B&M 2025 History of the Daleks Set #20
A fresh new drop of Doctor Who sets at B&M
Character Options is excited to announce the details of the 2nd drop of Doctor Who Collector Sets for B&M Stores, for 2025. Available in September, these two exciting new sets will be the perfect addition to any fan’s collection.
For fans of one of the Doctor’s most feared enemies, the first set – Revenge of the Cybermen boast three impressive Cybermen figures whereas the second Dalek Battle Squad offers another old enemy in the form of an Imperial Dalek and Special Weapons Dalek from Remembrance of the Daleks. Each pack features a back of pack description, and details on the inspiration behind each, a summary of which is below.
History of the Daleks #20 – Rememberance of the Daleks (08388)
The set comes with one Imperial Dalek, plus the unique and intimidating Special Weapons Dalek with updated deco and some revised parts.
In this story from the final season of Classic Doctor Who – The Doctor returns to Earth in 1963 to retrieve an ancient weapon he left there in his first incarnation. Unknowingly though the Daleks have discovered the weapon and now two groups of Daleks are marauding across London to be the first to retrieve it. One group is loyal to Davros their creator and one is loyal to the Renegade Daleks.
As things heat up the Seventh Doctor and a group of humans get caught up in the crossfire. Davros sends an elite Battle squad to earth in a shuttle to retrieve the device including a heavy Weapons Dalek with a huge and powerful Cannon. The stakes have never been higher, but as usual the Doctor has a plan.
These new sets will be available in the coming weeks at local B&M Stores. The retail price will be determined by the store.

September 6th, 2025 - 11:17amAs everyone is second guessing what the next Vortex will be released what would be nice is a vortex set(s) of Daleks from the 1960 films it would have to be released by CO as they would have to get a licence from Studio Canal for rights to use the images. I can only hope!
beef
September 6th, 2025 - 5:24amThe dirt and oil paint app looks shocking, much worse than the original release which already needed improvement. Oh well, it can be fixed with a bit of paint.

September 5th, 2025 - 12:10amAs far as I’m aware, the only two CO exclusives left this year is a Dan, Sacha Master and Vinder 3 pack from Power of the Doctor and a velvet Ainley Master, the 3rd was to be a Wrath Warrior but tooling went awry so has been pushed back to next year.
Kev
September 5th, 2025 - 9:38amAny actual source for this?
Frightnight
September 5th, 2025 - 11:03amSource?
Douglas
September 5th, 2025 - 11:25amI would have loved……
A classic Tardis playset
Anthony Ainley Master…..
Any classic monsters from the 60s, 70s or 80s…..
Any since i’m wishing, a Sixth Doctor sonic lance, please……
Moonbeam
September 5th, 2025 - 12:03pmIs this info legit? Only asking cause the Dan/Vinder figures seem a bit low key for an online exclusive.
These sound like a shelf warmer to me.
Douglas.
September 5th, 2025 - 1:32pmLord, no……
Dan/Vinder figures…..?
I wouldn’t bother ‘saving my pennies’ for those……..
Fh
September 5th, 2025 - 1:36pmI hope this is a joke. Would rather Ainley and Sacha in a Master 2-pack. That would be worthy of an exclusive.
Jay
September 5th, 2025 - 2:07pmWhere did you get the info? Dan and Vinder are a little bit meh but will obviously buy it for the Sacha Master. Ainley Master in his proper outfit is a nice one too. Wrarth warrior is also a bit meh in my opinion. Obviously still gonna buy them all, lol.
Uncle Davros
September 5th, 2025 - 6:48pmBelieve nothing until confirmed by Al or this website.
PJ
September 5th, 2025 - 8:01pmDefinitely need an updated Ainley Master in his Velvet suit already have a head sculpt and could retool the Delgado Master probably?
Jeff J
September 4th, 2025 - 10:09pmTo be honest, I think I’d prefer two standard Imperial Daleks… I never liked the SWD! I suppose it will make the set up though. I’ve lost track… Has the Remembrance supreme been released in the HOTD range yet?
Fh
September 5th, 2025 - 1:37pmIt has, but they didn’t bother trying to replicate it’s iconic eye for some reason.
Philip Shaw
September 4th, 2025 - 12:26pmHow about The New Dalek Paradigm 5 pack exclusive set.
FH
September 4th, 2025 - 1:27pmIs that a suggestion or is this something actually in the works?
Richard
September 5th, 2025 - 3:04pmI feel as though they can space them out and make several sets out of them.
Victory of the Daleks Set 1:
Ironside and White Supreme
Victory of the Daleks Set 2:
Blue Strategist and Orange Scientist
The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang:
Yellow Eternal and Stone Dalek
Asylum of the Daleks:
Red Drone and Bronze Inmate
Peter
September 5th, 2025 - 6:37pmRichard – I would absolutely buy Set 1 of those. Could be easily swayed for more if the others looked good. 🙂
David Minter
September 3rd, 2025 - 10:22pmSome bad news for USA fans looking for this year’s sets. Looks like WhoNA probably won’t be getting ANY new B&M sets going forward. I e-mailed them earlier about availability of the 2025 sets under the current political climate and got this response:
“I do not think we will be able to obtain them going forward. We had to pay someone to purchase them retail and ship them. They were never cost-effective for us and we simply cannot afford them. Sorry.”
Whovian
September 3rd, 2025 - 9:00pmApparently there’s a CO online exclusive coming at the end of September and Apparently Al Dewar has said “Save your pennies and by that, i mean save you pennies”.
David
September 4th, 2025 - 9:42amHow do you know there’s going to be an online exclusive at the end of the month.
Nic Saunders
September 4th, 2025 - 12:17pmAny ideas?
booboo
September 4th, 2025 - 12:29pmpod cast or something
Andy
September 4th, 2025 - 1:11pmA seller on eBay said that but it was just a rumour that he heard that there was a online exclusive of a Pink TARDIS and Seventh Doctor from the 1988 Story The Happiness Patrol. But ave heard nothing or where this rumour has came from. Or it could be the Dalek Mother Ship from Remembrance Of The Daleks if this is true that would be amazing if they did do that. But take this with a pinch of salt this is just a rumour at this stage from a eBay seller.
FH
September 4th, 2025 - 1:37pm@David Even without confirmation from Al, it’s been expected that we’re getting an Exclusive in September just based on the maths of the situation. If anything the surprise to me is the revelation that it’s coming ‘late September’ and not 13th September as I was expecting.
FH
September 4th, 2025 - 1:38pm“Save your pennies and by that, i mean save you pennies” is not a great sign lol. The exclusives this year have so far already been stretching what I consider a reasonable price lol. Hopefully it’s something I’m not interested in and can pass on it easily. My guesses are either a classic TARDIS playset or… my best guess will be a Bessie.
Douglas.
September 4th, 2025 - 2:18pmSurely not a Dalek Mother Ship, Andy…….we never saw that….!
I guess you mean the Scout Ship……
I would pawn my wisdom teeth for a classic Tardis Playset…….
Whovian
September 4th, 2025 - 3:35pmI was going through stories on Instagram yesterday and someone had their opinions about it. I looked for information myself but couldn’t find any. But the “save you pennies” remark doesn’t exactly fill me with optimism if I’m honest.
Martino
September 4th, 2025 - 4:49pmThe Imperial Dalek Shuttle is too much to hope for, I suppose?
FH
September 5th, 2025 - 12:16amThis reminds me, I watched a recent video by Whotuber Who-Time in which he showed Al Dewar saying in a podcast ‘We have an item that we think is going to be quite exciting and are looking at as the start of a potential range if the first one goes well. I think it’s one of the few ones where I would possibly put it to your listeners: Who would you like to see next?’ Who-Time interpreted this as being the ‘fifth Character Exclusive of 2025’, however I listened to the podcast he was referencing, which was from 11 months ago, and I argued he could’ve been talking about the Ruby/15th Vortex edition, ‘starting’ the ‘Vortex Editions’, as I didn’t catch a specific mention of it being a part of the five 2025 Exclusives. This being said, maybe I’m wrong and this penny-pinching product Al’s talking about now could be it (albeit the fourth Exclusive of the year?). My thought while watching Who-Time’s video was that it could be a classic TARDIS playset, considering that’s something that could be a range of creating all the variants over the years.
Andy
September 5th, 2025 - 12:56amDouglas, This is just from a seller I bought off on eBay that was what he heard were just rumours he heard that there was gonna be Online Exclusive from Character. I’ve heard nothing but am.sure this site would be the first to know what’s coming if this rumour is true it could potentially happen in the near future if they are planning on releasing every figure from the Classic and New Series. Ah don’t see why they wouldn’t do some of the iconic ships in the series. But these are going to take forever if they plan to release every figure over 200 stories if you include the recent series if they only gonna be 2 waves each year which is 4 sets a year. These could just go on and on as long as the contract doesn’t expire. These just remind me of when each story came out on DVD in random order. These figures are like that from random stories. What do any of you guys think could these just go on and on. I’m only interested in collecting the Dalek Sets. I do think In time we will eventually see the Ironside Daleks and those what I call bumper Daleks from Victory Of The Daleks. With them being 5 different colours could be a potential Online Exclusive with all 5 included. Or 3 of them in one set then the other 2 in another. But let’s just wait and see. Got to go and hunt these sets down first when they start hitting stores.

September 3rd, 2025 - 5:54pmWhile I absolutely will be getting the SWD, as it might be my last chance for a low price.
The paint job is a big downgrade, the bottom looks as if it’s meant to be black with white paint painted over it, and the white paint is now chipping off rather than having the dirty look it’s meant to be.
ETM
September 3rd, 2025 - 5:48pmFor the first time, all year. You have my money! +All the bus fairs trying to find the damn things lol
TimelordTim
September 3rd, 2025 - 9:33amAlways wanted the SWD so very glad to see this getting released again, will go great with my Davros from last year. Then I’ll have the set alongside the Warlord Games equivalents on the display.
With the HotD sets jumping around the eras a bit more recently I wonder if we’ll get any paradigm dalek sets at all? Tea carrying ironside too.
The Toymaker
September 3rd, 2025 - 1:58amYikes, that SWD paint job is shocking. What with the gold bits on the Cybermen, I’m extremely glad I have the originals.
David Minter
September 2nd, 2025 - 9:19pmMy problem is I may not be able to get this set. With Trump’s tariff nonsense, I don’t know if WhoNA can get these into the US. And the UK could possibly join other countries in halting shipments to the US.
Bob
September 4th, 2025 - 3:52amI may not be able to get this either!!! Because I’m American!
Radburn
September 4th, 2025 - 3:58pmRoyal Mail have already halted USA dispatches
Tom Williams
September 2nd, 2025 - 7:30pmBrought this and the original Davies with destroyed last year but this one looks so much better in my opinion defo getting this and revenge set more when there out only one in giving a miss this year is the tardis unless it had the 15th doctor I wouldn’t say no
Tom Williams
September 3rd, 2025 - 8:50pmNot Peter Davies lol but Davros always auto correct
Robert Watkins
September 2nd, 2025 - 3:42pmI wonder if the damaged Imperial with claw from the twin pack will get a re-release at some point as well?
The DR.
September 2nd, 2025 - 7:30pmI Think that’s the Only one left to Release now. We’ve had the Standard Daleks, SWD and Davros as Supreme Dalek already.
JRT!
September 2nd, 2025 - 11:57pmAl said destroyed dalek would never be rereased, hope he changes his mind.
TARDISGuy
September 3rd, 2025 - 8:22amIt may be a case of lost or damaged tooling that’s preventing a re release
FH
September 3rd, 2025 - 5:22pmIt’s worth pointing out that he also said the Davros mould has been destroyed and so wouldn’t be released again and yet he found it so hopefully he’ll look down the side of the couch again and the Destroyed Dalek will turn up.
JRT!
September 3rd, 2025 - 8:48pmSure hope so FH
Andy
September 2nd, 2025 - 3:06pmWow these look amazing can’t wait to get my hands on one of these. The Cybermen look great as well but am only interested in the Daleks. Well they said September it’s only the 2nd day in these will probably be in stores in the next couple of weeks am sure there will be map for these shortly. That’s when the fun starts again in tracking them.down.
David Minter
September 2nd, 2025 - 3:02pmAccidentally hit Post before completing.
All joking aside, I like the apparent matte finishing on some of the parts. It makes the Special Weapons Dalek particularly pop.
David Minter
September 2nd, 2025 - 3:00pmWait, does the back of the box actually say Remembrance Of The Daleks was in the final season of Doctor Who? 🙂
booboo
September 2nd, 2025 - 3:43pmNo, the press release does but that’s obviously wrong
David
September 2nd, 2025 - 2:36pmI hope I can get the Dalek set. I’ve never had the Special Weapons Dalek. Just now wondering when they’ll be in my local B&M Stores up here Middlesbrough Eston Grange and Redcar Stores. The going to stores is terrible not knowing if any will in or not.
Master
September 2nd, 2025 - 1:56pmWhats with all the black on the SWD? Looks like someones been scribbling with a felt tip pen. The original markings werent great but better than this.
PJ
September 2nd, 2025 - 8:17pmNot great it looks a bit over the top the Revenge Cybermen set looks a lot better 🙂
Dave
September 3rd, 2025 - 10:06amI was really looking forward to this as the HOTD have generally had improved paintwork than the originals, and my SWD looks like someone has sketched in the oil with pencil… however, you’re right this looks like they’ve just upgraded from HP to Sharpie. I’ll stick with the original and save the painful trek around all the B&Ms!
WhoWhenWhy?
September 2nd, 2025 - 1:26pmLooks more like the Special Tippex Dalek caught short in a music festival loo to me!
Moonbeam
September 2nd, 2025 - 1:21pmAre the paint apps a little heavy on the SWD?
Alex
September 3rd, 2025 - 8:22pmSharpie Heavy
Martino
September 2nd, 2025 - 1:18pmA welcome re-release of the Imperial Dalek, hopefully signalling another chance to buy other classic figures in new combo’s once the HOTD theme is exhausted.
David
September 2nd, 2025 - 12:09pmI really want this set. Hopefully I won’t have to wait to long.
Vladnag
September 2nd, 2025 - 11:55amReally excited for this! I imagine the Special Weapons Dalek will go from one of the rarest figures to one of the most common with people army building the imperial Dalek!
Looks like they’ve remade the smooth imperial neck piece which is great, and I love the blue tint on the eye of the first release of the Dalek so happy to see it’s return, even though I’m not sure how accurate it is!
Fh
September 2nd, 2025 - 12:11pmSmooth neckpiece? I don’t think so, you can clearly see the… honeycomb pattern or whatever it’d be called in the picture. Unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re referring to.
Vladnag
September 2nd, 2025 - 12:31pmSorry, shoulder piece! Hard to know on a Dalek where on part starts and another stops aha
The original was amended to have a texture for the renegade Dalek release, so the slats around the shoulder have been inaccurate for all the future imperial releases
Fh
September 2nd, 2025 - 12:45pmOoh yes, my apologies I thought I might’ve misunderstood haha. Didn’t know that, that is great to know! 😀
FH
September 2nd, 2025 - 7:03pmMesh, not honeycomb, that’s what I meant. XD
David
September 2nd, 2025 - 11:22amI can’t wait to add these to my shelf
