Really want to pick this up with my birthday money. But bluray doesn’t tend to be in my local supermarkets when it comes to DW. Do you think Argos will stock this for collection? I’m paying in cash so avoiding online.

U.S buyers may be tempted by the (current) $19.99 price, released 9 June. A pity the U.K version is not available for a more wallet freindly price too.

I’m quite surprised that Resolution is included. But it’s a welcome edition! Features seem a bit sparse, shame as that’s part of the reason for buying the set for me. Love the artwork! Glad they used this image! It looks so vibrant, and by the looks of the spine will match series 11! This comes out just before my birthday so that will be on my list!

Just had an email from amazon to say they no longer have a release day for this. I’ve ordered with zoom as they seem far more reliable (and Amazon must be crazy busy prioritising then COVID 19 stuff)

This is why I didn’t buy Resolution separately I had a idea it would appear on this set.
I look forward to getting this on Blu-ray, I don’t have any of the other series in steel book so that one doesn’t bother me that much.

Think I’m going to wait till it drops. The steelbook price still hasn’t dropped from £50. I can wait till it drops to about £25 like season 11. The special features are woeful. All of them bar the commentaries are freely available on YouTube. There is not enough there to tempt me day 1

Agreed that the special features are very thin on the ground sadly. Good that it includes Resolution though!

It does say that the Closer Looks are exclusive to this release though. So maybe that means that they’re not exactly the same things as are released on YouTube? Really miss the occasions when these sets would have 2-3 long in-depth documentaries or programmes that go into detail!

Now includes the Resolution Specail but I’ll wait too.

Wouldn’t surprise me if there are more to come. Bbc Dvd and blu rays are manufactured in Italy. The coronavirus could effect manufacturing and transporting back to the uk especially if the situation escalates.

When do you think we’ll get full details of this? Seems odd that it’s out in 10 days and nothing official is out?

Was thinking the exact same thing. Slightly concerned that the reason there’s no press release detailing extra features is because there aren’t any included.

It may still be the case that Doctor who, Does not get as much Budget in releation to the amount of money it brings in From sales around the world( tv stations, streaming,Books, Cds,Blu ray /DvD, toys, badges, clothes..it goes on.

The fans complain what ever the weather, becuase its not always the sames fans shouting the loudest. More want two parters/Cliff hangers…V More wants more stand alone stories. And it was ever thus. In ALL Doctor Who. One thing would be nice. Could we all just admit we Love Doctor who. And lets enjoy seeing where series 12 takes us, on the 56 time trip.

Ignore rumours everyone and just wait and see. Remember how many people insisted series 12 wouldn’t be on until October 2020!

There were a huge amount of complaints saying who would not return until October or November 2020. There were quite a lot on here but it was even my widespread on social media platforms

So series 12 will have finished by March then and less and less stories per-year if there are lots of two parters.

Maybe time to film series back to back otherwise it will be 2201 before series 13.

How can they win? If they make two part stories people complain if they don’t people complain. It’s all down to money. The show is expensive the more episodes the more money needed and right now in the UK the money is very tight. The series is still the equivalent of 20 classic era episodes, more than featured in the last four years of the classic era

Series 8: not enough 2 parters
Series 9: too many 2 parters

      They can’t win

Maybe they can use some of Eastenders budget fair exchange. After all Doctor Who had 18 months of to use the cash to launch Eastenders.

Hope not I’ll be long dead in 2201 and the Earth will probably be an empty burnt out cinder tumbling through space.
