Doctor Who Celebrate Regenerate! – Updated

In order to aid the celebrations of Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary this year, quite an epic-sized group of fans have come together from all over the world to build Celebrate Regenerate, a fan-made (non-profit and unofficial) book, filled with reviews and articles covering every televised story.

At over 300 A4 pages, this doorstop of a book is packed with pieces from over 250+ fan writers, and we’ve even included some fanart too. To top it all, we’ve also bagged a few exclusive interviews with Series 1 director, Joe Ahearne; writer Tom MacRae, and writer Joseph Lidster which will be published alongside some other special features in the book.

The project, now a year in the making, is set to be released on 13th July this year, well in time for the anniversary. We aim to simply add to the growing list of contributions from other fans and writers, and our goal is now to reach out to as many fans as possible to share our finished project.

(Up until 8th July, they are offering everybody the chance to have their name listed in the book as a ‘Companion’ too, to make up for them not knowing about this and being able to submit.)

On Launch day (13th July), people will be able to order a physical copy from Lulu.com via www.celebrateregenerate.com, and an instant [free] PDF version will also be available for download.

From www.celebrateregenerate.com

Celebrate, Regenerate is a fan-created non-profit book which will celebrate the last 50 years of Doctor Who!

Since July 2012, we’ve been accepting reviews and celebratory articles for every televised Who story. The response has been overwhelming and I’d like to thank everybody who has tweeted, contributed, written for us, and/or spread the word.

Over the next few months, I’ll be editing all the submissions and placing them into the Celebrate Regenerate book. At the moment, that’s basically all the information I can give.

*There are one or two tweaks to be made to the cover

Maybe they’re not looking for any more artwork. Whatever happens, I’m sure they’ll use some of what’s been sent into them.

I really wanted to enter this, and had about 7 stories that I would happily write for. I spent forever (a few weeks) trying to write the perfect review wnd when I checked if they were available still… ALL of them were gone
🙁 However (if possibal), would I be able to write in a review of “the only good dalek”, a comic by jusin richards and mike collins. Its by far one of my favorite storys and I think it should be turned into an episode! if your reading this liam could I please? 🙂

    1. I’m not really a writer, but is Doctor Who fan fiction acceptable.
    2. How can we obtain the book afterwards.
