’s not had an equal for a very long time.
PJ
July 10th, 2025 - 7:22pmSeason 14 perhaps but yeah this is my favourite with the incredible 4th Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith although they both appeared together in the first two Season 14 stories as well her leaving scene in The Hand Of Fear was and still is so emotional to watch
Duncan
July 13th, 2025 - 8:55amI’m a sucker for stories with Tom and Liz exploring the British countryside! Can’t wait for this, even if I know all six stories like the back of my hand.
Hoping for the last Pertwee & Davo boxes ASAP. It will be great having the complete 80s Who, and with Jon being “my Doctor “, the complete run of Third Doctor stories will make me very happy:)

But do we have the full disc breakdown as yet?

July 9th, 2025 - 11:21pmMark strickson did an interview for culturescape on YouTube. I recommend it as it actually goes into a lot of his non who work with national geographic, steve Irwin and as a producer on rich house poor house etc. He didnt mention any collection filming but he did say he was coming over recording 4 big finish stories in September/October time which means he is a) over and b) working. It also does line up with what I heard about him filming for the collection sets in September though this does not confirm it
The ergon
July 10th, 2025 - 9:40amHe said a lot of the same things in his Q and A when he was over briefly for valiant 23 and on the bluray. He did say he would love to return as Turlough so hopefully they get him involved in the season 21 trailer.
Prof Horner
July 9th, 2025 - 11:41amSo in what order would you put the stories of season 13 .
The Seeds of Doom
Pyramids of Mars
Terror of the Zygons
Planet of Evil
Invasion of the Andriods
Brain of Morbius.
The top three are interchangeable for me depending on my mood and Planet of Evil is only so low because the top three are so good.
I have never cared for Brain of Morbius, even on it’s first transmission .
Snowman
July 9th, 2025 - 12:10pmWow Prof Horner, I literally thought it was only me that Wasnt a Fan of the Brain of Morbius. I don’t Mind the Story as Such it’s just the Design of the Morbius Monster I think is Bad.
I clearly remember as a Young Lad Watching this Episode First Airing. I Literally had Tears Rolling Down my Cheeks from Laughing that much.
To Say With most Dr Who Villains back then the Children should be Hiding behind the Sofa in Terror!
I don’t think this Monster hit the Mark with me. LOL.
Prowl1701
July 9th, 2025 - 3:45pmI do like Brain of Morbius, but find it a little overrated. My order is
Pyramids if Mars
Seeds of Doom
Planet of Evil (it’s underrated)
Terror of the zygons
The Brain of Morbius
The Android invasion
Snowman
July 9th, 2025 - 5:00pmI love the Android Invasion Prowl1701.
I remember Watching it again about a Year ago on my DVD and still Thoroughly enjoyed it. I was Re-Watching all the Black and white Episodes from the 1st Two Doctors. I Watched them in Order over a few Months and When I had Watched all those I remember Re-Watching a Few of Toms Stories and most Of Sylvesters. The Android Invasion might be the Top of my List from this Season.
Craig F
July 9th, 2025 - 5:59pmIt’s a tough one Prof
I can only say that the android invasion & planet of evil are my least favourites of the season.
Amypondfan
July 9th, 2025 - 6:15pmSeeds is great but all the amelia ducart sequences are redundant. Hinchcliffe removed them from his novelisation and it helped tighten the story up.
Zygons
Pyramids
Evil
Brain
Seeds
Android
Gordon
July 9th, 2025 - 6:38pmSeeds of doom
Pyramid of mars
Terror of the zygons
Planet of evil
Brain of morbius
The android invasion
And I don’t even dislike android invasion
Matt Y
July 9th, 2025 - 7:24pmAll the stories are great.
Zygons
Brain
Pyramids
Android
Seeds
Planet
Amypondfan
July 9th, 2025 - 9:07pmSame here Gordon, I like them all.
Gareth
July 9th, 2025 - 9:48pmIn contrast, Brain of Morbius is my favourite S13 story in a very, very strong season of the show. Actually feel the design and aesthetic of the episodes is very strong. Barry Newbury’s design of Solon’s castle is inspired and love the look of the Morbius Monster. The script deftly balances the grotesque with some deliciously mordant humour. It’s probably my most watched episode of the classic series.
I would say Android comes in last ( but by no means least) for me.
Then it might be:
Zygons
Planet
Pyramids
Seeds
I say “might ” as the above are interchangeable in my affections. But I would agree that Planet of Evil is somewhat underrated. That one’s a 9 out of 10 for me.
Tom Williams
July 9th, 2025 - 10:24pmOut of the only two i watched so far as sadly new with season 13 oppps my top is defo the pyramids and the second so far which i watched Monday was planet especially but hope too give my opinion on the rest after i watched the full season my only top out off the ones i watched from every season was off course remembrance off the daleks
Prowl 1701
July 10th, 2025 - 4:54am@snowman, android invasion might be at the bottom of my list, but it is still great, such a strong season. I have two or three nitpicks, but still really like it.
Auton
July 10th, 2025 - 7:39amThis order will probably change when I rewatch this season:
The Seeds of Doom
Pyramids of Mars
Terror of the Zygons
The Brain of Morbius
The Android Invasion
Planet of Evil
Duncan
July 10th, 2025 - 8:12amThat’s difficult! Morbius would be last. Not too keen on that one. The other five ….. I’d probably rate them all as best with Brain bringing up the rear. Planet and Android are two of my all time favourites
Erato
July 10th, 2025 - 8:56amThe Brain of Morbius is hilarious. Stuart Fell doesn’t get nearly enough credit for his body language and mannerisms as the Morbius monster.
Missyrules
July 10th, 2025 - 9:36amI enjoy androids but every time I watch it I wonder did crayford never wash his facecor look in a mirror!
Missyrules
July 10th, 2025 - 9:38amI think pyramids is my favourite followed by evil and zygons and the rest are about equal.
Missyrules
July 10th, 2025 - 12:05pmNot sure if I posted this as it hasn’t turned yet.
I like android invasion but I always laugh when crayford realises the truth. I do wonder if he never washed his face or looked in a mirror when shaving!
Snowman
July 10th, 2025 - 1:14pmAh, Prowl 1701, I’m Glad to know you really like the Android Invasion, with it being at the Bottom of your list I got the impression you didn’t like it much.
it is a Great Story.
Lee
July 11th, 2025 - 4:16amMy Order would be:
The Mummy
Frankenstein
The Lost World
Invasion Of The Body Snatchers
The Thing From Another World
Jekyll and Hyde
😉
I just love the way the season 13 stories have their roots in classic horror, best season of Who ever!
Doc3Pertwee
July 11th, 2025 - 2:10pmMy personal order of preference is:
Pyramids of Mars
The Seeds of Doom
Terror of the Zygons
The Brain of Morbius
The Android Invasion
Planet of Evil
Dalek Eye Stalk
July 12th, 2025 - 5:39am1) Pyramids of Mars
2) Terror of the Zygons
3) The Brain of Morbius
4) The Seeds of Doom
5) The Android Invasion
6) Planet of Evil
Duncan
July 12th, 2025 - 9:21amRe Crayford’s missing eye, I took it to mean that if the Kraals science and technology was so powerful and advanced they can recreate an entire English village and surrounding countryside, then brainwashing a desperate man to not notice he only has one eye would be a walk in the park. They clearly had been experimenting on Crayford.
Nb7
July 9th, 2025 - 9:48amJust wandering what everyone’s thoughts are on the remastering/ai wax look?
Ive always been ok with it but I’m thinking I’m not sure how I feel now. It seems more noticeable in shots that are close ups. If it’s a long wide shot it looks really nice.
This all started with The Beatles Get Back and again the same scenario, looks waxy on close ups.
Along the passage of time it may be fine just as the vid fired made everything look nicer and the greens greener.
It’s also worth noting that the waxy look is starting to look like the artwork which has a waxy look to it.
Seeing people’s freeze framing this recent trailer and it’s very noticeable but in all honesty when the trailer plays it doesn’t look that bad. I don’t think so anyway. I can live with it I think. It’s very very unlikely these stories will be released again and certainly won’t be reissued again de-mastered.
Elliot
July 9th, 2025 - 10:58amIt sounds like it’s only the YouTube trailer looks like that and actual blu ray doesn’t have wax look.
Elliot
July 9th, 2025 - 11:01amPeter Crocker, who worked on the remaster
“That’s not representative of the master. There’s a total absence of grain which is present on what I delivered, while the DVD shows mpeg-2 compression of analogue noise. I believe the trailer went through at least 2 consecutive mp4 compressions and YouTube compresses further.”
Rory
July 9th, 2025 - 11:15amThe YouTube trailers are always heavily compressed, so I don’t see them as in any way representative of the actual Blu-Ray quality.
Gordon
July 9th, 2025 - 1:27pmIt’s the Same discourse as the last couple of releases.
Trailer hits: its been over dnr’d and waxy
Disc release: bar a couple of people there is very little said about it
Rinse repeat the next release
Walter Hardback
July 9th, 2025 - 4:54pmMr Crocker’s always turned up the noise reduction way too high for my liking, going back to work he did for Simply HE, but it’s good to know that even he thinks the trailer is too much. Shame he didn’t feel like that when he did the Hartnell set. (At least its selling out meant I got my money back when I sold it, so no burnt fingers for pre-ordering that time.)

July 6th, 2025 - 8:50pmSarah Jane Smith is the greatest companion ever who agrees?
Basil Funkenstein
July 7th, 2025 - 4:24amShe’s definitely top 5 at minimum.
For me it goes:
10. Donna Noble and Wilfred Mott.
9. Bill Potts and Nardole.
8. Ian and Barbara.
7. Professor River Song/Melody Pond.
6. Amy Pond and Rory Williams.
5. Nyssa.
4. Clara Oswald.
3. Leela and K-9.
2. Romana 1 and 2.
1. Sarah-Jane Smith.
JRT!
July 7th, 2025 - 4:36amFor me it’s Rose,K-9,and Ace. But I like all of’em,but love those three,lol.

July 7th, 2025 - 8:57amThe Doctor and Jamie pairing has to be one of the best – Possibly the best rapport they’ve ever had on the show.

July 7th, 2025 - 11:14amYes. 100%.

July 7th, 2025 - 12:38pmShe’s definitely in contention for it. There is definitely others that I’d put in the conversation like ace jo romana rose and Jamie.

July 7th, 2025 - 2:36pmNo, I would say Peri, Tegan or Clara in the Running for Greatest Ever Companion.

July 7th, 2025 - 3:17pmPeri for me if we are choosing because we had an almighty crush but Sarah jane does take some beating as top companion. A lot of Polls agree.

July 7th, 2025 - 5:18pmBest companion is such a personal choice, there is no definitive answer as everyone’s opinion is right for them. Sarah Jane was my first companion alongside harry so they are a pairing I’ve always loved but Barbara and Ian, any of the second doctor teams, the unit team, nyssa, peri, ace is another favourite. Then into new who where Amy and rory, Clara, river, yaz and ruby are characters I love. Amy and Clara are still my favourites of new who though.

July 7th, 2025 - 9:09pmShe was a lovely woman, met her a few times in the past at conventions.
Also her daughter Sadie too wearing the hand of fear outfit.

July 8th, 2025 - 11:19amI expect you’ll get very different views on that, its a very personal thing to decide “who is best”
For me, I loved Sarah Jane, Jo Grant too
I like Zoe a lot, Ace too
For the modern era, many people usually vote for Rose and I don’t disagree there, but for me its Donna
Absolutely incredible character, no love story or interest – just mates travelling and having fun
You just want – too .. mate
Not with me sunshine
Amazing
Duncan
July 8th, 2025 - 11:38amShe’s definitely one of my favourites but I’m also very fond of Tegan and Nyssa. I wish the latter had stayed a little longer.
Love Graham too. I’d rather have had Graham and Grace with 13 than the two kids. Having a middle-aged couple travelling around with the Doctor would have been an interesting dynamic imho.
Neill Stringer
July 8th, 2025 - 8:28pmI sometimes think Rose has become over rated, don’t get me wrong I like the character but I felt she was better with the Ninth Doctor than the Tenth. She got too selfish and a bit whiney when she became more ‘in love’ with the Doctor.
I do prefer the more paternal relationship the Doctor had with companions. Ace and Romana were two companions I loved, Jamie was great fun with the Second Doctor.
Auton
July 8th, 2025 - 10:48pmBest Tardis teams from each Doctor:
Steven and Vicki
Jamie and Zoe
Jo (Jo works well with 3 but Liz is probably the better companion)
Romana 2 and K9
Nyssa and Tegan
Peri
Ace
Rose and Jack
Donna (Martha is very underrated IMO)
Amy and Rory
Bill and Nardole
No favourite Tardis team for 13 but Graham is the best of the companions

July 8th, 2025 - 11:32pmI think the doctor and companion dynamic can really hamper people’s people’s opinion. Rose season 2 did certainly have an effect on people’s opinion. Martha was a companion that would have been better companion if 10 hadn’t treated her poorly in my opinion.

July 9th, 2025 - 12:21pmI Always Liked Martha, Gordon, I Thought Freeman Aggeyman was a Good Actress. I used to like Watching her in Uk Law and Order. (Which Featured Bradley as well).

8. Liz Shaw.
7. Jo and UNIT.

July 5th, 2025 - 10:30pmForgot to post this:
The runtime of Chris chapman’s 2 documentaries are:
WORLDS WITHIN: THE LIFE OF IAN MARTER (77mins), tells Ian’s story in the words of his family, colleagues and friends.
RETURN TO THIRTEEN (57mins) sees Hinchcliffe & Hadoke on a mad roadtrip around S13’s greatest hits!

July 6th, 2025 - 12:34amAlso Toby hadoke has said he recorded in December 2021
3 episodes of terror of the zygons
2 episodes of pyramid of mars
2 episodes of android invasion
Amazing to think these are probably going to be the last new Commentaries featuring Tom. He’s already done commentaries for season 16 already back in the dvd era with Mary Tamm so I don’t think he’d do new ones.
Gordon
July 6th, 2025 - 8:46amSpeaking of season 16 Mike tucker was asking on faceboook if anybody knows the whereabouts of the kroll monster since it was auctioned off. It’s probably for the making of. We know 16 is coming in the next 18 months so not a surprise.

July 7th, 2025 - 4:09amI am hoping BEYOND hope that the release order after Season 13 is 21, 16, and 11 and then I am happy with whatever sets we get in whatever order after those.
It’d be fantastic to have all of Classic Who in colour complete. I hope with 21 being Peter’s last season, 16 being Tom’s last season, and 11 being Jon’s last season respectively that they pack ALL of these boxsets with as much material as possible.
I’m reallyyyyyyy looking forward to seeing the covers Lee has in mind for the remaining boxsets, even the B&W seasons.
All in all I’m still beyond excited for the… 8, possibly 9 if they hopefully do a Wilderness Years, sets left to go to complete Classic Who on blu-ray.
Basil Funkenstein
July 7th, 2025 - 4:14amIt’s incredible to think and really understand and realise that we are only 8 or 9 sets away from finishing this collection. To me it feels like only yesterday that I got my first boxset. It was season 18 and I got 19 as a Christmas present. I missed out on the first run of Season 12 so had to wait for the 2nd edition re-release.
Still feels like the collection is just hitting its’ stride tbh. Is incredible to think that we got seasons 7 and 13 of Classic Who on blu-ray in the same year! Two of the most widely regarded seasons in Who history. What an incredibly lucky bunch Classic Doctor Who fans are.
Prowl 1701
July 7th, 2025 - 5:21amIt’s crazy to see so many seasons on the shelf now. Only one more tom set to go and his era will be complete.
Barney
July 7th, 2025 - 7:16amI reckon they’ll do 21 next then 11 then 16, just rhink they’ll mix the doctors up as much as they can with whats left in colour. Then that gives the animation team a good head start to finish any one of the bw seasons. Crossing my fingers.
Prof Horner
July 7th, 2025 - 9:39amI was underwhelmed by last year’s releases . Well put together, great artwork and some great extras, particularly the Graeme Williams doc . But not the best seasons (yes I know a lot on this site love season 25 but not for me , each to their own) but this year it’s A grade Who and quite possibly the two greatest seasons of in the series history.
Hopefully we won’t have wait too long for season 13. Maybe September 1, two days after the 50 years since the first episode was transmitted.
Lewis James
July 8th, 2025 - 4:37pmJust realised we have 2 regenerations to come, Jon & Peter. It’s a shame Colin’s last appearance on blu ray is going to be one of his least popular stories, twin dilemma. I’m hoping it will be both Peter & Colin on behind the sofa for 21 as they both appear in the season.
master
July 8th, 2025 - 5:07pmOne things for certain with Season 21, theres no way they can get around updating that Myrrka with regards to updated effects as most of those pivotal scenes contain regular or guest cast members. So we are stuck with the pantomine horse and sea devils with a lopsided congenital weakness.
Resurrection of the daleks or Frontios seem the obvious candidates to get the CG treatment. I hope they update The Twin dilemma and also transfer the special edition effects of Planet of Fire over to the four parter, or redux as they did with enlightenment.
Gordon
July 9th, 2025 - 12:06amI don’t think new effects for warriors are impossible but it would be expensive and time consuming.
I think resurrection would be the most likely one.
Frontios is a possibility but I’m not sure new effects are really going to improve things. The current effects are ok but not special
The only thing could be done for caves is the magma beast.
I find twin dilemma entertaining. Yes I know it’s bad but it’s still entertaining. Not sure if adding new effects save this story
I doubt the planet of fire omnibus effects will get transferred to the transmitted version. The enlightenment effects weren’t. The optional effects on the blu ray were newly produced for that set. Plus there is about 30 minutes of footage that would need new effects. Let’s not forget that new effects are in widescreen and filmised. To top it off the omnibus effects were extremely poorly received. For me it’s by far the worst of the new effects. If the episodic version is getting optional effects I suspect it will be new ones
Prowl 1701
July 9th, 2025 - 3:51amI definitely want Resurrection to be the season 21 story that gets updated effects, it really needs them, even more than Invasion of the Dinosaurs for me personally.
daz
July 9th, 2025 - 10:11amFor Warriors it would benefit from simply regrading the lighter scenes making them darker maybe?
Erato
July 9th, 2025 - 10:53amSomeone has already done an updated SFX video on YouTube for Resurrection of the Daleks. It’s really good.
Master
July 13th, 2025 - 8:54amI would still like to see updated effects for planet of fires 4 parter.
Caves they could add new CG to the firing squad scenes, the circular model shots, the androids POV of the doctors internal organs, the mudburst (but still holds uo well) and a enhanced regeneration sequence. The magma beast i dont have a problem with really. Maybe darken those scenes.
Bill Silver
July 5th, 2025 - 10:30amCGI Skarasen incoming?
Gordon
July 5th, 2025 - 1:41pmNot necessarily. Chris Thompson who did the rutan for fang rock is doing something for this set. It could be a mix of model and cgi effects

July 5th, 2025 - 5:38pmWell they did restore the original prop as part of the set project
PJ
July 5th, 2025 - 8:56pmThe prop is really beautiful I would love to buy it if that was possible

July 5th, 2025 - 9:42pmRichard bignell said It was just the hand puppet prop that was restored and that was just used for closeup ups.
Plus he also said the actual prop used for the stop motion is 50 years old. “After 50 years, the thing is very fragile and composed of crumbling foam rubber and latex. There’s no way that it would ever be used for such a shoot.”
Also it wasn’t restored for this set. It was just a happy accident that Neil Cole was restoring it for his museum at the same time as season 13 extras were being prepared.

July 5th, 2025 - 10:25amLoads available everywhere – these are no longer limited edition are they in all seriousness??
Snowman
July 5th, 2025 - 11:31amI think there Limited Edition in that they Print One Run and when there Gone there Gone. The Standard Editions are here for years because they keep reprinting them?
Gordon
July 5th, 2025 - 1:27pmIt’s the packaging that’s limited not the discs. There is only a certain number of copies available to preorder at launch to gage the preorder numbers. They then alter according

July 5th, 2025 - 8:59amWhy is it that the new Doctor Who Blu-Ray pre-orders don’t turn up in search on U.S. Amazon and you need a direct link to find them? This happens every time a new Collection set is announced.
WhoWhenWhere?
July 6th, 2025 - 6:38amIt’s the same with Amazon UK. No idea why. You’d think they’d want as many orders as possible, wouldn’t you?
Gordon
July 4th, 2025 - 11:43pmjust to reassure most places will probably get more stock in. If your favourite retailer sold their original allocation 24 hours after preorder it does not mean that’s it. The retailers need to ask for more stock first before putting the preorders back on sale. It only went on sale yesterday. Plenty of time for bbc studios to increase the number of copies needed before release to fulfil demand. I don’t think the final discs have been produced or the packaging either. There is definitely time to increase the number made

July 5th, 2025 - 1:15amHi Gordon, do you think S13 will be out in Sept or October? Thanks
Gordon
July 5th, 2025 - 1:43amI’m guessing mid September.

July 4th, 2025 - 10:21pmRegarding the Brain of Morbius omnibus repeat, I thought they would of gone for the VHS edit instead.
Of course both versions could be included but there is very little difference between the two.

July 4th, 2025 - 9:31pmI’m so excited to finally have this season coming, I pre-ordered faster than Barry Allen. Looking forward to seeing the new effects on Zygons and watching the recreation of the 70’s omnibus of Pyramids.

July 4th, 2025 - 5:49pmA little bit too late for me, as I’ve already ordered a copy on Rarewaves. Plus, it was a bit cheaper on Rarewaves with the discount code.

July 4th, 2025 - 2:34pmI did leave a comment thats awaiting moderation. Not sure if it glitched?
Prof Horner
July 4th, 2025 - 2:40pmWell I have had several today which haven’t appeared today Basil. Maybe they don’t like the company I have bought this set off . See if this post appears.
booboo
July 4th, 2025 - 2:44pmOn the contrary, they dont like us, and that’s and end to it i will go into it no further.

July 4th, 2025 - 3:11pmSame as i posted about paying for it but noticed my comment was removed especially two sites are currently sold out
Things That Go Bump In The Night
July 4th, 2025 - 2:17pmApologies to this site, but since Amazon is showing ‘unavailable’ and Zavvi is saying ‘sold out’, I’ve ordered from nipper… who still seems to be taking pre-orders as of the timing of this post…
Even ordering from the dog failed yesterday evening, but I got the order in today (13:45 4th July)
Maybe the flea bay scalpers know this set will be very popular so have mass-ordered dozens of copies?
PJ
July 4th, 2025 - 2:50pmIT WAS THE QUICKEST PRE ORDER IVE EVER MADE AS I HAD A SUSPICION THIS SET WOULD SELL OUT ALMOST INSTANTLY AS ITS THE GOAT AND I WAS RIGHT I DID MINE WITH AMAZON
Anonymous
July 4th, 2025 - 3:41pmThis happens EVERY time a new set is announced. They’ll be back for pre-order soon. I’m sure they’ll still be available after release date, as usual.
However, even if initial estimations have been exceeded (which I doubt), they’ll expand the numbers produced while no release date has been announced. They’ve learned their lesson since the Season 12 debacle.

July 4th, 2025 - 2:14pmHi guys,
Does anyone know if Amazon UK will get any more sets for release?
I have every single limited edition set so far but would be absolutely gutted if I missed my favourite season in the collection.
PJ
July 4th, 2025 - 2:58pmDOUBT IT THINK A LOT OF RETAILERS DID NOT REALISE HOW SPECIAL AND MOMENTOUS THIS SEASON IS SO GLAD I GOT A COPY PREORDERED FROM AMAZON LITERALLY THE SECOND I SAW THE PHOTOS
Anon
July 4th, 2025 - 3:05pmThis happens a lot on Amazon, its entirely possible they will get more.
Tom Williams
July 4th, 2025 - 3:14pmNot true actually as normally like i remember with season 25 it was sold out of a few sites but they eventually got stock back in its only due too high demand like ebay scalpers etc
daz
July 4th, 2025 - 4:48pmOf course they will. It’s just taking them a while to put up their second allocation.
It takes ages for limited editions to sell out now. Although this one will prove very popular.
Tom Williams
July 4th, 2025 - 5:17pm@daz couldn’t agree more especially they always now realise the standard ones which helps build up the numbers unlike when season 12 first came out

July 4th, 2025 - 1:50pmI hope they correct some of those rubbish edits on the special edition of Pyramids of Mars.
WhoWhenWhere?
July 4th, 2025 - 1:26pmWhy isn’t this available to pre-order on Amazon?! There’s always some issue when these are announced! Get it together, people!
booboo
July 4th, 2025 - 1:39pmIt was, they sold out of their 1st allocation very quickly and are taking ages to update, this is happing more and more with them

July 4th, 2025 - 1:41pmI used Zavvi to Order from Yesterday. I Usually Use Amazon but just lost my Patience with them Yesterday if I’m Honest.

July 4th, 2025 - 1:46pmBooboo, Have you any updates on the Jon pertwee Vinyl Collection. Has Anyone Reported Getting a Copy Yet?
According to Amazon it’s Released 4th of July (Today).
But My Accounts been Updated to say it’s shipping Monday?
booboo
July 4th, 2025 - 2:11pmSome have been sent out for sure but not that many, i think it spends on when the distribution centre in your area gets them.
I have recently moved house and get no amazon deliveries on a Saturday or Sunday for example but got deliveries both days where i used to live.
Snowman
July 4th, 2025 - 2:19pmYeah Booboo. Typical Amazon, I’ve had the Vinyl Collection on Order for weeks and Weeks (Since it was put up on your Site). But they can’t Ship Mine While Monday.
I’ve just been on there Site and it says “In Stock” and if you just Randomly Order it in the Next 8 Hours you can have it Delivered Tomorrow?
Not Sure how that Works but it’s happening more and More with Amazon. LOL.
Darren Jarvis
July 5th, 2025 - 2:42pmProbably Oct time

July 6th, 2025 - 2:53pmMy Jon Pertwee Vinyl Collection Just came Ten Minutes ago. Wasn’t Expecting a Delivery this Sunday. As I Mentioned before my Account said shipping Monday. A Lovely Surprise, a Great Collectors Piece in hand.

July 4th, 2025 - 11:39amRarewaves are efficient but they aren’t the cheapest. They are a viable alternative thought.

July 4th, 2025 - 1:53pmOrdered mine yesterday through them .. my first time using them

July 4th, 2025 - 11:06amNow sold out from Zavvi!

July 4th, 2025 - 2:54pmTHIS SET HAS ALREADY BROKEN RECORDS AND ITS ONLY BEEN 24 HOURS SO GLAD I QUICKLY PREORDERED MINE WITH AMAZON BEFORE THEY RAN OUT WAS NOT GOING TO MISS THE SEASON IVE BEEN WAITING FOR

July 4th, 2025 - 10:34amI’ve just preordered my copy from Rarewaves (which I’ve never done before), because the set is still listed as unavailable on Amazon and Zavvi says it’s sold out too.
Rory
July 4th, 2025 - 10:55amSame. I was about to order from Zavvi, refreshed the page and it went to Sold Out. Wonder if this might be the first in a while to actually sell out.
K-9stein
July 4th, 2025 - 11:23amI’ve never none a Collection set to sell out quite so quickly. I’m almost wondering if there are AI bots or something at work.
Rory
July 4th, 2025 - 11:41amIt might just be that Amazon and Zavvi didn’t anticipate the number of orders they’d get and based their ordering off the last few Collection sets. Having sold out of their allocation, they’ll be able to reorder if BBC have not allocated everything already.
Morrid
July 4th, 2025 - 11:48amJust ordered from Rarewaves too.
First time buying from them due to missing out on Amazon and Zavvi and didn’t want to take the risk of it not reappearing on Amazon and Zavvi.
Hoping their packaging is good.
Such a good season and one benefit of now being an old git is having had TB as “my doctor”. Planet of Evil doesn’t get mentioned quite as much as other stories in the Season do but I love it and can still recall the absolute terror my six years old self felt watching it on it’s original transmission. Can’t wait for this!
Alan Silvester
July 4th, 2025 - 11:54amI’m not taking a chance while Amazon sort out their listing. I’ve ordered from rarewaves – there’s a 10% discount code and free p&p. Certainly think there’s a huge demand for this, and I don’t want to miss out.
I’m Batman
July 4th, 2025 - 12:39pmSame. Just caved and didn’t wait for Amazon. Let’s hope all is well.
Craig axtell
July 4th, 2025 - 1:13pmDo rare waves take the payment when dispatched the item.
Julian Harrild
July 4th, 2025 - 1:34pmMe too! First time ordered here! OOS Amazon. Raewaves do international shipping too!
Rory
July 4th, 2025 - 2:20pm@Craig axtell, I had it taken at time of ordering, so it’s payment up front and not at time of dispatch.
I’m Batman
July 4th, 2025 - 9:52amStill not available on Amazon frustratingly.

July 4th, 2025 - 2:55pmTHINK ITS GONE ALREADY THANKFULLY I HAVE SECURED ONE

July 4th, 2025 - 9:50amDo we know who is in the escape room this time?
David McCallum
July 4th, 2025 - 10:13amI think it is Matthew Waterhouse, Michael E Briant & Toby Hadoke
Duncan
July 4th, 2025 - 11:49amToby Hadoke ????? Why ??
Amypondfan
July 4th, 2025 - 3:09pmProbably because they both know him through the documentaries he does. The first doctor one featured lisa barrowman who they knew from her directing big finish audios but she has nothing to do with the first doctor era, it’s not a big deal.
Gordon
July 4th, 2025 - 11:56pmHe also did a couple of fourth doctor big finish releases.
Gordon
July 5th, 2025 - 2:24amPlus who could you have gotten? Tom is unlikely to do it with his age, lalla is the other side of the world and probably wouldn’t be up for that sort of thing. Not sure if John is able either. Louise is quite busy. Janet and Sarah are on the fifth doctor one. Do you really see Philip hinchcliffe doing this either?
Tegan’s distant cousin
July 4th, 2025 - 4:44amI’m in Australia and I can recommend ordering through Rarewaves. I’ve bought a range of things through them in the past – including previous Collection sets – and it’s always been a good experience. Nothing has arrived damaged and one item recently was later than usual, but that’s it.
They also listed this new set and had it on sale before any announcements so it was fun ordering it yesterday about 15 minutes before it had been officially listed as such!
