Until we actually get some information on what/how & so on, this is all supposition. We will have to wait until MR decide to actually release FACTS as to what is proposed, how it will be laid out & what/where/when to buy?

    This annoys me.
For people who have the originals, what is the point of this. It’s really annoying to have to get copies of 72 cards I already have, just for the new 8 and to support this.

Because its a relaunch, this series of cards ended 17 years ago and this is likely to test the water to see if theres life in this TCG outside of the 1% of collectors. The cards might be “repeats” but the colour scheme, logo etc will be different so they arent “the same”

Not everything is for collectors only……….

Also, all of these cards are foil-printed. I recognise a lot of the cards as being common versions, so it will be nice to have shiny versions of them to compliment the originals.

I really really REALLY hope we are able to relive the nostalgia fully after this and have packets sold in shops with a magazine collection starting with a bumper Issue 1, only thing now would be the packets most likely won’t be £1.50 like they were 20 years ago aha.

If packet price were to increase with inflation it would be (As of November 2025) £2.62 a packet or £83.69 per box. Makes me think similar to the Torchwood TCG back in 2008 being £2.99 per pack and me thinking that’s WAY overpriced, which to be fair was true for what you got.

Nonetheless I would love if this became a thing again. Make it happen!!

You wont be paying £2.62 a packet, no good TCG booster packs are under £5 a pack……….

I hope they commit to this as an actual TCG
Plenty of potential here if done right, focusing only on being collectible will not cut it and the game will fail

They wont be in B and M.

This isnt character options and a niche product. More likely will be forbidden planet

Maybe support things at full price to make it successful eh? 80 cards for less then 30 pounds is a phenomenal deal

      January 1st, 2026 - 5:53pm

Master Replicas have a history of selling their excess stock yo B&M, it’s not that ridiculous

    • Billyb

      January 4th, 2026 - 2:08am

The cards are so well priced why wait till they’re in b&m? 25 for a full set of 80 is a good deal lol

      January 4th, 2026 - 12:00pm

Because not everyone can afford it? They’re bits of cardboard with pictures printed on them and people have different spending priorities.

I pre-ordered iit hour one (even got screwed over on the postage because their site was hiding the 14th and 15th figures) but I can absolutely see why someone would be turning their nose up at this “good deal”. Trading cards are expensive for what they ultimately are and if they are a lower priority some people will be happy to wait and see and if they don’t get a saving then that’s one less product line to worry about!

Packs will occur but this is a special set. The cards are marked with reintroduction, so wont be available in this format when they hit booster packs,

A lot of their previous products have ended up in physical shops like B&M but I wouldn’t rely on it unless you’re really on the fence about it.

If you’re asking if it will be in every newsagents across the country like in 2006, absolutely not.

Need some 12, 13, 14, War and Fugitive in the next release, also betting there’s no classics in this set so there’s that too…

These look cool! Have found memories of getting the odd packet back in the day although I didn’t get many. I might try these but will probably wait until we have a bit more info. I like the idea of having reproductions of classic cards, with new ones mixed in. The Matt Smith card pictured in the promo image intrigues me though! Unless I’m miss remembering, Battles in Time stopped around Series 4. So that card must be a new one. But the description currently says new cards are only from 15th Doctor’s era in this initial back. Maybe that one is a card that will be released later? Either way, I’m real pleased this is a thing!

It says it features cards from the Fifteenth Doctor, not that its only from then.

The Eleventh Doctor is card “073” and Fifteen is “076”, I think we can take a safe guess who is in between. Put in Ruby and Belinda then a couple of villains and everything in the description is satisfied.

I understand the thinking behind reissuing previous cards but 72 out of 80 is a real disappointment, even factoring in the new foil. Could have done 40/40. Pleasantly surprised by the pricing though.
