August 12th, 2018 - 10:59amJust saw the Brig figure on ebay. Shocked to see the paint job. The UNIT symbol on the hat is just a round blob, no text at all.
So the ‘things we have to look past for the sake of having the figure’ are:
Brig – No logo on hat or sleeve, no shirt and tie just cravat, no combat boots just shoes.
4th Dr – No Deerstalker, sleeve cuffs when there should be none, badly painted over boots pretending to be trouser.
Auton – Silver shoes instead of Silver boots.
Pertwee/TARDIS – White cravat when there should be none (never wore one), thick black base on TARDIS when the black base was with another type of TARDIS and 7 seasons later.
Wrong colour POLICE BOX signs, and wrong roof lamp.
WOW! quite a list, haven’t focused on the other 2 sets yet!

August 12th, 2018 - 10:45amJust been to both my local b&ms in south west region. First store had all the sets except for tardis set, simply because the guy in front of me at the till had 4 of them!!! Claiming they were early xmas presents. Then m second store everything was already sold out! Unbelievable!!! eBay scalpers!

August 12th, 2018 - 11:36amDoesn’t surprise me at all, when i looked at a recent LP i reckon nearly 25% off the stock ended up on ebay.
Having said that this is the initial “surge” and things usually settle down with most stores eventually getting stock for all to buy. Not sure on The Tardis though odd that every store i try aren’t expecting any

August 12th, 2018 - 2:29pmThey need to limit sets to one per customer. It’s frustrating that people are clearly buying in bulk to sell at double or more the initial price on ebay. Not fair on the true fans who want these sets at a budget price.

August 12th, 2018 - 8:55amHaving looked at some of them on eBay at the moment, I can’t say I’m too impressed. I personally think the Brigadier figure looks awful with no UNIT insignia. I was never excited about the ‘Talons’ Fourth Doctor so the ‘Terror’ Auton seems to be the only one worth having in that set for me. I feel the same about the other sets. I only really want the Bill Potts figure and the ‘Lets Kill Hitler’ Amy.

and for some people who live miles from a B&M that stock them this can be the cheaper option

Happy to finally get some series 10 figures though! Also while I was looking through the sets a member of staff asked me if I was one of the people who buys all of them in order to sell them on ebay later, so the staff know about the scalpers and their ridiculous prices! (Hopefully they’ll do something about it)

Or perhaps they could make sure that only one or two of each set is on the shelf at a time, so that someone can’t just pick up an entire shipments worth of a set at once!
@Anonymous I think they had about 4 of each set (Although they now have one less 12th Doctor set after I purchased one)!

August 12th, 2018 - 10:30amHi. Just been to the Tottenham branch (about 5 mins after opening, Sunday 12th) and got the last 1970s and Twelfth Doctor sets. They had one Eleventh Doctor set left after me and that was it, unless they have other boxes out the back. But it’s a vast branch so if there really are 4000 of each set as rumoured then I’m sure they will re-stock?
