They should have packaged the 13th Doctor era sets in 3 packs like B&M are doing. And with the main character and a monster like SJA did. Plus having The Doctor in every set would appeal to people and be instantly recognisable to those not in the know. It could’ve been:

    1. Ryan, Recon Dalek and Resolution Blue top 13 variant as seen in back of packaging pictures. Pairing the least popular companion with the most wanted figure would ensure sales.
    2. Yaz, Judoon Captain and coatless 13.
Judoon are space police and Yaz is a police officer.
    3. Graham, battered Non-Cybus Cybermen and maroon top 13 variant.
The most wanted companion figure (hence why it was sold separately rather than with the other companions as it was supposed to be originally and imo should’ve been) and probably least wanted monster figure, but is cheap to do and ticks off this era’s most popular villains and classics.
Also would’ve been great to get sound FX with the Tardis and a 13th Doctor figure with it.

If there is a third figure with Yaz and Ryan it could be a 13th or Graham variant, would be random having him twice though. Maybe it’ll be coatless or rumoured blue top 13? Captain Jack seems unlikely although easily done with a repaint. It could also be a Judoon Trooper, Non-Cybus Cavemen from Ascension or a bronze Dalek from the upcoming special.

Well I was right about this. Won’t say which one as not to spoil for anyone who wants to wait for the announcement. Imo was obvious option.

Betting the figure will be the lone Cybermen. Who else thinks so?

I don’t see how considering that b&m sets are budget sets, the lone cybermen would require a completely new sculpt

Ryan and yaz are completely new sculpts… so why is a lone cyberman so unbelievable….?

The bodies are primeval figures. The heads are a new sculpt yes, but the bodies-no.

Ryan & Yaz are in their It Takes You Away outfits and it’s unknown if the 13th Doctor will be in the set.

Will probably be later in the year now considering everything going on. Who knows when they were planning on releasing it but it’s less likely it’ll be anytime soon. Good marketing would be to release it when all this is over and there will be a surge in people going out and shopping. Or maybe they’ll wait to release it before the special. Is anyone worried these figures could be cut completely? Does anyone actually care about these figures is a better question.

Remember, CO are doing figure with both re-used and new parts.
10th doctor tuxedo comes to mind…
I have photoshopped the Sacha Dhawan’s head on to it and it look’s decent for a figure, so maybe one day…?

Character Online on their Twitter feed have (subtly) inferred it might be a new figure for The Master – although they could just be teasing.

    See this tweet thread: https://twitter.com/CharacterToysUK/status/1212669452141109249

There’s also a 13 variant coming out with a purple top and a bumbag. Hopefully the bumbag will be removable.

Could there be a possibility of the 3rd figure being a Graham variant? I’m sure the figure could be repainted to resemble another costume of his. That way we still get the companion pack but not mass retail as it was initially meant to be. I mean we did see the figure wearing gloves initially too.

I honestly think it will be a 13th Doctor because that will appeal to casual impulse buyers as well as collectors

but i dont know whats in it

A Judoon with a helmet would be a cheap addition

If it is another 13th Doctor I wouldn’t say no to a resolution variant with an add on scarf similar to how the new one has the add on bag.

      January 22nd, 2020 - 5:53pm

would love that, but the scarf might be a problem i suppose

I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being the Bumbag figure but with a blue top.

I’m guessing a simple 13th Dr variant with her lighter blue jumper. It’s still a budget set afterall.
Yaz and Ryan will undoubtedly be getting variants in a future wave etc if they are included in a B&M set first. A lot like the Bill figure.

It’ll most likely be that variant. It could perhaps even be a Coatless variant but it seems slightly less likely than the blue shirt variant.

with essentially 2 brand new figures in this i cant see the budget allowing for much, a regenerated 13th would seem the way to go if viable, otherwise a simple tweak of some sort.

    • Judooning

      January 22nd, 2020 - 2:36pm

Oh yes! A regeneration 13th. Could use the body of the 12th Dr and just paint on the tears/cuts of the costume. Even though she might be a bit tall, it’s still better than nothing.
A bit of tweaking and you could even use the standard 13th Dr body to do it.

I doubt there’ll be a Regenerated 13. The body wpodnt look right with 13’s head on 12’s body plus there isn’t a 5inch figure of that Capaldi outfit. It would look odd next to the main Jodie figure too. Possibly a Spyfall variant but that would be pushing it these days. Most likely a blue top variant or possibly a non-Cybus Cyberman.

It wont be a new figure like the Master or Keblam Man. I’m betting it will be the Judoon Trooper.

      January 22nd, 2020 - 1:20am

Yeah good point didn’t think of that I was thinking of it being separate but having the Judoon makes more sense.

      January 22nd, 2020 - 2:10am

Or possibly just a 13th Doctor variant?

That being said, a Kerblam man would be cool, but I doubt it’d be achievable on a B&M budget, as it’d require atleast four new parts.

It would be annoying if it was Trooper. Making army-builders exclusive to sets, but their commanders common and single carded is not good idea.
