You and Who is the definitive volume on what it means to be a Doctor Who fan.
Compiled over the winter of 2010/11 by Doctor Who fan and Starburst columnist/reviewer J.R. Southall, this book is a collection of over 60 personal essays on the subject by fans of all ages, all backgrounds, and all nationalities.
Whether it be Doctor Who Magazine creator Dez Skinn, YouTube legend Babelcolour or a six-year-old girl whose father has a Doctor Who obsession, this book tells the story of how and why we came to fall in love with the show in the first place – and of how that love has grown and faded and strengthened and survived, of how that love made it through the Wilderness Years and burst forth afresh with the television revival in 2005, and of how that love will continue on as long as there are books and CDs and – of course – a television series to keep it strong.
And a lot of it will seem familiar, because no matter whose contribution you’re reading, which essay you’re enjoying, this book is very much the story of You and Who.
100% of the authors’ royalties from this book will be donated to Children in Need.

November 12th, 2011 - 1:42pmDear all, especially The Gent.
I am one of the writers in this book so let me clarify.
£3.50 from the cost of each book goes to Children In Need.
But this is only if you buy direct from Hirst’s website.
Buy from Waterstone’s etc and only £1.25 goes to Children In Need. Amazon – only 70p.
So go to the website link above! I think £3.50 is a decent amount to contribute and all the writers gave our contributions entirely voluntarily with no thought of financial gain.
Maybe less cynicism would be good for the soul?

November 9th, 2011 - 12:08amI actually think that this is a fantastic idea and I will love reading it when I get this book! Bit unsure of why the response thus far is so mixed.
