I’ve been collecting and supporting all these DVD releases. I think there will only be two more ‘The Doctors’ DVD releases after ‘More Monsters!’ They are likely to be ‘More Heroes’ and ‘The Peter Davison Years’ I think.

How do these unlicensed discs get away with using BBC photographs? Talk about sailing close to the wind.

Probably because the people involved have supported the brand since the year dot and some of the monsters likeness belong to the writers not the BBC anyway.

It would serve no purpose for the BBC to stop them.

There are others doing far far worse out there.

If you look it up each of the photos shows a character copyrighted to the author not the BBC. And boo boo is right there are far more worse things out there. Barnfather has a relationship with the BBC through his work on the DVDs. Also, he has always sought to gain copyright from the holders on his work, not something others have bothered to do. If you look at the reeltime drama output it’s all above board and relevant copyrights are acknowledged.
