April 13th, 2013 - 10:12amDo you think they’ll make a new tardis console set for series 7 in 3.75″ scale?
Nicholas
April 13th, 2013 - 4:03pmI expect so. As it wont be as expensive to manufacture, I hope they put the money they didn’t spend into light and sounds, and if possible a moving time rotor
wallm002
September 3rd, 2013 - 8:55pmIf they do make one it will be like the time zone playsets that you have to build. However there was talk that they are releasing all 12 doctors in the 3.75 inch scale and with them will be part of the console room that you then need to collect in order to build. But thats just a rumour
Sebatron
April 12th, 2013 - 10:01pmWhen I was little I made my own 10th Doctors Tardis. It was made with wood, a plastic bottle and paint!
The Driver
April 13th, 2013 - 10:09amDo you still have it?
drwhofan4ever
April 12th, 2013 - 9:35pmI dont understand why the 9th/10th doctors tardis was electronic and the 11th doctors tardis was not
booboo
April 12th, 2013 - 9:40pmcosts had increased greatly so i think they though it would push the price to high

April 12th, 2013 - 7:23pmI love the 9th/10th playset so much as its big so you can put mote figures in it, and the console is cool!
trenzalore
April 12th, 2013 - 4:48pmi liked the 9th and 10th doctor console it was so organic and i would love the 8th doctor’s TARDIS you could do so much with it
drjakeyoung

Andrew
April 12th, 2013 - 3:59pmFor me, the one in second place is the current console. It seems to be an amazing combination of the classic series TARDIS, with a few elements of the 2005-2010 TARDIS. Thank god we won’t be seeing orange everywhere anymore.
The Eighth Doctor’s TARDIS comes in third place for me. We unfortunately only saw it for a brief amount of time, but it looked so grand and massive.
Andrew
April 12th, 2013 - 3:56pmIn my opinion, the best TARDIS console room is the 2005-2010 one. It was large, looked as though it really was an alien spaceship which could travel in time. The worst one without a doubt was the 2010-2012 one. It looked silly. For example, using a typewriter as a control? The main control panel didn’t even face the doors.
What I don’t understand, is why people say that all of the classic series (minus the 8th’s) TARDIS’s were different. In my opinion, they all looked exactly the same, apart from adding a few buttons or one or two screens.
Esterath
April 12th, 2013 - 4:07pmAhem, the wooden TARDIS seen in The Masque of Mandragora to The Robots of Death? And the other TARDISes were different.
Andrew
April 12th, 2013 - 8:37pmThat was a secondary console room, not the main one.
Dalek The Supreme
April 24th, 2013 - 2:23pmI think the 2010 – 2012 console was great, it looked very Steampunkish and Doctory.
Andrew
April 12th, 2013 - 3:51pmI only own the 2005-2010 TARDIS console playset, as that thats the only one that was out when I bought toys for myself.
However, I don’t understand why Character Options have since taken the cheap option with everything, starting with the awful 2010 Flight Control TARDIS, which was a MAJOR backstep to the original, which unfortunately we are now unable to get hold of without paying a large sum of money. But then with the 2010 TARDIS playset, not including any lights or sound effects whatsoever.

April 12th, 2013 - 3:50pmReally want the 25th dapol one!!!

April 12th, 2013 - 3:56pmno private buyer but on ebay, he brought my entire dalek collection (30) 6 inch range for £250, and looking for a dapol set and said i had one, gave him a price and he said yes, i will have it this month!
dalek eternal
April 12th, 2013 - 3:45pmid love to see plastic and electronic tardis playsets which u can buy as just the console room and buy exspansion packs that clip on to parts of the playset so where doors are on the tardis or where the beginning of a corridor is u can buy exspansion packs like corridors to clip on. And with classic tardis sets u could have corridors that u buy and then u can buy some special rooms like the socondary console room which clips on to the corridors or the tardis bedrooms or swimming pool
Whovian42
October 28th, 2018 - 4:46pmThat would be cool
the astronaut of death
April 12th, 2013 - 3:38pmdose anyone know where I can get an 9th / 10th doctor tardis play set

Tardis’nt
April 12th, 2013 - 4:23pmAmazon?
Andrew
April 12th, 2013 - 8:39pmOn Amazon it’s £150. I doubt many people will pay that price.
The Flying Shark
April 12th, 2013 - 3:15pmMy favourite is the 9/10th Doctor’s, I want the 5th’s the most, and I want to talk about merchandise and the show, Mego/Bif Bang Pow and Dapol next.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
April 12th, 2013 - 3:06pmCharacter Option’s really should produce a classic series Tardis Console Room Playset.
‘The Five Doctors’ one would be quite preferable.
Dalek The Supreme
April 25th, 2013 - 12:09amAgree 100%. We need a Classic console with lights and sounds. Preferably the original or The Five Doctors version.
McGann is the Doctor
April 12th, 2013 - 2:44pmWhat is the 1:6 tardis ? What line was it for ?
DavidH
April 12th, 2013 - 2:43pmWow, you don’t happen to have any pictures, do you? I’d love to see how that turned out
jordan
April 12th, 2013 - 1:27pmDid anyone who got the junk console think it was very good?
booboo
April 12th, 2013 - 1:28pmi thought it was great
Dalek The Supreme
April 12th, 2013 - 1:30pmI don’t have it yet, but I would like to get it sometime so I have a console room, cause the only time I’ve seen the 2005-2010 console room, it was over $200, and the 2010-2012 console room is always $60-$80.
McGann is the Doctor
April 12th, 2013 - 2:45pmIt’s great, the only missing detail is the coat-hanger that they pull to start the engine and the seat belts donot look like red-carpet barriers as they were in the episode.
Though in some releases they are red.
Dalek The Supreme
April 12th, 2013 - 1:26pmI don’t have any consoles, unfortunately, but I would like the 11th Doctor and 10th Doctor TARDIS playsets, and the junk TARDIS unless they make a 1st – 7th Doctor console room.
jordan
April 12th, 2013 - 1:28pmI REALLY want the 10th Doctor`s console
Dalek The Supreme
April 12th, 2013 - 1:32pmSo do I, but I’d have to get the Smith one first since I have his figure but not Eccleston or Tennant. 😉
time and relotive dimens
April 13th, 2013 - 8:06ami have it. i got it at xmas
TheWhomobile
April 12th, 2013 - 1:11pmWhat I would actually really like to see is the TARDIS as seen in ‘The Time Monster’ as a playset. It actually has to be my favourite ever, it’s just such a shame the set was damaged and they had to go back to the old one
The Driver
April 12th, 2013 - 12:32pmWho actually uses the alien landscape (red) on the back of the cb tardis playset?
drjakeyoung
April 12th, 2013 - 12:34pmi do
the doctor 1055
April 12th, 2013 - 12:37pmi use it as tardis mini set
The Driver
April 12th, 2013 - 12:37pmI sometimes do, as its good for using any minifigures on.
The Driver
April 12th, 2013 - 12:41pmIt’s like 2 in 1
DavidH
April 12th, 2013 - 2:59pmI did when it was built, but it was at the back so you couldn’t see it anyway
Mels
April 12th, 2013 - 12:28pmThe 9th -10th Doctors Tardis Playset is my favourite piece of DW merchandise of all time. Ahhhh…. fully syncronised lights and sounds (plus ‘hidden sounds’) and a fully movable multi-effect rotor… Such a lively piece of merchandise.
The sad thing is I know we’ll never get a full motion playset like that ever released again, at least not by Character Options.
Dalek The Supreme
April 24th, 2013 - 2:25pmWho knows? They might make an electronic Classic Series console. However, I doubt they’d be able to fit lights and sounds into a 3.75 inch console.
mr
April 12th, 2013 - 12:15pmI don’t think they will, as they no longer do the 5″ range, but I really want them to make the new 11th Doctor TARDIS console.
Dalek The Supreme
April 12th, 2013 - 1:24pmDon’t worry, they’ll probably release it in the new scale.
Esterath
April 12th, 2013 - 12:10pmI think the best console rooms are the currnet versionm, the original version and the TV Movie version. I do think the worst console is the Tennant/Eccleston version.
josh smith
April 12th, 2013 - 12:28pmno the best is the time monster and the worst is the matt smith oe not the current one but the one bofre that
drjakeyoung
April 12th, 2013 - 12:42pmofficially a TARDIS is grown.
Esterath
April 12th, 2013 - 12:48pmjosh smith: That’s your opinion.
josh smith
April 12th, 2013 - 12:48pmits not though in the war games they say they are made using engineering
booboo
April 12th, 2013 - 2:48pmgenetic engineering maybe
Dalek The Supreme
April 12th, 2013 - 1:27pmI actually like the 2010-2012 console. My favorite though is either the 1983-1989 or the 1996 console room.
josh smith
April 12th, 2013 - 2:46pmeven batman march said that is wrong
Dalek The Supreme
April 24th, 2013 - 2:26pmThere were a lot of plot holes in RTD’s writing, I guess.
drjakeyoung
April 12th, 2013 - 12:03pmlol, i have that but during making it i decided to modify it and make it more like the 11th doctors Tardis! (please note, this was christmas 2009!)
josh smith
April 12th, 2013 - 12:02pm8th dcotor consol is the worst y do people like it? the est is the time monster consol
drjakeyoung
April 12th, 2013 - 12:04pmi don’t really like it either, but you have to admit, it would be a pretty cool set!
Andrew
April 12th, 2013 - 3:46pm@josh smith
Because they have a different opinion to you. And the “best” being the Time Monster is only in your opinion.
CONNORTHEDOCTOR
April 12th, 2013 - 11:59ami have all consoles apart from classic one, daol and 1:16 one.
Tardis’nt
April 12th, 2013 - 11:50amI broke most of my 9th-10th doctors tardis’ railings when i was smaller 🙁 and i have lost the actual console 😥 the rest is in a box but that is my favourite; it lights up and is very big.
I got my 11th drs tardis from sainsburys for £12! its quite small compared to the other one and it should light up and it is made of cardboard. I think that the new tardis should be made in 5″ as an exclusive with the doctor and clara figures – it will never happen though 🙁
Tardis’nt
April 12th, 2013 - 1:09pmOh also i have the junkyard tardis too 😎
