Just seen various 2015 annuals in my local Home Bargains store, including the latest Capaldi Doctor Who one, all selling for £2.99 each!

Honestly, I am so glad they are getting rid of the dodgy DW thing from merchandise. It’s one of those things that initially seem awesome, but you soon get bored of the gimmick. Also, I thought it was really weird that when it was dropped from the TV logo completely in The Snowmen, it still stayed on the merchandise. Where’s the consistency, people?!

As much as the Annuals are mildly entertaining, I would much rather they returned to the yearly Storybook’s ~

There is very little effort put into the Annuals, whereas the Storybook’s were a joy to behold…

Capaldi as the Doctor looks very bad as and the image of him on the cover proves my point. He looks cool and his eyes seem to say a lot. Stuff like mess with me and you’re history.

I don’t think ‘bad’ is the right word. The Doctor is not a bad man. I would say he’ll be much darker than Matt Smith, and less likely to give second chances

      He meant ‘badass’.

Yeah, it was meant to say badass. Blame the stupid predictive texting I have on my mobile phone. No matter how many times I take the stupid thing off, it always comes back on so I just leave it on and double check everything I’ve written before I sent it. Clearly, I wasn’t paying close atttentoin.

Nice cover, but couldn’t Peter at least smile once ?.

Every picture I’ve seen of him as the Doctor so far, he just has the same facial expression [much like how that Bella girl from Twilight has the same facial expression for each emotion 😀 ]

This doctor is supposed to be a lot darker and serious so i doubt we’ll see him smile much

Don’t expect him to be too dark – from filming he is seen to be quite fun a quirky too. Capaldi, as many forget, is a comedian. He is into dark-comedy. I reckon his Doctor will be hilarious, yet also dark.

Finally, an annual that from the same year the latest series was on. I mean, the 2013 one was all about series six, two years earlier

nice cover, looks like Jon Pertwee, hopeful we get no silly jokes and Doctor who becomes more dark and sinister with adult themes
