October 13th, 2020 - 10:06amHi all!
Firstly, I must say a massive thank you to Boo Boo for all the hard work that you put into this site – it is a must for a collector and you do an amazing job of keeping us informed.
I’ve been going around some of the London B&M stores (Leytonstone, Barking, Dagenham, Woolwich, Catford, Elephant & Castle etc!) and NONE have any new stock in. Plenty of 3 figure sets left, but no TARDIS or Dalek sets.
I have a sneaky feeling that we’re unlikely to see any new stock in these stores until after Halloween, but I’ll keep checking between times and if anything changes then I’ll let you know!
ReddDaleK
October 16th, 2020 - 5:33amWhich stores had the 3 figure sets?

October 13th, 2020 - 6:41amA suggestion from one of the Whovians who is able to still report the (lack of) stock situation where they are:
Given the sheer enormity of this “oversight” by B&M (and potentially Character Options), is there a way we can coordinate together to find out the number of stores that are void of stock right now (it’s over 100 I know that), plus those stores that have received initial infusions and/or replenishment of the new stock? That way a formal complaint can be levelled at the two companies, with hard evidence of this debacle. Maybe then we’ll get an answer to what’s gone wrong, and someone and B&M and Character Options will get the issue rectified. Because as it stands, we are completely in the dark, with no way of knowing what is happening, or when the new sets will begin to appear in the many areas that have yet to receive them at all. I mean for goodness sake, London and Cardiff are still void of stock! While at the other end you have (for example) Gloucester and Derby who have received replenishment of the new stock. And worst of all, you have the Scalpers, who are probably (or will be) making Bank because for some Whovians they are the only option (those who are tired of waiting, or who cannot afford to keep going out during a Pandemic).
Rant over, but surely B&M and Character Options can’t be blind to how potentially REALLY bad this problem is making them both look?
booboo
October 13th, 2020 - 9:40amFirstly once the items are delivered its out of Characters hands and very much down to B&M as to how these are distributed.
But with the talk of petitions and formal complaints i would rather leave that to others if they feel thats the way to go.
We have asked B&M, they did not reply so unless there is news from elsewhere or definite sightings in the void areas its now time to shut this down.
I will re-open it if stock finds its way to areas that have thus far not had any.
Martino
October 16th, 2020 - 11:09amI think B&M getting sacks of COMPLAINTS about its products is not the way to go. It’s a chain of budget stores selling a huge range of goods, formal complaints will achieve nothing other than sour the relationship between B&M and CO – particularly at a time when we’re actually getting all new figures like Harry & Romana. My local store rarely stocks the range, but I’ll get the figures I want eventually, petulance will not help.

October 12th, 2020 - 8:30pmHas anyone checked York Foss Islands today? I might go in tomorrow but it would be good to get an idea of what I might see beforehand.

October 12th, 2020 - 5:30pmIf you live near Bristol, I was just in the imperial park shop and they have all of the new sets except for the 5th doctors tardis

October 12th, 2020 - 5:08pmWonder how much stock is still yet to be distributed, doubt all the stock is already out there. Like many have said before, be very surprised if it just ends up being the north
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 5:18pmApologies if I came across as agressive but, have your local B&M Store or Stores haven’t received the stock yet? If they didn’t, that’s really, really shocking.
Prototype dalek
October 12th, 2020 - 5:52pmI live in the Leicestershire area and the nearest one’s to me with confirmed stock is Birmingham or i think Derby. The East Midlands has pretty much had no stock at all
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 5:59pmSame, without giving too much information on where I live, I live there and, it is pretty void of stock. I called the one at belgrave gate and, I was told they will not have the stock as it is allocated somewhere beyond the range of Leicestershire. Which is; A) Pretty dissapointing and B) Pretty bizarre.
Prototype dalek
October 12th, 2020 - 6:32pmAny luck in other areas outside of Leicester such as Coalville, Loughborough, Market Harborough or Hinckley?
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 7:06pmWell, I checked at the B&M store in Loughborough last Monday and, they had a couple of 2nd Doctor and TARDIS sets, one 3rd/4th Doctor Companion Sets (July 2020), plenty of Claws of Axos sets and a couple of 13th’s Sonic Wasps (13th Doctor’s Sonic Screwdrivers). The B&M employee on the phone said that, Leicester, Leicestershire, Coalville and Loughborough will not be getting the new wave of figures in stock. The new stock has been allocated to a different B&M store not in the areas mentioned.
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 7:08pmI really do apologise for this. =(
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 7:12pmOh, haven’t checked the other two stores though.
prototype dalek
October 12th, 2020 - 8:20pmAh well. Not your fault, no idea what is happening.
Maybe the other 2 not being mentioned might give some hope that they are on the list for stock.
Matt Y
October 12th, 2020 - 4:26pmCould it be that stores have two seasonal lines out at the moment be a factor? Once Halloween is over and that is stock removed there will be more room for toys for Christmas. Doesn’t match up with the North/South stock contrast. Just a thought.
booboo
October 12th, 2020 - 4:33pmsomething’s behind it, its taken a while for stock to get around to some stores before but never on this scale.

October 12th, 2020 - 3:09pmAnyone found any in the Leicester area?
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 5:21pmWell, last time I checked, the B&M at Haymarket had restocked on the previous wave. Unfortunately, I was told that, the B&M stores in Leicester, Loughborough and Coalville will not receive stock for the new sets, at least that’s what an employee on the phone, told me. Which is pretty bizarre.
Bakerloo Line
October 12th, 2020 - 7:46pmDid the Haymarket store have stock of the 2nd Doctor and Tardis set?
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 8:18pmWhen i went there, yes. Not sure if they still have it now though.
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 10:42pmHowever, as far as my memory goes, there were, i think, three 2nd Doctor and TARDIS sets. I can assure you I only bought one. Hopefully the B&M store will restock.

October 12th, 2020 - 3:03pmHas anyone had the chance to check the Lowestoft/pakefield/beccles or Yarmouth branches today, I’m stuck at work all day!
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 2:45pmHi, all. Has anyone been to Derby and checked for any of the new Dalek sets? Apologies for the repeated question.
Spacewarp
October 12th, 2020 - 7:00pmYes I live in Long Eaton and the Ascot Drive store and the Spondon store both had Daleks last weekend.
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 8:23pmDo you think they’ll be able to re-stock there? Apologies for the silly question
Spacewarp
October 12th, 2020 - 11:54pmI don’t know. It’s quite possible there are still Daleks there as I write this, although they went first during the last wave. Ascot Drive is my goto store for Who, because it always has a lot of stock. I suspect this is because it’s on an industrial estate so not easy to walk to. Daleks and TARDISes still seem to go quicker though. Last time i looked there were plenty of 4th and 13th companion sets, and both UNITs.
If you drive up to Derby on the A52 you can do a round trip of 4 good Who-stocking stores – Spondon, Meteor Centre, Ascot Drive, and ending at Ilkeston.
Doctorus
October 13th, 2020 - 9:33amMan, I hope I get at least the Dalek sets as, the B&M stores where I live, will never have them in stock. And, since you mentioned that Derby had plenty of them, I’m hoping to get at least one of each set.
MrWhelan101
October 12th, 2020 - 2:32pmStill absolutely no sign of the sets in the Brislington, Fishponds or Knowle stores in Bristol. Haven’t checked the others but I’d imagine its the same across the city and they don’t seem to know if or when they’ll get them.
booboo
October 12th, 2020 - 2:38pmfor over a week imperial park and Patchway have been showing some stock at least, have you tried those?
Bigman45
October 12th, 2020 - 1:51pmSlowly they are making there way south as now in Birmingham, why not have a map and everytime someone indicates the figures in that store a lovely red blob appears at the location. We’d then see the distribution….
booboo
October 12th, 2020 - 1:56pmthey have been in Birmingham for days to be honest and as far south as Bristol, Swindon, Hereford
Jack
October 12th, 2020 - 1:57pmIs this first time in Birmingham? They had these in Gloucester so not convinced this is a sign of stock moving south!

October 12th, 2020 - 2:00pmNo some stores had them week ago

October 12th, 2020 - 1:16pmStill no change at the Ipswich: Felixstowe Road branch as of Lunch-Time today.
booboo
October 11th, 2020 - 6:26pmSo update is no reply from B&M and reading around it seems others are being told the stock check system has been TURNED OFF
If this is correct there is no point in me checking the app any longer.
All people can do from now on is leave a comment as to where stock has been found.
Doctorus
October 12th, 2020 - 1:35pmThanks for your update, booboo. It’s a real, real shame that the Barcode Scan tool had been turned off. Really does mean that more time will be wasted as others will have to check B&M stores more and more frequently now. Anyway thanks for your help, booboo. Really appreciated.

October 12th, 2020 - 1:41pmI’m only assuming it has from whats been said so i dont want to look any more in case I’m giving out totally incorrect info.

October 13th, 2020 - 9:57amNone at the moment (last checked on Sunday 11th Oct). Like someone else mentioned, I have a feeling that these are being held back until Halloween has been and gone, as it will then give them back the display space.
