Series 6 Figures Wave 1b – Pictures
Doctor Who Series 6 Figures Wave 1b
Recreate scenes from Doctor Who with these incredibly detailed fully articulated 5-inch action figures. Characters include the Eleventh Doctor and key villains from the hit TV show. Styles may vary. One supplied. For ages 5 years and over.
Wave 1b consists of 6 Figures – Idris, Uncle, The Eleventh Doctor wearing cowboy hat, The Eleventh Doctor with beard and wearing straight jacket and Silent’s with closed and open mouths.
The Silents supplied in wave 1a are totally different to wave 1b, the have a matt black coat (looks much much better in y opinion) and a more “pinkish” face which is a a matt finish rather than the shiny appearance of the grey ones.
Amelia pond is not the same face sculpt or hair as the Doctor Who Experience figure…

July 30th, 2011 - 9:45pmi went really early this morning to argos so excited about the new figures so when i typed in the code and said was 7 available i thought yes they have got all of them lol they only had 2 different ones the silence with closed mouth and doctor with cowboy hat , so got them and have ordered amelia, idris, doctor with beard ,off CO website.

I think they had all of the figures from both waves (although I may be mistaken about Nephew and Amelia as I was only looking for Silent figures). They had both silent figures in both pink and grey.

July 30th, 2011 - 7:13pmAs far as i understand it wave 1a, the pink one, is based on the actual silent as painted by the designer but because of the lighting and colour balance used to film the episode they look grey hence wave 1b its explained here http://kaduflyer.deviantart.com/#/d3i3eds
a lot of figures are sculpted and made before the actual episode airs

July 30th, 2011 - 6:15pmThey certainly are true!!! Myself and several others on this site had ordered a set of 5 of the new Series 6 Figures on Amazon for £12.99, which was a very good deal. The next day, we all recieved an email telling us our orders had all been cancelled, and we didn’t get an explanation as to why. And I don’t kno if he has yet, but at first Booboo didn’t get his money back. I’m now waiting for a reply from Amazon after complaining about it, but I’m yet to get anything.

I am very sorry for any disappointment caused. £12.99 is the price for 1 figure not the complete set.

They relisted it a few days later at $100. 😯

However if your store sometimes gets figures late like mine and some other peoples stores then you could be in for a bit of a wait! All I can say is keep looking and ask about it so you can get a rough estimate of when the figures will arrive 🙂

July 30th, 2011 - 2:41pmBooboo, i have been here there and everywhere trying to find the figures today. Only place I know that has the figures is argos. I went to 2 argos stores and in one they only had doc with hat (I got one) and in the other They had a choice of amy or open mouth silent, but so many had been reserved that ony one was for sale. I chose amelia, as it is only in wave 1a, but having seen the silent variants i’m not so sure about my choice.
I looked in ToysRUs and the only new thing was the goo pod, tesco had nothing new.
where should I look for w1a?
