Stocks Arrive – B&M 2019 Sets Product Codes, Prices and Information

Stocks have now arrived in many stores

B&M have now added the sets to their website at www.bmstores.co.uk

We have closed comments on all other B&M posts so they can be concentrated here.

Its that time again and this year there is probably more interest in these sets than ever before because of the inclusion of 2 brand new head sculpts, previously elusive figures, the 5th Doctors Tardis and a new line of Big Finish Doctor and Dalek sets.

Make no mistake this is a fine assortment of products considering the price points.

There should however be plenty of stock and the inevitable popularity of these sets over previous years appears to have been allowed for this time around.

The Tardis Sets have the same code as all the previous sets therefore the system cannot distinguish between them. If you require a specific set then it will need to be visually confirmed.

The 3 Figure Sets
all have new and individual product codes making stock inquiries much easier.

The Big finish Doctor Dalek Sets all have one code. If you require a specific set then it will need to be visually confirmed.

The Sonic Screwdrivers all have one code and are in the new Blue/Silver style guide.

For the most part people in the past have been extremely helpful in posting where sets have been found however we strongly recommend you check availability yourself before traveling.

The Product codes are as follows…

  • The 4th and 5th Doctor Tardis sets Product code 337412 £19.99.

  • The Second Doctor Figure Set product code 347790 £19.99
  • The Sontaran Figure Set (inc Harry) product code 347791 £19.99
  • The Seventh Doctor Figure Set product code 347792 £19.99

  • Big Finish Doctor and Dalek Sets product code 347793 £19.99

  • 10th, 11th and War Doctors Sonic screwdrivers product code 348589 £9.99

  • All Previous 3 Figure Sets Product code 294255 Price Variable

To find your nearest store visit www.bmstores.co.uk. Please ring (option 3) to check availability before travelling.

Anybody know if B&M Bexhill got them? Or any B&Ms “near” St. Leonards and/or Hastings?

Does anybody know what the volumes will be like? Previously I rushed to get the fourth doctor and tardis but they had plenty but With earlier products it was very hit and miss and a challenge to get before they sold out

10000 Tardis, not sure if thats a 50/50 split
6000 EACH of The Doctor / Dalek Sets
8000 EACH of the 3 figure sets
      10000 Sonic screwdrivers split unknown

How does that compare to previous years? I don’t want to fall into the “ebay trap”

      4000 3rd Doctor sets, 7000 (i think) 4th Doctor Tardis sets (100’s if not 1000’s still in stock i believe )

      6000 each figure sets

      Daleks/ Sonics untested

There is a fine line between not enough stock and over stock, I would say everything is about right here.

Booboo – A big thank you for putting together the “Closer look” page, comparing the B&M releases to previous releases. It must have taken some time to do that but I think it invaluable information. Now I just hope I can get a hold if these sets. We have to be thankful that B&M being still interested on DW but I so wish they did internet orders. Maybe they want to get people through the door, which is an uphill battle, but maybe they could offer online service for anyone with a post code more than 10 miles from their nearest store.

Exeter B&M Have moved their stock of 9th Doctor sets close to the entrance of the store and reduced the prices. I am hoping this means the new sets are on their way. No Who stuff remains in the toy aisle at present.

Take it with a tardis of salt, called three b and m’s all saying yes they had new doctor who stock, asked them to check and they said “yeah 11 and 12th doctors”, called one and they said they didn’t but knew the other store did, called that store and they had no idea how they had that info as no delivery yet. If you are going out your way, triple check to save disappointment from poor customer service

    • booboo

      August 22nd, 2019 - 3:02pm

the problem is they are just not used to this type of attention, the staff don’t know until they open the delivery exactly whats in it and even then its all Just Doctor Who to them, its not poor customer service, you just cant expect the staff to have the type of product knowledge the fans do.

its only 11.30, many stores won’t have even had a delivery yet let alone unpacked it, but yes its going to take a few days for stock to get fully out there.

    • Anonymous

      August 22nd, 2019 - 12:30pm

As opposed to virtually getting them from the stores?

    • booboo

      August 22nd, 2019 - 12:42pm

These are B&M’s exact words, not mine.

the stock is due to reach stores over the next few days but it’s looking likely that it’ll start to appear on shelves Thursday onwards if that helps? It’ll still be dependent on colleagues getting them out onto shelves though – but it should be in the majority by the weekend.

you can make your own mind up however you want to interpret it.

A huge thank you to B&M for putting their money where their mouth is and giving us more fantastic Dr Who sets.

If anyone from B&M management is reading this, please invest just a little bit more and give us a classic Tardis console set for the figures. You’ll sell thousands of them easily. (Unlikely to happen I know but worth asking for it.)

    Reply
    • booboo

      August 22nd, 2019 - 11:44am

the problem is a classic Tardis console is entirely new tooling from top to bottom and its been said i think it would take tens of thousands of units to bring it in at a reasonable price, a bit beyond B&M reach i think.

Crowd funding is the only viable option on this i think but that would take a proper and widespread PR campaign and even a prototype so people could be sure of what they were buying into.

I was watching Dragons Den the other night and thought someone should pitch for the Dragons to invest in getting a classic console set designed and produced.

There’s a potential huge profit to be made here for an investor.

    • booboo

      August 22nd, 2019 - 11:54am

If there were a definite huge profit to made Character would have done it long ago.

It really really isn’t as clear cut as people think it is.

I would think you would be looking at an investment bigger than any dragons den person as ever given.

    • Exterminator

      August 22nd, 2019 - 11:53am

If Eaglemoss can make a really decent looking classic console for £20 I’m sure Character Options could do an amazing one for the figures for say the £50 range.

10,000 units at £50 each that’s half a million potential sales.

    • booboo

      August 22nd, 2019 - 12:02pm

with about a 250K investment to get there, that’s one hell of a gamble, £10 goes in Vat so you would need to sell 7.5K Just to get your money back, sell only 7K and you have lost £1000’s would you take that risk?

Only way it works is if you have a guaranteed 8K take up, however i think you are looking more like 20K+ to make it cost viable

    • Bobby Davros

      August 22nd, 2019 - 1:07pm
