For the first time on limited edition vinyl, Demon Records presents a second series of unique audio adventures starring Tom Baker as the Doctor, following the success of Doctor Who – Hornet’s Nest. Once again every copy includes an exclusive, frameable portrait of the Fourth Doctor, hand signed by Tom Baker himself – just one of the treats inside this stunningly designed package.
An intricately die-cut, removable outer sleeve reveals a Demonic lidded box, inside which are 10 individual, beautifully illustrated LP sleeves featuring full cast and credits for each of the five stories.
The Time Lord’s encounters with the mysterious Demon are detailed in The Doctor’s Journal, a large 16-page full colour booklet featuring notes and illustrations from this epic pursuit through Time.
Presented across 10 x 140g alternating Red and Black vinyl discs, this full-cast audio adventure by Paul Magrs stars Tom Baker as the Doctor, with Susan Jameson as Mrs Wibbsey and Richard Franklin as Mike Yates.
The supporting cast includes Nigel Anthony, Samuel West, Jan Francis, Trevor White, Lorelei King and Finty Williams, and original sound design accompanies the familiar Doctor Who theme from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

June 14th, 2023 - 12:40pmThanks for the original post on this. I secured a box set. Wasn’t quick dispatch but arrived in excellent condition and contact with them was good the twice I sent a message. Given comments on bent signature cards I opened and inspected everything. One of the albums had a scuff and scratch. I contacted Demon Records direct and they are looking to resolve it. Can’t think how much of a waste it would be to return a full box set for one damaged album.

They said they’ve chased it up and it should be arriving within the next 48 hours but seems a little odd. Perhaps it was marked as dispatched before actually being sent out. Fingers crossed.

June 9th, 2023 - 2:43pmMy Set has arrived complete and was sealed. Very pleased indeed with all of it.
Not played any of the actual records yet but all seem clean with no damage or scratches. However not sure if anyone else’s set is the same but the colour of the records is wrong according to the photos in the ebay listing as well as in the photo above. In my set the 5 records that should be red are black and the 5 that should be black are red. Not a problem at all but just wondering if all the sets are like this so had to be repressed to be corrected hence a batch made which were incorrect colours for the records so they didn’t meet with Demon Records’ instructions and were given to the charity.

Promotion text above does state “Presented across 10 x 140g alternating Red and Black vinyl discs..” so does seem to indicate red first. (Presuming text is from Demon Records and not Boo boo).

I’m wondering if anyone who bought the initial release can verify if theirs are the same. I mean, it would seem to me a strange reason to dump an entire batch if they were just coloured the wrong way around. I could see it more if they used the wrong colours altogether.

June 9th, 2023 - 1:25pmMy Sets Just Arrived at 1.00. The LPs were Well packed and I’m very happy with the Set as it’s arrived in Excellent Condition.
However There was No Print inside. So I’ve missed out on the Tom Baker Signature. ( The main Reason I’ve been buying these sets).
As anyone else Recieved there’s without the Print included?.

Whole reason I bought it as I’m not a huge fan of the story and don’t even have a record player.

Btw I think my first LP is black and 2nd is red.

Sure hope so. Will add to my collection of variants and misprints, like my copy of Head Games with two copies of the same thirty pages (instead of 4-70, 70-100 it goes 70-100, 70-100), and my Five Doctors with the misaligned silver foil cover, among others.
I don’t even seek these out. They just seem to gravitate towards me.

I decided to look at there Feedback and it seems to happen alot were people are leaving Feedback that the Item wasnt in stock and “Eventually”Recieved a Refund.
Also Plenty of Feedback says there Communication is Terrible.
I’m not Amused.

I don’t mind the delay as such as I know nothing goes to plan.
I just wish they would Email me and give me a rough idea when it will be posted.

Some of them were for multiple items, some were for just one. Messy. Still, should be obvious to them so perhaps just tell us/refund our money. Not that that is an ideal outcome, given the savings we thought we’d made here.

June 6th, 2023 - 4:40pmAgreed, booboo, which is why I think there’s been some mixup between number of auctions and number of items. They get, let’s say, six copies to sell on one day. Perhaps a couple of people are responsible for posting the listings – possible, as different images were used for different listings – one of whom creates seperate listings for each one, and the other creates a listing for the total number of copies in one (this is how they looked) Therefore the multiple copy auction listing will be selling the same copies as the individual ones, though the number of listings in total matches the number of copies. It *feels* like that’s what’s happened here, and the lack of reponses and previous feedback complaining of no item/cancellations, seems to indicate they have an issue staying on top of things. We’ll see…
