I’ve just had £17.99 taken from my account from Eaglemoss – I am assuming that is for the Mechanoid.

It doesnt seem that long since the Mire came out…how oftern do the specials come out. I know the Subs only Daleks are every 10 issues, but is it just me or are these more random?

I got the mire on the June 23rd so around every 4 months seems about right ( as i suspect this will arrive with the next delivery in about 3 – 4 weeks )

Received an email about this this morning, so it looks like next month there will be three classic and no new series figures in one delivery (Mechanoid/Vervoid/Machine Gun Dalek).

Make A welcome change, Don’t get me wrong most of the new series Figurines I like but was raised on Classic Who, can anyone confirm has the collection been officially extended? Or is it rumour/wishful thinking?

    • The Werewolf

      September 6th, 2016 - 8:08pm

It has definitely been extended to at least 110, most likely 120 as they tend to be ten more than the pay schedule says.

What about the mega Dalek? What magazine are they going to do for it?

Does anyone at Eaglemoss actually know anything about Doctor Who? Do they do any research or proof-reading or anything?

Yes they do. Neil Corry is a big fan of Doctor Who, Ben Robinson is as well although he prefers Star Trek. And yes they did do market research early on.

What’s wrong with the Mechanoid in your opinion? It’s a perfectly nice ‘monster’ to me.

Yes… Why do you ask that?? In fact I know that everyone there loves Doctor Who and other sci fi shows. Just talk to them on Twitter and you will see how much they know.

      Check out the cover

    • The Werewolf

      August 25th, 2016 - 8:01pm

What’s wrong with the cover? There’s no spelling mistakes, they;ve got the story name, character’s name, Doctor and story date correct.

Let me guess, because they used the original spelling televised “Mechonoid” rather than the alternative “Mechanoid” spelling which followed years later?

    • Cyberman Bill

      August 28th, 2016 - 9:08pm

There is nothing wrong with the cover. That’s the original spelling.

      September 5th, 2016 - 10:15pm

Hmmm Ben Johnson completely changed his opinion on the mechanoids…..

Werewolf will the Yeti be a regular figurine or a special? It was almost as tall as the Tardis

    • The Werewolf

      September 6th, 2016 - 8:10pm

Probably a special, similar in size to the Mire, a little larger of course.

Are they doing the classic Ice Warrior or an Ice Lord ?

    • The Werewolf

      August 17th, 2016 - 8:01pm

Probably. When they started they had new series Silurian, Sontaran and Ice Warrior and, it took a long time but they finally released a classic Silurian, and soon a Sontaran. I think an Ice Warrior will happen too, especially as it gives them a chance to release a Troughton-era figure which isn’t a Cyberman.

Well Id be happy with a Dominator to go with the quark, a kroton, maybe a white robot representing the mind robber and the original macra as a special…taking it as a fact that there’ll be a yeti along.

A Yeti will be done, but most likely not until near the end of the collection.

I think we’re all forgetting THE greatest Doctor Who monster of them all…

The Taran Wood Beast. What a figure that would make.

Really unlikely, although probably easier to do here as there’s no moving parts.

I also emailed Forbidden Planet about the mistake. Nice to see they’ve fixed it now. The Mechanoid figurine looks very good. I did find it strange that this figurine was previewed almost immediately after I bought the Character Options Chase set with Mechanoid, I’m still looking forward to the Eaglemoss one though.
