Doctor Who Series 7 Part 2 (Blu-Ray)

dvdbr-series-7-bDoctor Who Series 7 Part 2 (Blu-Ray)

Release date: 20/05/2013

Dust off your bow ties (bow ties ARE cool) and get ready to witness the official introduction of the Doctor’s new companion, Clara Oswald, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman in the opening episode entitled “The Bells of St John”, written by Steven Moffat. Set in London and featuring iconic landmarks like The Shard and Westminster Bridge, the Doctor has to battle a new enemy, the Spoonheads as he discovers that something sinister is lurking in the Wi-Fi.

Doctor Who Series 7 Part 2 promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet, to coincide with the fantastic Doctor Who 50th Anniversary year. With episodes written by Steven Moffat, Neil Gaiman and Mark Gatiss, the Doctor will have to outwit foes, both old and new including Daleks, Cybermen and Ice Warriors.

Doctor Who actor Matt Smith will be joined a stellar list of guest stars including: Celia Imrie; Richard E Grant; Warwick Davies, Jessica Raine; Dougray Scott and Tamzin Outhwaite, as well as for the first time on screen together, mother and daughter ‘combo’ Dame Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling.

I’m going to wait for the ‘Matt Smith Years’ after he has left, like with David Tennant. It’s more economical and I can always watch the episodes on Netflix if I want.

I recommend NOT watching them apart from broadcast and DVD.

If you watch the new series episodes more than twice it does spoil the experience quite a bit.

I’ve watched the first two episodes from the 2011 series on DVD and it’s really not the same after being so familiar with the story and knowing how it plays out 🙁

I’ve watched all of them, in order, already and am saying I’m not going to purchase any individual seasons, only the ‘Matt Smith Years’ because it is economical.

Aren’t we supposed to have 8 new episodes ? So it would rather be “episodes 6 – 14” ?

everyone keeps saying this, and yes you’re right it should say 6-14 (8 episodes and the snowman) but i dont know, remember this isn’t the final artwork, so it could change! 🙂

Christmas Special is not a regular episode, and it not included, so 6-13 is correct.

ACtually in the case of this series it is counted as a regular episode and is counted in the numbering as any other episode is. It doesn’t help that every department of the BBC uses an entirely different system for everything.

Indeed this should be true as the usa version lists the snowmen and if they give them the snowmen on the part 2 blu ray/dvd and not us then i will be absolutely livid!!! I really think they will include it as it is pivotal to clara oswin’s story and the bells of saint john doesn’t make sense following immediatley after the first part of series 7 without the snowmen.

I get the individual releases on DVD and then the series boxset on blu-ray. Looks like I may be waiting a while for the blu-ray 🙁

Yeah, that’s what I am gonna do. I realized not long ago it’s a waste of money to buy them like that, so I am focusing on the box sets only.
