Exterminate! Exterminate! EXTERMINATE!

The Daleks were created by the Kaled scientist, Davros as travel machines.

ElectronicMovingDaleks

He had deduced that the years of radiation and chemical poisoning from an ongoing war would lead his race to mutate into immobile organisms. The Dalek travel machines would house these creatures and allow the Kaleds to survive.

moving-dalek-1

However, in the course of his experiments, Davros deliberately removed what he considered to be debilitating emotions from the mutants and a force of evil was spawned!

moving-dalek-5

The Daleks were born without any ability to feel compassion or pity and were motivated only by hate, fear and an implacable belief that they were the superior creatures in the Universe.

moving-dalek-3

Recreate scenes from Doctor Who with this highly detailed Electronic Moving Dalek. Each Dalek glides on a wave of sound.

There are 4 to collect including: Bronze Dalek, Emperor’s Guard Dalek, Dalek Sec and Asylem Dalek. Requires 1 x LR44/ AG13 battery (included).

Very tempted to pick one up, when they go down in price as all things do. Just because it seems like an interesting concept, and they look pretty cool.

They don’t specify which ones though, so you’d just end up with a random one. Bit risky if you ask me.

I’m hopefully going to get at least 3 bronze Daleks and Sec, so I can have the cult of skaro!

Just seen these in Forbidden Planet Cardiff, was tempted by the emperors guard dalek but I wasn’t prepared to pay 8.99 for a little dalek even if it has got a cool gimmick.

Question: Does the black dalek singly represent Dalek Sec? Because it just occured to me that an all black NSD appeared in ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ (as much as I’d like to forget aspects of that episode…). The dalek inside the asylum obviously couldn’t have been Dalek Sec, but does that make the black dalek it’s own rank? (I won’t say supreme as a pair of black time war “supremes” with gold hemispheres appeared in the background during ‘The Parting of Ways’).

If so I’ll get one to add to the NSD heirachy I have collected…

Don’t try to apply logic to choice of Daleks in the Asylum, you’ll break your brain

      February 1st, 2015 - 2:03pm

Yeah, I remembered after posting this that they’d tried to pass off NSD’s as being Daleks from the classic era stories! I’ll just stick with what I’ve got I reckon.

I think the whole ‘glide on a wave of sound!’ thing is a reference to the tacky 60s toys; only way for my brain to cope.

So are these the vibrating Daleks we heard mentioned last year? They’d rather say they ‘glide on a wave of sound!’

If these had come it sooner, I wouldn’t have painted a Guard Dalek black to be my Sec. Well, I could still do with a Bronze one, but I’ll wait for them to come to stores.

If we get a Wave 2, I’d like:

    1963 Dalek (The Daleks)
Imperial Dalek (Remembrance of the Daleks)
Supreme Dalek (The Stolen Earth/Journeys End)
Red Dalek Drone (Asylum of the Daleks).

The only one I’ll be looking to get is Dalek Sec; it’ll fit right in with my other 3.75″ Daleks. It’s a shame that I never managed to find the wave 1 chase variant Dalek Sec to display in its packaging, but at least this way I will own the figure, even if it has a hidden feature which makes it a variant of a (chase) variant.

I can’t believe they don’t come with a battery included. It’s one of those fiddly watch batteries as well.
