The Surgeon
August 8th, 2014 - 9:06amWhy is the cover black and white when the episode wasn’t?
The Werewolf
August 8th, 2014 - 5:15pmMaybe they think it looks better that way?
The Surgeon
August 8th, 2014 - 8:17pmHmm… seems odd. And I don’t exactly understand why Tom Baker’s face is blue either. Maybe you’re right.

August 9th, 2014 - 11:30pmI think it’s because The Brain of Morbius is seen as the Frankenstein of space, so I think it’s just a corny reference to the original black and white film. However knowing the amount of films based around Frankenstien, I wouldn’t be overly surprised if there was a film called Frankenstein Vs The Martians.
The Surgeon
August 10th, 2014 - 9:47amOn a completely unrelated note, there’s something that I’ve been thinking about. After his appearance in Night of the Doctor, does the Eighth Doctor still count as a classic Doctor?

August 10th, 2014 - 2:14pmAt the moment the classic era is everything before Steven Moffat and his production team took over (so An Unearthly Child to The End of Time Part 1). Paul McGann appeared during that time, so he is indeed a classic Doctor.

September 5th, 2015 - 5:06amClassic Who is everything before NuWho, which refers to the current series, from Eccleston onwards. I guess that would mean McGann can be counted as both….

September 5th, 2015 - 5:15amGiven this a bit more thought, and to clarify my above comment. Classic Who is Hartnell to McCoy. NuWho is Eccleston to Capaldi. For me, McGann kinda falls inbetween, since a lot of the TV Movie contradicts or makes up it’s own canon, insofar as The Doctor and The Master are concerned. Also, because the original intent of the movie was to reboot, or kickstart a new series, which we all know never came to pass, until 2005. I would call McGann (at least until his Night Of The Doctor minisode) an ‘intermission’ of sorts, between Classic and NuWho.
