What Might Your Item Be Worth? – How to Find Out

We are often asked how much an item is worth – Well, using Ebay you can see what similar items have sold for giving some indication as to value.

Here is what to do…

First of all type into the search bar the item you want to value. In this case we have Chosen the Character Building Wooden Cyberman

Make sure you search “All Listings” and “All Categories”

This will Show you current unsold items on bidding or buy it now.

ebay-1

In the drop down box select “highest First”

Then, on the left had side under “Show only” check the “sold Listings” Box (Completed listings will show you unsold items as well which wont help to value an item).

ebay-2

You will now see all sold listings for your chosen item with the highest obtained price at the top.

If there are to many items you can refine your search using the categories on the left.

ebay-3

Things to remember…

Generally the First listing of a rare item will fetch the highest (as in the 3.75″ chase and Character building figures).

Trends Change so look at recently ended items for a guide.

Prices can vary widely, treat any prices as a rough guide only and dont assume you will always get the same for yours.

Hi, I have a large collection of ‘vintage’ Dr Who Magazines from the mid-late ‘80s and early ‘90s (106 in total), as well as a couple of editions of the Who Classic Comics series. Just wondering a ballpark figure for what these might be worth? Thanks

Hi so I used to be subscribed to this Doctor who Subscription called Doctor Who the complete history. And they once held a competition to see who would win a framed book cover of the 4th Doctor signed by Tom Baker himself. Keep in mind I don’t believe they gave away I believe they only ever gave away 4.

Clever as it’s the fourth Doctor

Problem is loads are seeking autographs on eBay and other sites so not sure of it’s worth??

What if ebay doesn’t have what you are looking to possibly sell in their system? I even scanned the bar code after using keyword and my product wasn’t found.

This is a great way of finding what people are bidding on current auctions, but is there a way to find out what things have actually sold for?
(Without watching a load of auctions until they close !)

My school’s WiFi blocked the ebay link so I can’t see what Remembrance set it is. Is it the one with the partially destroyed Imperial and the Davros Emperor version?
