My little cousin and I were in Smyths today, and he spotted both Matt Smith’s (Mark 1) and Peter Capaldi’s (Mark 3) Spin and Fly TARDIS’. He said he really wanted the Mark 3 version, so when he wasn’t looking, I quickly picked one up and put it in the bag for his birthday. However, when we got to the till, the member of staff who was serving us told me that the bar code of the TARDIS didn’t match the product, so I had to buy him a Mark 1 version. Very disappointing.

err they are the same barcode for version 1, 2 and 3 we have already established that.

Presumably they removed all MK’3s off the shelf then?

I know, not very sure what the confusion was TBH.

Not sure if they removed them from the shelf, the guy just went to get me a Mark 1 version and we left straight after he returned and the purchase went through.

they must be very well informed to go straight and change it for a mk1

almost sounds like his screen was telling them to do that?

They should have removed all the Mk3 off the shelf immediately as they are not prepared to sell them

I hope they release a 5 inch 12th doctor and a 5 inch series 8 TARDIS in a set with Clara and Danny that would be cool !

They had them at TRU Preston today, so picked one up. Their DW display was actually really impressive, with Twelve and Clara on the banner at the top, Wave 3 3.75″ figures (no Skovox batch yet…), Touch Control Sonics, loads of DOTD sets, loads of AOTD sets, Mr Potato Heads, MKIII 3.75″ TARDISes and Dalek/Cyberman Plushes. For some reason, the Dalek plush has been reduced to £6.96, while the Cyberman is still £14.99… ❓

Okay, I have a few questions. One, does the interior light up like the 10 Doctor’s Flight Controlled TARDIS did? Do the windows illuminate? 2, I live in ‘Muricah…and I no shop near me has this. I found one on eBay but I am worried… I don’t know if this is a rip off, etc… oh dear. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/191482718910?nav=SEARCH

Booboo, I am in America so it seems that is the only real option. I hope it is the correct one, but the 100 percent satisfaction seems promising. I will buy it. That sucks it has no lights.

I’ve dealt with this seller before. He’s very honest. That is the correct Tardis. I too love in the states so we have to get our “Who” items wherever we can and sometimes we have to pay a little more. I don’t mind as since I’m a completist and as long as I get the item.

      January 22nd, 2015 - 9:04am

the problem is there should on-line sellers that have this model at the right price but you cant distinguish which model they have

you should not have to pay double price for something

I bought from this seller also and I got the Tardis in the mail today. Yes, it is the correct one (12th Doctor’s Tardis). Great seller, easy to work with. I am willing to pay extra to have the piece of mind I am reciving the right Tardis. I live in the U.S. and i recieved the Tardis 3 days early then what estimated shipping date said. I agree with Booboo that yes it cost more then it should but living in the states its not like we can drive to the store and pick one up.

there is a real problem with online ordering though with a lot of retailers because you dont know which version you are getting

Also noticed character are not selling some of the more recent figures on their site for some reason

    • Ian

      January 15th, 2015 - 11:40am

Very true. Ill wait and see if I can get it in TRU. My local Tesco which is a superstore have had none of the new figures in at all. All they have week after week which are not selling is the 11th Doctor, Clara, Ice Warrior and Weeping Angel from wave 1. They have reduced the playsets to £2, the Dalek and Ice Warrior ones.

This has the white windows and the Series 8 interior.

Mark 2 had the completely black windows and Series 7 interior

Mark 1 had a MUCH more natural, darker, desaturated colour and the Series 7 interior as well.
