We at Robert Harrop Designs have been creating collectable hand painted figurines for over 30 years and have gained a well earned reputation of high quality and accuracy of detail.

Our extensive portfolio includes Thunderbirds, Camberwick Green, Beano Dandy and 2000AD to name but a few. A portfolio that is extremely nostalgic and very British, so it was no surprise that Doctor Who would be the next project that we wanted to embrace into our studios!

In partnership with the BBC, we have meticulously hand sculpted a range of 1:12 scale, hand cast and hand painted Doctor Who figurines, each made to strict Worldwide Limited Editions.

As a mark of provenance, each Limited Edition figurine will be numbered with a unique Edition Number and will come packaged in a presentation box with an Information Card and Certificate of Authenticity!

Special Weapons Dalek From ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ 1988

“Does it worry you, Doctor, that with it I will transform Skaro’s sun into a source of unimaginable power? And with that power at my disposal, the Daleks shall sweep away Gallifrey and its impotent quorum of Time Lords!”

  • Designed and Sculpted in Shropshire, England by Robert Harrop Designs.
  • Traditionally Hand Sculpted by Simon Boden.
  • 360 degree rotating turret.
  • Official BBC License. Each piece is approved by the Doctor Who television production team at BBC Wales in Cardiff.
  • Approximately 5.6 inches (142mm) tall.
  • A Limited Edition of Only 250 Figurines Worldwide.
  • Individually hand numbered with a unique number on the base.
  • Comes complete in a presentation box with information card and a Certificate of Authenticity!

The TARDIS arrives in London in November 1963, where the Seventh Doctor and his companion Ace discover that two rival factions of Daleks are seeking the Hand of Omega, a powerful Time Lord device that the First Doctor hid during an earlier visit to Earth.
One Dalek faction is loyal to the Dalek Emperor and the other to the Dalek Supreme. They are both focusing their search around Coal Hill School – the school that the Doctor’s grand-daughter Susan attended – while a military unit led by Group Captain Gilmore is attempting to resist their incursions.

The Doctor tries to keep Gilmore and his team out of harm’s way while the two Dalek factions battle each other for control of the Hand.

The ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ is the first episode where we see the deployment of the Special Weapons Dalek. Unlike a conventional Dalek, it has no manipulator arm or eye-stalk, but instead it has an enormous energy cannon capable of completely vaporised two Renegade Daleks in one shot.

A lovely item but ridiculously expensive. However it’s a very low production run so it’s to be expected. Obviously Doctor Who is only ‘so popular’ in Harrops belief.

I ordered the Dalek, Tom Baker and the Silurian and used the code no problem at all like Skonnos said if you read the offer correctly it does tell you that the discount is only on the items listed on that page and the order has to be over £100 to qualify but that also means free shipping a bonus and the Friends of Harrop discounted the Dalek down 10% from £95.00 to £87.50 which I am sure you already knew anyway.

Just signed up to Friends of Harrop and ordered this. It’s my first piece from them. I can’t wait to receive it!
It’s nice to see a company working so close with this site.

Me too, was a bit disappointed with the price obviously but the extra feature with the turning turret probably increased costs, not a deal breaker by any means…., it looks superb.

I’d have gone without the rotating turret to drop the price to be honest. It’s not as if they needed to add it to get the figure to sell; we know it will sell regardless. However it’s nice that they aren’t skimping on quality despite having now built up a clear customer base for these items. A lot of other companies tend to take advantage by this point and offer their customers low quality rubbish in the assumption that they’ll buy it regardless: see the new series 3 steelbook as an example.

Looks superb, not sure about these codes being put around though as neither worked for me. Great looking piece & looking forward to adding it to the collection.

Your purchase has to be over £100. If you just pre-ordered this it would come to £95. It also makes sense to join the club on RH. It’s free and you get an automatic discount on new items.
