February 12th, 2015 - 1:17pmAre the dalek with mutant scoop or the gold dalek in any of the forthcoming playsets, because i didn,t want to buy individually this time. I can wait. Can,t believe i paid £30 for the cyberman with blue chest about 9 months ago, wish i,d waited THEN. Also will that black dalek be repacked?

February 12th, 2015 - 10:10amI like the look of this wave, just a shame BBC Shop seem to have stopped getting stock. I emailed them the other day and got the response that they weren’t aware of anymore waves beyond the first two.
booboo
February 12th, 2015 - 10:35amI can quite believe that, the later figures were never officially announced and official images not forthcoming until long after the figures were released
They were just seen as running changes to wave 3, a bit like the 3.75″ Tardis where all 3 versions come under the same order code
The TARDIS 12600
February 12th, 2015 - 5:02amI don’t see why people are complaining so much over the lost of the stands… I MEAN REALLY SO MANY PEOPLE HATE AND COMPLAINED AT THE STANDS ABOUT HOW THEY LOOKED AND HATED ON THEM EVERY CHANCE THEY GOT ANNNNNNNNNNNND NOW THEY ARE MAD CAUSE CO IS NOT GOING TO MAKE THEM ANYMORE???? REALLY GUYS CHARACTER PROBABLY THOUGHT THERE WHERE GIVING US WHAT WE WANTED BY NOT GIVING US STANDS.
booboo
February 12th, 2015 - 9:04amYes SOME people did complain, mainly because they thought they were to big or bright.
That doesn’t stop others who want to easily display their figures from asking what’s happened to them or wanting to be able to buy them separately
Sam Richard Bentley
February 12th, 2015 - 9:21amIt’s the same scenario as the Paradigm Daleks, it looked like everyone hated them and everyone was complaining – but as soon as they disappeared from the show, everyone complained they weren’t returning.
Obviously there are people with different opinions but – sometimes I just don’t think people can be happy.
Infofreak
February 12th, 2015 - 4:58pmThey should just do a smaller clear circle stand or something, so you can stand figures up if necessary. Win, Win.
matt9982
February 11th, 2015 - 9:33pmI have got to say, I am really looking forward to the release of these. The quality has improved a lot even though I haver never really had much of a problem in the past but these just look great!
I will definitely be buying The Caretaker 12 and the new sculpt Cyberman Figure. Also I might get the Foretold at some point but I think will probably wait until its later release in the next Wave 4 Shipments 🙂
Destroyer of Worlds
February 11th, 2015 - 9:24pmClara (TOTD outfit) and Spacesuit Twelfth Doctor with 2 Spider Germs are the only new figures coming soon in the next wave.
Excluding Red Eyed Skovox Blitzer
David9684
February 11th, 2015 - 7:44pmSo many amazing figures out this year 😀
Just got a new job so I will be able to keep up with the releases again 😀

February 11th, 2015 - 6:44pmWhere have the bases gone?
matt9982
February 11th, 2015 - 7:20pmCO are trying to put more money and effort into the figure itself rather than a stand.
I think that the standard of these new figures and the others at the Toy Fair (Especially the Foretold) are a good example of this
booboo
February 11th, 2015 - 7:22pmand like the accessory with The caretaker Doctor
I do hope they will come through with stands for those who want to buy them though
matt9982
February 11th, 2015 - 9:27pmI am personally not bothered about the loss of the stands as I have never used or needed them. Although I do think Character should definitely form some way of getting some for those that still want or need the stands but I doubt much will be done for quite a while though.
the real doctor
February 11th, 2015 - 4:43pmglad capaldi’s figure no longer has the waist coast and the legs are straight
wish he was wearing a jumper rather than a shirt like in the actual episode
the real doctor
February 11th, 2015 - 4:48pmI just realised making a 5 inch caretaker doctor would be really easy.
all you need is capaldi’s head, body of an auton and the 10th doctor’s trench coat
Destroyer of Worlds
February 11th, 2015 - 9:20pmJust shortened.
whotoys
February 11th, 2015 - 4:13pmI’m pre-ordering them all at the weekend (well I will be ordering the skovox blitzer because that is already out)
The Twelfth Doctor
February 11th, 2015 - 10:24amRemember last year when Wave 2 was expected on March 15th, but Character got them in at the end of February? Hope this happens again.
matt9982
February 11th, 2015 - 4:17pmThat would certainly be Nice 🙂
EndlessTimelord
February 11th, 2015 - 8:12amThe 12th Doctor is a NEW figure! The shirt is new. And the jacket seems to look different (not a repaint) and the Cyberman IS a different sculpt. But sadly Scovox just same but I don’t have him yet so I will get them all! (When I say that I mean they are Pre-Ordered)
doctor who crazy ross
February 11th, 2015 - 11:32amThe twelfth doctor has just had a repaint with a coat added on. Its not a new sculpt.
The Twelfth Doctor
February 11th, 2015 - 11:53amWell, the coat and he shirt are brand new sculpts, so it actually is a new sculpt.
koloth
February 11th, 2015 - 3:07pmNew body sculpt does not mean complete new sculpt. It means kit-bash!
The Twelfth Doctor
February 11th, 2015 - 3:21pmA new body sculpt means it is not a repaint, so the figure essentially is a new sculpt!
matt9982
February 11th, 2015 - 4:13pmThe only original parts of it are the legs/feet and the Face/head and Hands.
Everything else is new
MrHalloWho
February 11th, 2015 - 7:16amDon’t really see the difference on the Cyberman, other than the face is better painted/sculpted. We’ve already had the Blitzer and a million Doctors, so the only truly new figure is the Mummy (Foretold).

February 11th, 2015 - 7:14amwhere are the stands?
booboo
February 11th, 2015 - 7:42amyou don’t get them anymore

February 11th, 2015 - 1:46pmwhy?
matt9982
February 11th, 2015 - 4:16pmCO are trying to put more money and effort into the figure itself rather than a stand.

Nicholas
February 10th, 2015 - 9:08pmI seriously think they should reduce the size of the packaging if they are getting rid of the bases – waste of plastic. Perhaps they should be more like the old Star Wars packaging
StetsonDoctor
February 10th, 2015 - 9:36pmWell I see what you mean, the Foretold looks very lonely and slightly out of place in such a large box, in the same way that some of the older 5″ figures did in that huge packaging. However, I suppose the idea is that more and more future figures are going to have lots of accessories, so hopefully this won’t be a problem later on.
The Caretaker Doctor would never fit inside smaller packing, it’s just the right size for him. They have to keep all the 3.75″ packaging the same, standard size-it would look even more odd if you went into a shop and discovered that each figure was in different-sized packaging.
I think it’s fine how it is overall.
Sam Richard Bentley
February 10th, 2015 - 8:58pmNew Cyberman looks darn good, doesn’t he? Very tempted to pick one up just for my shelf, if the final product looks as good as that.
David9684
February 11th, 2015 - 7:45amThey’re apparently slightly taller than wave 1’s too
matt9982
February 11th, 2015 - 4:18pmYes new face sculpt too (or at least some tweaks). I will definately be picking one up alongside the Caretaker Doctor 🙂
The Living Shadow
February 10th, 2015 - 7:49pm12 isn’t very accurate, but I hated that hole jumper, so I’ll let them off! Plus it still has the overall look of the Doctor in ‘the Caretaker’ as for the other figures…Skovox looks great! Haven’t picked him up yet, so I’m glad he’s in this wave too. Cyberman is pretty nice, not too excited over it, but not at all disappointed as I missed out when it was rare. The Foretold is beautiful…well, as beautiful as a gross mummy can get!
MrHalloWho
February 10th, 2015 - 8:27pmAs if they’d make a new mould JUST for one figure! Unthinkable!
doctorrivertardis
February 10th, 2015 - 6:42pmdoes anyone else think that the 12th doctors head really looks like an old version of spock
The Living Shadow
February 10th, 2015 - 7:44pmyess!!! Omg! Finally someone else who thinks that!
stike
February 10th, 2015 - 6:26pmI will get all but the skovox
DoctorSong2013
February 10th, 2015 - 9:48pmSame here but only because I already have it
StetsonDoctor
February 10th, 2015 - 6:09pmSo will the Skovox have red eyes after all, or the blue ones as before? The pictures seem to suggest the latter…
booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 6:12pmthe red eye one is in the next batch 4B
StetsonDoctor
February 10th, 2015 - 6:41pmAh I see, silly me! 😆
alexanderop
February 10th, 2015 - 5:30pmTo be honest I’m not happy with the caretaker twelve, they’ve just been lazy giving him a t-shirt. He clearly wore a black jumper with holes all over it, not a black collared shirt. It would have been great if it had little dots all over it and didn’t have the collar.
booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 5:33pmnot lazy – expensive
new tooling and masks not worth it for a £7 figure
MrHalloWho
February 11th, 2015 - 7:25amIt doesn’t need sculpting, just a flat sheet of black over the top of the shirt and under the coat would be fine! They could use the same piece of the back of his jacket, repainted it and put it instead of the shirt piece.
booboo
February 11th, 2015 - 7:41amwhich would still require new moulds and production changes and masks
again not worth it for a £7 figure
Anonymous
February 11th, 2015 - 8:14amBut Booboo they did make a new sculpt of shirt and they could have reused a jumper sculpt for a listen variant just like they must be using this shirt for a ROS variant,so it wouldn’t have been a waste, I can’t wait for the purple shirt 12 though
booboo
February 11th, 2015 - 8:19amIts all about how things go together production wise, future plans and cost effectiveness
The Silent Silent
February 10th, 2015 - 5:13pmWERE CAN WE BUY THE BASES ?
booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 5:15pmwas supposed to be being sorted but it seems not at the moment

Anonymous
February 10th, 2015 - 5:01pmSo 2 new figures and 2 re-releases.
booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 5:03pmthe Cyberman is new tooling
MrHalloWho
February 11th, 2015 - 7:26amHow? the head looks different and the legs are shaper sculpted, but it looks very similar.
booboo
February 11th, 2015 - 7:31amprecisely. new tooling
Cyberman Bill
February 11th, 2015 - 4:04pmThat’s funny….. Mr Halo you answered your own question. 🙂
Sam Richard Bentley
February 10th, 2015 - 4:49pmI know people will complain about them reusing the Capaldi head sculpt because they think it doesn’t look good, but I think it looks great for what it is. You know, a small toy made of plastic…
It’s much better than that ridiculously innacurate one with the smirk and raised eyebrow. So, I’m happy it’s still the same. Even if I don’t collect the toys.
EndlessTimelord
February 10th, 2015 - 4:52pmI agree with you now. But the first one looked worse. It looks like it’s been improved! 😀
Doctor 11
February 21st, 2015 - 12:54amHowever people could see Capaldi in it. They only thing is they could have just retooled it instead of making a worse face mould
EndlessTimelord
February 10th, 2015 - 4:48pmAre they up for pre-order? And where did u get images from?
booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 4:49pmwe always get sent the official images as soon as they are relased
they should be up for order soon somewhere
EndlessTimelord
February 10th, 2015 - 4:53pmSo it could be tonight?
booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 4:53pmshould be, both FP usually get them on
EndlessTimelord

booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 4:54pmdoubt that
i will put links in as soon as i see them anywhere
EndlessTimelord
February 10th, 2015 - 4:56pmOk. Thanks BooBoo! Can’t wait for them. What do you think of them right now?
booboo
February 10th, 2015 - 4:56pmthey are great but then i have seen them first hand at the toy fair
EndlessTimelord
February 10th, 2015 - 5:00pmI love them too. I love the foretold’s hand. The way it’s down! I just love it!
the astronaut of death
February 10th, 2015 - 4:48pmThe 12th Dr is in accurate
Sam Richard Bentley
February 10th, 2015 - 4:54pmWhy, because he’s wearing black shirt and not a black t-shirt with white flecks?
Let’s be honest, they aren’t going to sculpt a new t-shirted model for a variant figure. And the white specks are way too small a detail to be added.
the astronaut of death
February 10th, 2015 - 5:12pmNo it was more of a jumper
Sam Richard Bentley
February 10th, 2015 - 7:07pmJumper, t-shirt, either would look identical on a figure like this.
And my point still stands? They aren’t going to tool up a new torso for a simple variant!
the astronaut of death
February 10th, 2015 - 4:47pmThey look great… Any release info?
The Figure Adventurer
February 10th, 2015 - 4:45pmWhat an awesome batch of figures! Just a shame for the people that bought the rare Cyberman when these figures first came out as they may have paid quite a bit of money for them…
The Living Shadow
February 10th, 2015 - 7:57pmThe highest one sold for was £132, on 25th June 2013 on Ebay, to be precise!! 🙂
Cyberman Bill
February 11th, 2015 - 4:59amBut this Cyberman is a completely different sculpt do its not the same
Doctor 11
February 21st, 2015 - 12:55amIt is basically the same though.
