September 23rd, 2025 - 3:38pmYes I finally got the History Of The Daleks Imperial Battle Squad at the Pallion in Sunderland they had about 4 left after I bought 1 I shelf full of Cybermen Sets, and History Of The Daleks Eve Of The Daleks, and loads of last year’s Friends and Foes. it was the about the 6th Store and the last on my list I was beginning to give up hope plus Metro Trains didn’t help with a power failure at their depot.
So to help you these are confirmed sightings of all the stores I have been into today.

So those are the stores that I have been to today and what and where I’ve spotted positive items on my travels today so that’s me done for this year at least, so until next year when the hunting will start all over again. Hope you all find those sets eventually. This me signing off.

Getting really sick of paying double or more on ebay just to get the chance to obtain any of these items. There seems to be plenty of them on the after sales market, so why not distribute them equally across the country?

September 22nd, 2025 - 6:26pmFeeling the same. Its ridiculous! Do they not want to make the maximum amount of profit? My local store has had the Tardis set but no one Dalek (Eve) set yet. I have been going in almost every day (bar a couple of days) and nothing. It has become frustrating, annoying and a bit depressing. Yet the North has them restocked, stacked up and then reduced as they can’t sell them. Not one of the best profit making strategies ever. MORLU did you get the TARDIS set?

They get restocked because they sell, simple. If your store doesn’t get many or any its because historic sales are low.
Now these figures are skewed because of scalpers, people picking sets up for friends etc but that means nothing on the database!!!

September 22nd, 2025 - 10:41amSick of this. Been to Shields twice over weekend. New sets not in. Was told Tuesday. I am at work today and just had someone else check as I can’t get there. Nothing there, spoke to guy dealing with them and they said someone was in this morning and cleared the shelf, no doubt to go straight on eBay!! I makes my extremely angry that this always happens and they do nothing about it. It’s all about money….

U r probably sitting there with both sets so U don’t care, but this happens each time there are releases and it is not just the North that get them, as I live in the North East and always struggle to see them in the local b and ms and visit regularly.

September 24th, 2025 - 8:20amI haven’t actually, the Cybermen have eluded me so far but they will come back in, just like every other set has done.
And as for NE, I was up there a few years ago and you couldn’t move for sets in the one near our hotel!
And again, what can be done? B&M don’t care. They haven’t got the resources to police our toys (that’s what they are).
If people didn’t buy from scalpers they wouldn’t do it.

September 23rd, 2025 - 10:20amI had a look yesterday and there is 4 tardis and 3 eve of the dalek sets, no sign of the imperial daleks yet but it would be worth looking on Wednesday or Friday. there is not much Dr. who fans so its safe to look next Monday if you don’t want to check often.

Tbh paying an extra £8 or whatever is better than petrol & wear & tear on my tyres so. My hunt is over.
If you work out the fees that ebayer paid say £4 plus £4 postage he’ll get £33-£4-£4 so £25 so 1p profit for him of course minus his petrol cost & the scalper is at a loss ☺️ boom!!

September 21st, 2025 - 9:51pmWhy not just wait a bit? It only just came out, the prices are always high at first but they go down after a month or so. I got the new 15th Doctor TARDIS, new and sealed, for £21 including p&p a couple of weeks ago. The trend is always it starts High because it’s new, goes Low because of availability and then gets High again after a while as it becomes rarer and is no longer in store.
Also sellers don’t pay fees on eBay anymore, so the seller probably made a bit of profit on that. Which is fine, they provided you a service by ending your hunt didn’t they? Not that I support that but it just seems weirdly hypocritical to be against scalping yet supporting it by happily buying at over retail price for an item that you could get cheaper just by waiting a bit….

There’s no sense in delayed gratification if you’re a collector, as the sweet spot for buying is totally random & you might not see the set at the price you want for years. Ditto any collection. You should try collecting Hummel figurines …

September 22nd, 2025 - 12:24pmIt’s not random Martino, it’s logic. As I said, its a trend. I’ve been collecting these for years this way due to not having any other option as no b&m near me and it always happens. You already wait long enough, why not a bit longer? It’s not ‘delayed gratification”, it’s avoiding getting ripped off by unnecessarily paying high prices for brand new items of which there are an abundance when you can literally just wait a few months at most and get it for retail price or even cheaper. I recently got the Parting of the Ways set for £10.
Tbh, if people want to buy for higher prices I have no problem with that and I would’ve been congratulatory that they got the set they wanted for a decent price, but the hypocritical nature of ‘I’m gonna stick it to the scalpers by buying from them anyway but then imagining they’re at a loss and celebrating that even though they’ve apparently done me a favour!’ made me want to distill some facts about the situation.

They had a eBay business account not personal so therefore they will be paying quite heavy fees so my point in question still stands sir, I win as the scalper had to pay fees and did not make a profit. I did not get in my car and drive miles, therefore my petrol consumption is nill and my tyres and gear box heck even my steering wheel has not been used therefore I win ok now there’s a good chap.

So just 1 REVENGE left after I’d gone.
No REMEMBRANCE. 5 Eve of the Daleks.

September 21st, 2025 - 2:41pmUpdate with Team Valley: They had both sets there, after I bought mine they had 2-3 cybermen sets and 3-5 #20 Remembrance Dalek sets (I can’t remember the exact number)
They also had some Eve Daleks (#21), Parting of the ways Daleks (#19), 15s Tardis, Friends and Foes pack and the new master replicas Daleks (as far as I can remember) if anyone is interested.

September 21st, 2025 - 2:21pmBoth sets in Preston Riversway but……. Cybernan sets were all absolutely soaking wet on the shelf – two were damaged so badly with the cardboard being so soggy.
I found the least wet set and luckily it’s intact and drying out at home. It was torrential here yesterday but someone must have put the boxes on a soaking wet floor. Very odd and poor on their part.
