The limited-edition version boasts an exclusive ‘electro plated’ finish making it look like real polished steel and brass. It also boasts two modes of operation, Open and Closed, as well as five brand new and totally unique sound and light effects, with each accessed by a different button sequence. The Sonic comes in Regeneration style packaging with a sturdy mailer box.
Ensuring all fans have the chance to own this special piece, Character Options is delighted to confirm the latest Online Exclusive and for this Anniversary year, is this very same Special Edition of the Fourteenth Doctor’s new sonic device and is available for sale and immediate delivery now.

Doesn’t this imply the standard edition won’t be able to switch between open and closed mode? Would be good to get clarity on that, because I’ve heard conflicting things from different people.

so yes, a brand new one is a big deal.

July 20th, 2023 - 10:47amI get that but it’s kind of a given at this point that each new Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver would get toyetified by Character… I guess I was hoping for a Fifteenth Doctor figure reveal or something like that. Or maybe CO finally doing Dan Lewis and Nardole as figures to fill those gaps in the Companion lines since they’ve been MIA for a while now. Or maybe a Dawhan Master or Michael Jayston’s Valeyard Doctor or something like that. Sorry if it comes off a bit demanding but there’s nothing wrong with wish-listing right?

Good news is they clearly have been given much better access now and can produce stuff well in advance as this sonic proves.
I have no doubt a 15th Doctor will arrive as soon as appropriate, wouldn’t surprise me if its not already done and dusted.
