My mug has arrived. Having looked at it I am not going to risk drinking from it. Will go on display (unused).

A 3D mug? How would a 2D mug even work?

Very cool idea, but wish it used screenshots from the show rather than the 50th anniversary logo and a publicity photo because it makes no sense for either of those to be appearing on a TV screen. Would definitely buy one with a still from the Tom Baker title sequence, or from a key scene like the “do I have the right?” close up.

I don’t suppose these have anything to do with Retro TV carrying Doctor Who in the US? I am guessing not given that they’re not being sold in the US, apparently. Retro TV just being a generic term and not a direct reference to the network.

Odd they are allowed to use the classic logo, thought everything had to use the Jodie logo now.

Yeah I was thinking that too. Nice to see it. I guess the new one would make no sense in the context of this product. Really wish they’d stuck with the consistent classic logo. I still think each era of who should keep it’s own logo.

no as the new logo wasn’t around on those old TV’s, its on the packaging though.

    These are rather novel.

Yeah! It looks as though it’ll be very awkward.

Yeah – I had one of the big square police box mugs with a lid that came out about 10 years ago… it looked VERY cool but was an absolute bugger to drink tea out of…

A prize could be offered for the funniest video. The mug is kind of fun. I feel tempted.
