BIG Chief Studios Ltd. announced a licensing deal with BBC Worldwide to produce a range of high-end collector 1:6 scale figures and 1:4 scale mixed media statues, based on the flagship TV series Doctor Who. The agreement includes rights for both the current series starring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and the classic series’, from the very first Doctor William Hartnell, through to David Tennant.

Initial product offerings will include highly detailed 1:6 scale versions of the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companion Amy Pond (Karen Gillan). Both figures will be fully articulated for maximum poseability and will feature authentic hand-painted character portraits, finely tailored costuming, signature accessories and themed display bases. To complete the first wave, other popular characters including Rory Williams and River Song will be released.

I think they’ve made a base for the figure that is styled like the floor of the TARDIS, and I think that they are releasing a TARDIS in the same scale as the figure as one appears to be in the background of that picture.

would look cool. wish these sort of people would make the 5′ figures they could release all the possibilities.

Well people are talking about these costing £100, I think £10 is too much for the 5” figures to be honest.

I agree with you there! The CB mini figures should be £1.50 or less but not lower than £1.00! The new tardis set should be £34.99 at least! The other sets are already expensive enough and why on earth are the new figures £9.99? I feel that if they are gonna release stuff release it at certain times(and make it stay like that) instead of messing up release dates!
I really enjoy your YouTube videos by the way! You are one of many youtubers who inspired me to join! Keep up the good work! 😉

This looks very realistic. If there was nothing to tell me that this was a figure, i would think it was a picture of Matt Smith himself.

From the Big Chief facebook page:

“Thank you all for your positive comments about our Eleventh Doctor head sculpt. We are working hard to ensure a very high-end product that will match our masters. The costume is currently under development, alongside numerous accessories. More news will follow soon. Stay tuned for updates!”

I like the sound of ‘numerous accessories’, we might just get more than the standard ‘sonic accessory’ with these!
