Character Options announces a 5.5” Scale Thirteenth Doctor Figure
The new collectible will be available for pre-sale from 1st December 2018
Character Options has announced details of the next item in its 2018 Doctor Who collection; a 5.5-inch scale figure of the Thirteenth Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker.
Renowned for its highly detailed 5.5 -inch figures, this latest collectible from Character will delight fans who are celebrating the brand new TV series which launched on BBC One on 7th October.
The figure depicts the newly regenerated Time Lord dressed in her high-waisted culottes, rainbow striped dark blue shirt and coat. Carrying the essential sonic screwdriver, the figure comes with multiple points of articulation.
Mark Hunt from Character Options commented: “From the moment we announced details of the 10” Thirteenth Doctor figure in late August, we have been inundated with questions about a 5.5-inch scale version. We are therefore delighted to be able to reveal details of this latest Doctor Who release.”
The new figure costs £12.99. It will be available from late December, and can be ordered on pre-sale from 1st December 2018

December 20th, 2018 - 5:17pmI ordered from Galaxy 4 as well, I highly doubt it though. Their dispatch date said 5th January and I’ll bet they’re sticking to it. I suspect only those who ordered through character will be likely to have a chance to get theirs before the New Year.

December 16th, 2018 - 4:46amI’ve seen the American figure and the U.K. Figure. Both have issues. The American one looks stiff and the U.K. One has the horrible paint job on the hair. Although this may be a collectors item anyway.

December 13th, 2018 - 9:28amWhat ratings are you talking about? Viewings figures wise, the ratings are at 2008 levels.
If your talking about review websites like IMDB, there’s been a lot of review bombing going on before the episodes aired (I wonder who would be doing that?), so the scores are going to be lower because of that.
As for the figure choice presented in the original post, I like a far few of the ideas, though some, like Ribbons, I really don’t care about. One of Series 11’s genuine flaws was it’s lack of proper, iconic villains. Tim Shaw was the best villain this Series, and he pales in comparison to some we’ve gotten in recent Series. I mean, I’d take the underutilised Fisher-king over him.

December 11th, 2018 - 7:05amWords fail (but I’ll still have a go) – there are 7 different figures on booboo’s Christmas Guide, all of which will benefit from being released whilst the show is on air and available for Christmas.
The 5″ figure on the other hand will be released after the Christmas sales window, and after the only episode of 2019 airs.
I don’t buy the BBC are to blame – the other 7 figures were given clearance in plenty time to be available, if this was available for submission why would it take so much longer?

The Bill figure had been hanging around for months and its only because Amazon stepped in that we even got her most likely
The B&M sets have a long established time line, much of which doesn’t even need approval yet it was still more than 6 months from initial planning to when they hit the shelves.

The colour stripes on the shirt are wrong too.
